Hello all, We have mobicontrol on version v15.5.1 onpremise. For one of our client, we just give the device TC78 under android 13. Some application are installed on these device, and when these apps starts or login is did, apps create some profile datawedge .. I don't know why but some profile in datawedge are not well created (symbologie) .. Last week, i make a remote connection on these device, disable lockdown, go to datawegde, profile active some symbologie and so on ... I loose 2 hours more or less .. For this reason, i would like to export the db datawedge and upload to our server with a sync file Like this, i can have a good db datawedge, and if this problem arrive again, i make a sync file download with __chmod 777 ... and all will be ok :) My problem is, i try to export the db datawedge to the server with a sync file .. I don't have these device actually next to me, and if i made a remote control on these device, it's not possible to see the db after to have exported the file of course .. Here is it how i make the sync file: Upload Device file name folder -> /storage/emulated/0/Android/data/com.symbol.datawedge/datawedge.db Server file folder name -> E.\.. path and it's work because we have a lot of sync file Any idea, how i can get the db datawedge to the server ? thanks a lot

MobiControl is showing incorrect storage usage information for enrolled Zebra MC9300 devices. I'm trying to troubleshoot file sync rules to upgrade devices from Android 8.1, 10 & 11 to Android 13. Old file sync rules that use to work in MobiControl 15 no longer work in 2024.1.2.1046 Device was factory reset with StageNow Barcode and enrolled with StageNow Barcode with SOTI recommended JSON file. Exact Zebra model is MC930B-GSEDG4NA with 32 GB of storage on Android 8.1 Mobicontrol reports 16.26 GB/17.35 GB used Device itself reports 14.44 GB of 32 GB is used How can I correct this?
Hi all, I'm deploying Gboard along with a managed app config and have the following challenge. Our devices have a scanner attached to them that's set as an HID which causes the on-screen keyboard to hide itself. Within Gboard there's a separate setting from the physical keyboard setting that forces it to show itself. This however doest not seem to be a setting that we can push through the app config. Is that correct? Also what are the options for the Keyboard Mode within the app config? There does not seem to be a lot of documentation about the managed app config options. This setting:
Hello SOTI and Friends, My question is in regard to updating the WiFi password. Our devices are enrolled into MobiControl using a QR code generated from our Enrollment Policy. The QR code sets up the device's network connection and other MobiControl configurations. To change the Wi-Fi password, do I need to create a new Work Managed Profile with the new SSID and password? If I apply this profile to all devices, will it permanently override the existing Wi-Fi settings, even after a device restart?
Hi Everyone, I sucessfully did the implementation of my CA into MobiControl. (AD CS DCOM)I created the needed templates for my devices. My devices are not logging in to my 802.1x EAP-TLS SSID it is only "saved" under wifi configuration.I am testing with Samsung and Zebra devices on Android 11/13. As I checked the certificates on the devices on the Zebra device the CA root certificate is not selectable as CA certificate. On the Samsung device it is selectable.Both devices are not logging in. Can someone tell me what it "Identity" does? The Android devices wants to have an identity or I am not able to connect to the WIFI. Maybe I have a misconfiguration on my Windows NPS server? I can't see any logs there.
Hi. I use Honewyell XT socket plugin so it is possible to view battery information like serial number in Xsight. I would like to add serialnumber as custom data in mobicontrol panel. Then I could create a signal rule that would e.g. display a message when a battery that shouldn't be there or is damaged is put into the device. Is there a way to use xSight data in Mobicontrol?
Dears,I'm facing an issue on new devices running Android 14, Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 4 Pro.Agent Version: 2024.0.5.1062MobiControl Version: 2024.0.1.1020I have a profile applied, with Lockdown and Camera and Gallery added to the Lockdown screen. Both apps has been enabled with script enable_system_app com.sec.android.app.camera/com.sec.android.gallery3d. However, when trying to open a camera, I got a pop up that "Security policy preventing use of Camera". Camera is enabled in feature control. I do have the same device running Android 13, enrolled with the same profile, where this issue is not present.Does someone faced similar issue, and have a solution?Best regards,Wiktor Mlynski
Hi there, we have some new devices Zebra MC9400 with Android 13 and Zebra TC58 with Android 11we see more and more when enroll devices that google play is having troubles to update. Sorry text in Dutch. I took hours before he show me some applications. Can someone help?
We have tried the Managed Google Play Profile settings for Wiffi only or never update settings. Setting to Wifi only doesn't really do anything. We are currently setting it to never update, but not sure if that will work either. Is there a SOTI feature, script or Profile settings for the below?
Hi all, we, as a partner, are facing the challenge of remotely upgrading Android 10 and 11 devices to Android 13. Affected are different customers with different devices. Mainly Zebra devices but also other OEMs. It is not possible to perform the upgrade via LifeGuard OTA, configured in the MobiControl console. Neither it’s possible to transfer the OS ZIP file to the device and start the upgrade via script. Crucial for this is the change from full disk encryption to file based encryption from Android 11 to Android 13. All our customers want to upgrade their devices OTA, without any interaction directly done on the devices. They have hundreds and thousands of devices, distributed all over the world. A workaround from Zebra is provided to prevent data loss: https://supportcommunity.zebra.com/s/article/000027787?language=en_US But for this workaround, its complex to set it up in the first place and according to reports it comes with problems and bugs during and after the upgrade process. To get a clean upgrade and SOTI enrollment, it is recommended to factory reset the devices, upgrade them, and reenroll them in SOTI. Because of the manual processes, it is not suitable for our customers. Even by configuring the processes in tools like StageNow, there are sill too many manual steps involved for the end users. What are your experiences with that topic? Do you have any solutions or workarounds? I would love to hear how other partners or customers are solving that. Thank you in advance.

Good Morngin to all, We need to change the setting related to the screensaver on our Honeywell CT30 devices throug SOTI script. The device is enrolled with Android Enterprise and it has Android 11. Agent version is 2024.1.6.1140. The screensaver setting is activated by default and it start "While docked".But we want to change the setting for start "When charging". So, we have found a way on old CT60 with Android Classic (Android 9), by sending a simple legacy script: writesecuresetting -sec screensaver_activate_on_sleep 1writesecuresetting -sec screensaver_activate_on_dock 0This work well on old Android Classic devices, but it seems don't work on new Android Enterprise.I've read some articles related to the fact that with Android Enterprise and with last version of Android, some script won't work correctly because of Google policy. So I'm here to ask, if someone know a way to do this.I see in the logs that when I sent the script, it seems to be not recognize correctly. On old CT60 once the script is done I see:Custom log (URI:content://settings/secure SETTING:screensaver_activate_on_dock VALUE:0)Custom log (URI:content://settings/secure SETTING:screensaver_activate_on_sleep VALUE:1) But on CT30 I just see: Script was sent to device (writesecuresetting -sec screensaver_activate_on_sleep 1 writesecuresetting -sec screensaver_activate_on_dock 0) It seems the script is not recognized correctly from the device and the setting don't change. Is there someone that can help me? Or maybe, it is just not possibile to do this with new Android version. Thank you!
