The problem is that almost all devices in SOTI are marked as compliant, but they still cannot connect to Microsoft 365 services. The corresponding status comes up, the respective device is not compliant. Theoretically, the process is now as follows: (I am basing this primarily on the Microsoft article) User signs in to Microsoft 365 services The device is registered in intune SOTI now searches for the device based on criteria (these are currently being requested from SOTI Support and then added here) SOTI updates the compliance status The registration is successful So, now we seach for which devices from SOTI are in Intune? To answer this question, a report of all devices was pulled from SOTI: Reports → Device reports (flat view) → Device Information We used a PowerShell script to check which device from SOTI could also be found in Intune. We used the IMEI as the identifier, which corresponds to the device name in SOTI. Result: Not a single device (except for one card file) from SOTI is in Intune. In general the sync seems to be working. You don't see any red warning signs in the respective configuration pages: However, on all devices (checked randomly) you can see the message that setting the compliance status failed: Only the device I use is checked positive (u see in my mail before) and can be found in the powershell. The questions (without answers) that arise from this are: Why don't the devices appear in Intune? Why doesn't SOTI find the devices? What identifying feature is used to find the devices? (In the DB environment one would speak of a foreign key) Why do the devices disappear when SOTI takes over? I hope, you can understood, what our problem is. The further problem is the sharded device mode. Our devices aren't shared devices so the share device mode is not enabled. We tested the following scenario here: Enable shared device mode in SOTI and in Intune. Disable the policy 202. Now we can open “Teams” on MobiControl but the device is not registered in EntraID and without CA.
I dont know if this is something unique to pixel devices, or if it has affected others, but I am noticing on my devices, that the the apps in the Work Profile do not appear to be waking the screen, despite the phone vibrating and pinging to make you aware that say for example a message has been received. I have had a look in the notification settings, everything appears to be turned on for the app, yet the screen does not wake like the apps in the personal profile. Any help would be appreciated.
Hi, Is there a configuration so as not to have to confirm the pairing of a Bluetooth headset during an NFC contact? Bluetooth management is authorized in the lockdown profile but each time you connect a headset, there is a window asking to confirm the connection. I would like there to be no confirmation window and the connection to be confirmed automatically.
I am looking to enrol my Android Pixel 7a's with a Corporate Personal (COPE) enrollment policy. After enrolling and testing functionality, i noted I could'nt locate the device remotely, with it always timing out. Looking at the Location permissions on the Pixel 7a itself, I can see that the SOTI Mobicontrol app has not been granted the location permission for the version of it with the little briefcase (im guessing the work profile version of it). If i manually grant it permissions, I am able to locate the device on the mobicontrol console. Surely this permissions should be granted automatically, or be requested as a part of the enrolment, which it is not. It isnt even an option to request this during setup. Anyone else come across this?
A customer uses an Enterprise browser solution of honewell android devices (VM1A and CK65). After an certain time, the backend will drop the user session when it's inactive for approx an hour. There are some problems with the frontend, which thinks that de session is still active. Is there a solution that we can trigger an application kill when a device hits the inactivy treshold?
We've got about 1300 Android devices in our environment currently but none have them have a username attached so we don't know who each device belongs to. Is there any way to collect the username data from each device? Changing the enrollment policy won't really help since they are already enrolled.
We are getting a popup on our scanners that reads "attention required please tap each item and proceed with the pending actions". When this happens, the scanners stop connecting to MobiControl. When we enter the admin credentials, we are prompted to grant SOTI permissions. This happened all of a sudden on scanners we've been using for years. Any idea what the root cause could be?
Hello, I'm trying to add an bluetooth shortcut to our lockscreen. The user should be able to add a new connection but not go any further settings wise. We are using Honeywell CT45P devices which are AE deployed, the lockscreentype is Activity Suppression. I managed to open the 'connected devices' screen (Screenshot 1) and the 'identify_activity' script will return 'com.android.settings/.Settings$ConnectedDeviceDashboardActivity'. But in this screen the user gets the option 'Connection preferences' (Screenshot 2) where several settings / menus can be accessed which is not what we want.If I try the 'identify_activity' script in the 'Connection preference' section the response is 'com.android.settings/.SubSettings' which is not helpful. Is there a way to determine and block this settings seciton? A call for the third screen ('pair new device') could also help but the response for identify_activity is also 'com.android.settings/.SubSettings'. Thanks in advance for your help.
Hi, I have a few devices (Datalogic Skorpio X5 with Agent Version 15.1.5.1049), and sometimes these devices don't have the buttons to Remote Control and has the RC Error in Supported APIs. To fix this I can send one script with "retryrcdetection" and it works. However, after some time, the RC Error appears again. I create a profile with one Task Scheduler to execute this script everytime one device has RC Error in Supported API (filter by Supported API in assignment), and it seems to work ok. I am interested in knowing if there is a definitive solution to solve RC error. Regards
Hello We would like to offer our employees around 30 PDF files on their tablets in kiosk mode. I would like to have a button that then shows the contents of the folder and I can select a PDF that is then opened. I don't want the employee to have to choose anything. It should all just open the PDF in the standard program. He shouldn't be able to leave the folder either. What is the best solution here?
Hi. I want to setup web browser kiosk on Samsung A7 lite T-220 Tablet - Android 13 When I set surf lockdown item into single app mode it asks for draw over other apps permission, but it is already turned on. I tried native/suppression method lockdown, there is same issue on both. Draw over other apps is allowed, but mobicontrol all the time show notification lack of permission. I want to setup kiosk mode, and restrict user to exit browser. Do you have any idea? Device: Samsung A7 Lite T220 OS: Android 13 Agent: 2024.0.3 Build 1194 Enrolled as Work Managed
Dear Support,We're using 2 models of devices in our operations, Zebra ET51 10" Android 11, and Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 10" Android 13. Both devices are enrolled to same group, with the same profile assigned and fully installed. I'm having problems with those. With ET51, I'm able to remote control but I cannot get to admin mode using button in SOTI, I got this error: ERROR Error sending the Enter Admin Mode action to 1 device(s). With Tab A8, it's opposite, I can enter admin mode using button, but with remote control screen is white. Therefore, device is responding when I'm using navigation buttons on a right side (back, home, volume).Any idea why is it happening? How to fix it?If there are any more data necessary, I'm willing to provide it.Thanks in advance.Wiktor Mlynski
Hello, I would like to register our Android devices with Microsoft via SSO. I have configured the group of devices so that colleagues have to register their phones with their Microsoft account when registering. However, after successful enrolment, SSO does not work for the O365 apps. There is a connection between Soti and Microsoft and I have also created a CA rule. Unfortunately, I still have to log in to each app individually. Does anyone have a solution here? Android 13 SamsungGalaxy xCover 5Soti Mobicontrol 2024
Hello, sometimes our devices have an internet connection via WIFI or mobile but they are shown as disconnected in the mobicontrol console. I think that the script '_resetfailedrcdetectionflag restartagent' would help in this instance but as there is no connection from the console to the device I can't send the script. My idea was to create a home screen item which execute the script but I don't know which action need to be chosen or how to build the intent for the script. The devices are enrolled via AE and we are using the activity suppression in our lockscreen. Kind regards, Lucas
