Using Android Enterprise on a Zebra MC93/MC94 and need to disable copy/paste function. Velocity has a copy/paste option, but was hoping for something quicker without having to update the package.
Hi, when an apk is imported with the enterprise app method, regardles of upload or url import. How to retrieve or download the apk that exists now in mobicontrol database? i dont want to install it on a device, i need the imported apk. thanks
Looking to find a way to either configure a custom data field or generate a report that gives me a breakdown of a specific system app version across my entire fleet of Zebra devices only; I have never messed with Custom Data configurations nor any reporting and what I have seen only gives a brief overview of how to pull the config file once created, but how do I create that custom data file in the first place and how to I make it collect the information I need? Specifically I am looking to collect the verison of the Android System WebView application as its version is going to negatively impact a custom application and need to see what devices I need to rollback the OS on.

Hello, Since Android 15, some applications, such as Microsoft Warehouse Management, or the developer options, are no longer visible during a remote control session. This issue occurs with both the web-based version and the legacy plugin. This is due to the new ‘disable screen share protections’ setting, which is unchecked in the developer options, under the Apps section. The adb command to enable this setting and recover full remote control display, without a black screen, is as follows:adb shell settings put global disable_screen_share_protections_for_apps_and_notifications 1 Is there a script that can do this in MOBICONTROL? Or with ZEBRA StageNow?
Hi everyone, We are experiencing an intermittent issue when initiating Remote Control sessions on our Android Enterprise Work Managed devices. Issue Description: When launching Remote Control, the device screen visually renders 180 degrees upside down. However, the touch mapping remains correctly oriented to the physical device. This creates a situation where clicking an area on the remote screen registers input based on the actual orientation of the physical device rather than where the elements are visually displayed. Because the visual display is inverted while input mapping is normal, navigating or opening apps becomes nearly impossible without blind guessing. Environment Details: MobiControl Version: 2024.1.2.1046 Affected Device Model: Samsung SM-X358U (Galaxy Tab Active5) - It has also happened on other devices and models, this is just my most recent example. OS Version: Android 16 MobiControl Agent Version: 2026.2.1.1003 Remote Control Plugin Version: 2.3.0.0 Management Mode: Android Enterprise Work Managed Previous Workaround: In the past, we used a Legacy script to resolve similar display detection glitches: _resetfailedrcdetectionflag restartagent However, this script no longer appears to have any effect, likely due to changes in Android Enterprise permissions and script deprecation. Has anyone encountered this inverted rendering issue on recent Android Enterprise builds or found an updated script / setting to fix or reset the Remote Control display layer? Any insights or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!
Hello all, we have a problem and we don't find a solution .. We work with SOTI onPremise v15.6.6 and device are Zebra TC78 under android 13/14. We need to install an application make by another company on devices. App works fine with the sandbox -> environnement of test App production is not working we receive a message -> device verification failed ... Off course we write to the person who create this application for to know what does it mean but until now we don't have any information ... But i find something strange, when we enroll the device we used adb for that: adb install path adb shell dpm set-device-owner "net.soti.mobicontrol.androidwork/net.soti.mobicontrol.admin.DeviceAdminAdapter" type url for SOTI if I turn OFF the developer option, open application we didn't receive any error message ... It's the problem, how we can disable this proprety with SOTI ? thanks a LOT
Hi, I am currently troubleshooting an issue and trying to rule out several possible causes. One of the things I would like to confirm is whether MobiControl is reapplying a Managed App Configuration to an Android device, for example after a reboot. The application is configured in two steps: The application is installed and a Managed App Configuration is applied through MobiControl. Once the application is installed and configured, we send an additional script from MobiControl to perform a second configuration step on the device. After some device reboots, the application is sometimes found in a state similar to the state immediately after step 1, before the second configuration step has been applied. I am investigating several possible explanations and simply want to rule out that, for some reason, MobiControl is applying the Managed App Configuration again. Is there any MobiControl log, Android logcat entry, device syslog, or other diagnostic information that would allow me to confirm when a Managed App Configuration is actually applied or reapplied to a specific device? I am already reviewing Android system logs captured with Zebra RXLogger, but so far I have not found anything clearly indicating that the Managed App Configuration is being reapplied. It may well not be happening at all, but I would like to confirm this so I can eliminate it as one of the possible causes. We're looking to deploy an Android tablet with Soti surf in our visitor centre, so members of the public can access a section of our website. What we need it to do is, after a certain period of time not being used, return to the home page. Looking in the settings, I can configure an "auto refresh" but that's not what we need. Is there a setting I haven't seen, or another approach to solve this? Thanks
Hi everyone, We’re using iPads with iOS 26 and Soti MobiControl 2026.1 (on-prem version). They’re set up in the Apple Business Manager portal, and I’ve also linked a Soti MobiControl account to Apple; the connections show that everything is okay. All the firewall rules are set up as well, but when I try to connect an iPad via the Apple Manager, I always get the error message: “The MDM server certificate for … is invalid.” In the enrollment policy, I’m simply using the “Internal MobiControl CA.” What I’ve noticed is that the time on the iPad is 10 hours off from our local time. But I can’t set the time beforehand. Apple only wants the Wi-Fi data and handles the rest on its own. Does anyone have any idea what might be causing the certificate error? Lately I am noticing that our devices are powering up and showing all the apps in an uninstalled state although they are clearly installed on the device when i remote in. SOTI is reporting a false state for the apps until i send the restart agent script. And as a result other profiles that rely on the app status state are being removed or installed. What could be triggering this? Right now i am having to monitor what comes online as showing uninstalled so i can send the restart script to have them check in where they then pull the right status of "installed'. I'm not having to install anything, the apps are there just reporting wrong in SOTI until a manual check is done.
In the older version 2025.1 when you clicked on a devcie you had an option to check the location. We just upgraded to Version: 2026.1.1.1453 and i cannot find that option now. Can someone tell me where that is now?
