I'm trying to install SOTI MobiControl as a fully managed device to my new Zebra TC72 Android 11. We have to be connected to the company's network/wifi in order to enroll SOTI in the past and we used StageNow to install. However, this time I'm doing this remotely from home. So, I had to install Cisco AnyConnect first to connect to VPN out of the box then install SOTI using an external SD card. It was installed successfully, but I was prompted to create a work profile. Is there a way to install it as a work managed while connected to VPN? Or was it me installing AnyConnect that was causing the work profile? Note: Our SOTI MobiControl version is: 14.3.4.1087
Good morning, i have a brand new Zebra MC9400 that i am trying to enroll in soti mobicontrol, but i can't figure out how to make the unattended remote control to work. I followed the guide here: Enable SOTI MobiControl Remote Control for Android Enterprise Device Owner (AEDO) Mode (zebra.com) that says that this new models doesn't furhter need the Zebra soti plugin Zebra_Legacy_RC_AE_1.16.10.121.pcg. Without this package in the profile, i can only connect to the device (on the device screen is also prompted to accept the screen casts request) but i can't interact with the device, that is mandatory for our enterprise requirements. I also tried to add the package Zebra_Legacy_RC_AE_1.16.10.121.pcg in the profile (it was working with MC9300) but with no luck , it won't install in the device. My question is, why is the remote interaction not working ? Our mobi control server version is 14.2.0.2894 (cloud appliance) Many thanks, regards

Hello, I'm trying to enroll Android devices (EDA52) offline to onpremise server. Already gave up on QR enrollment as that way the device tries to connect to Google services first no matter what I try. So now I'm trying a workaround... I setup the device manually, connect it to our offline machine wifi and sideload the agent via cable. So far so good. But when I try to enroll through the agent and my enrollment link, it creates work profile instead of work managed device. The device is in correct group, but no soti profiles are pushed to it as those are for work managed devices. Basically no matter what I try, it just does not work as I would expect. IT security will not let us open the wifi even that little bit.
Recently I began upgrading our devices from Android 10 to Android 12 and made necessary preparations for devices to use Velocity File Assistant. I noticed that having file assistant on android 10 devices caused issues so I decided to wait until the entire department was upgraded before putting file assistant on the devices and considering the wldep file stayed in the correct location after the upgrade it was not immediately necessary. Over the weekend I learned that the previously employed admin had a rule in place to kill greenscreen each Saturday, deleting the wldep file and using file sync to grab it again. As Android 11 introduced new strict policies this file sync rule did not work so I was scrambling to resolve this issue from home OTA which we did by installing Velocity File Assistant through SOTI. Today I am working to ensure this does not occur this weekend and noticed that Velocity File Assistant only moves the file once despite what is listed on the invanti support page here https://help.ivanti.com/wl/help/en_US/Velocity/2.1/admin/file-assistant.htm. What I have gathered so far is that I use file sync rule to place the wldep file in /Download/com.wavelink.velocity. If I freshly install Velocity File Assistant and grant it permissions upon first launch, the file moves as intended. If I then delete the file from /Android/data/com.wavelink.velocity/files using script wipeapplication com.wavelink.velocity or manually delete it then I reboot Velocity all I get is demo mode. The only time I have been able to move this file after wiping velocity is by uninstalling and reinstalling Velocity File Assistant. Operations is insistent that they want the program cleared each Saturday as they have had complications in the past that I am told this fixed so I would appreciate some help if possible!
Hi, We're managing Dual sims in the simcard settings manager on the phone. However i was wondering if this is also possible via sending a script to the device. It happens that our end users need to take out sim 2 and switch to a different phone for the evening. Upon inserting the simcard again, we have to manually go back to the simcard settings manager to setup sim 2 for only calls. It would make it efficienter if this could be done with a script sending to the device.
Good afternoon,I cannot find any way to completely hide the android navigation bar on our devices while on lockdown with single app mode on.We are working with Android Enterprise profiles Manufacturer Elo Touch Solutions Model 15in-I-Series-4Android version10 I did try with writeproofsetting scripts but not sure I have the right one.The bar is already disabled but best would be to be able to hide it or at least replace it with the gestures navigation. i have issue of my team that "user forgot PINCODE to unlock screen" and open ticket to me for resetpassword but i cannot because of agent not online (may be agent connected long time) how to fixed this case
I am trying to find out if anyone else sees this behavior in the managed app config for Chrome. There is a setting in Chrome app config called "Enable saving passwords to the password manager" this is a Bool entry for True or False. If I leave it off chrome ignores that setting all together. If I turn it on and apply it will set that to true, and you can verify with the Chrome://policy in the address bar on the Android device. If I then set it back to off it shows in the policy as False. But then if I use a product like Samsung SDSA DataSweeper or send a wipe-application script to chrome it removes that policy all together. does anyone else have experience with this? any other settings that I have in Chrome will re-apply to chrome after the wipe.
i have some issue that SOTI agent offline when screen off , so, i can not remote or send script to that device, in this case for . to resetpasscode script " i have problem user have been forgot passcode" i want to resetpasscode but device offline to reset, so i want to stay awake all time even lockscreen. or who have other solution to fixed it, please advise
Hello! i want to move some Zebra Android devices from current SOTI MC deployment server to a new MC deployment server without having to re-enroll them. It should be possible somehow, maybe with a script...sendintent command should be able to change parameters on devices. Does someone have experience with this? HI. We have a inhouse app on 3-400 Android devices that requires a certificate to be installed on each of them. I have managed to install it manually, but not sure if its possible to deploy it to all devices. When manually installing it, I needed to set a passcode on the device when installing, and disabling that passcode again after installation. All devices are not connected to internet, only local network, so they dont have a passcode configuered, and we dont want that either. if possible to install cert remotly on all devices, is it required to set a passcode in the same operation to have the certificate installed on the device? Anyone who can assist here please?
