Hello , Any suggestion for this issue. We have modal MC55AO windows Mobile and barcode scanner is not working for staging\enrollment from MobiControl Stage client , No beam light and sound where scanner is working for normal scan.

Has anyone been successful in removing files from their MobiControl server that is hosted by SOTI in a method other than manually? I am using two file sync rules to ferry files between two devices. The files do not need to accumulate. They are sent, processed and removed on the receiving device. The first file sync rule moves the files correctly to the hosted server file store and deletes the files from the source once successfully uploaded. Works wonderfully. The second file sync rule copies the files to the destination device, but there is no method for removing the files from the hosted server file store within the rule setup as there was with the first rule due to the direction of file transmission (Server to device). I have already received the standard SOTI technical support response on this which is to go to Global Settings -> File System manager and manually remove the files. This means removing files one at a time from the assigned folder OR deleting the folder and then adding it back (dumps the whole folder contents when folder is deleted). I am canvasing this forum to see if anyone has come up with a neat workaround for the lack of functionality in the file sync rule setup. I would much prefer a method to handle this on a daily basis or per some sort of schedule than to have to manually remove files (time is money). I have already tried creating a "post sync script" and it will not work. Scripts only function on the end devices and will not affect the hosted server. Please note: the server is hosted by SOTI. It is not a server I loaded MobiControl on that I have any access to whatsoever. I cannot create a batch file or script to perform this as I do not have that type of access to SOTI's Server.
Hi, I migrated our on-prim MobiControl server to an on-prim cloud service server. I added the new server address as the secondary deployment server in the MobiControl admin application so the devices would connect once the old server was shut down. Some of our sites didn't power on there unused devices as instructed and the secondary/new server address didn't get pushed the those devices. Is there any particular file (PBI.INI) I can edit to reflect the secondary address (new server address) or do I have to wipe MobiControl and re-enroll those devices? These are all old Windows CE devices. Thanks,
Motorola MC55A0 & MC5590 disconnected from SOTI server after migrate SOTI server to AWS. These devices are offline and not connecting to SOTI server even after connected network\WIFI. What could be the reason and how to fix it to make it these devices get connected again to our SOTI server. These are on OS Windows Mobile /CE and version 5.2 Also wanted to know is there any process , config to switch the WIFI network from one SSID to another SSID without any impacts.
Hi we are just starting on the journey of locking down our Windows Modern laptops with Mobicontrol. I know how to create MSI's for silent application install but wondered if there is away of firing up Bitlocker when the laptop joins Mobicontrol without it being 'chatty'? Currently the user has to click next, decide where to store the key etc. I want this to be completely silent and as seamless as possible. Can that be done?

Hey everyone, i am currently wondering how i am supposed to change the default browser for the classic lockdown mode for Windows Classic or Windows Modern devices to open URLs. The info box for the lockdown says that the lockdown mode is using the default browser. I have set Google Chrome to the default browser on my device. But when i open the bookmark it opens the bookmark with the lockdown browser and not Google Chrome. And then i get the error message that my browser is not supported and that i have to use other other browsers like chrome,firefox, edge, opera... I found here that you can give an intent to a url. We have version 15.3 on prem, I am trying to enrol Windows Servers 2012 or 2019, the MCagent says installed successfully, but is not connecting back to the console, nor is any logs being created on the console to indicate that the device is\has being registered. I created a desktop rule along with device agent manager, created a Microsoft windows 2019 and 2012 agent. Any help on this would be appreciated?

HI, After an MobiControl Upgrade for an OnPremise installation from V. 13.4 -> 14.4.9.1034 we get this error when we are trying to perform a device agent upgrade for a Intermec CK3. The current agent version is 13.4.0.4164. The log says: Error sending file (Error sending file "\Temp\PPC_ARM_1449M_SIGN.CAB", Timed out waiting for response) Device disconnected Invalid device software version (Upgrading the device agent on [::ffff:10.41.139.143]:58424) Device (Agent) checked-in Any idea on how to resolve this.
