Troubleshooting Enrollment Issues on Cloud SotiMobi Control Server

Howdy all,

I am attempting to enroll some Samsung A9+ tablets. After successfully enrolling ~20 tablets, I have 7 tablets that will not enroll. I cannot seem to find where enrollment logs are located on the cloud server so I can troubleshoot further. Can someone point me in the right direction? I am on version 15.6.3.1018. I also have a support ticket in, but would like to resolve this myself if possible because it is faster.

Thanks!

Hi Isaac,

Thank you for posting on SOTI Pulse.

Please follow the following steps to find the enrollment logs

  • Take the RDP of server
  • Open MobiControl Administration Utility(MCAU)
  • Go to log settings
  • Change the MS,DS AND DSE logs from info to verbose and click on save and clear
  • Now reproduce the issue and note the starting and ending time of the process.
  • Now open MCAU and go to log settings and then click on view to see the MS,DS AND DSE logs.
  • The enrollment logs will be on DS and check with the key word enrollment to find the logs
  • You can copy the logs to notepad and then change back the log settings from verbose to info.

Please let me know if you have any concerns regarding this.

Kind Regards,

Hi Issac,

I have never heard before that Soti allows any customer to RDP to his/her subscribed MobiControl cloud instance, and I don't think there can be any recent change of policy from Soti due to security & other reasons.  Thus I think you  can ignore the post from TMLMOD@SOTI

Actually, to see/download DS/DSE/MS log files, one can accomplish by selecting the 'help" button related pull-down menu after selecting  "Servers" in the top menu of MC web-console.  I really don't know why changing log-levels in the same pull-down menu have been removed in the v15.6.x releases.

Anyway, for cloud instance, you can always open support case by sending email to support@soti.net, and Soti cloud team will contact you to provide help.
