Hi We have some devices that are been set in some more restricted enviroment and we are having some issues getting the device connected to server, I'm looking for some more info how this works in practise. MobiControl version: 15.4.3.1012Agent version: 15.1.5.1049 IT has confirmed that Ports are open for (Outbound) as described in MobiControl documents, we have other applications on devices that are currently working and communicating ok. SOTI MobiControl Device Agents Binary/HTTPS 5494, 443 Outbound from the device agents to the deployment server If my understanding is correct this is only needed for communications, is there any answer from server that possible can be blocked after Agent initiates connection?Would there be possible for server respond to be blocked in FW even tho (Outbound) rule is set? Also how much would "Latency" be impacting the Agent connection, how high result would we talk before Agent would see problems whit connections and starting throw "Time-Out" before server could respond? Scenario for these devices might have an high "Latency" as we are currently awaiting answer and testing on this.
Hey guys, we are using Soti Mobi Control Version 15.5.2.1003. Ee get the problem, that Mobi Control send every month a new wlan certificat to the devices. With version 14.... it was once in a year. yet we got sporadic the problem, that then unit can't connect with this certificat and we must push it manuel to the devices. has someone the same problem and can solved it? Is it possible to increase the certifcat renew time? best reagards Franko
I have some new devices that have been okay to work with that we are deploying with Android Enterprise and are in lockdown mode but by default launch with Gesture based controls. This is confusing some of my end users and I was hoping for a way to change them into the old Android 3 button option from within Soti. I know that I can go into the settings within the device itself but I already have a few in the field and I was hoping to just change them without having to remote in and update them one at a time. I am fairly new to the system but any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Tim
Hi, I am in the middle of testing this myself, but has anyone any knowledge they can share on any implications of declining the google service permissions presented during the google setup wizard ? My case is for fully managed devices but happy to hear for any other cases too. TIA Adam
Hello Guys, I have another question for you out there. I need to configure the APN settings for Samsung Tab Active 3 devices. As I saw it correctly in the logs it seems to be not possible over the profile. This message appears: "Feature is not supported (APN)". Is there another method to configure the APN? I have to do this for more then 500 devices.

I have some scripts I want to send out to a department of laptops to help configure a new VPN we'll be using. The first script enables Split Tunneling and the other adds and app trigger for mstsc.exe. Because of how busy the members of this department often are, I'd like to leverage MC to send these scripts to each laptop for me. Digging into the error, it seems most likely that this is due to the script not actually running as elevated. Has anyone successfully sent and executed a self-elevating Powershell script through Mobicontrol?
For a customer with approx 50 - 100 Android devices planned in Soti Mobicontrol, we want to set set it up with a single touch (one barcode). The only issue is, all the devices schould have fixed ip adresses. Is there an option to manage this by scripts to set the Wireless settings and ip settings based on serialnumber for example.
Hi, Can anyone see what (if anything) I am doing wrong here. Parent device group has a compliance policy against it, and so filter group is meant to be "All complaint devices in this parent group." We can see by the device icon that Device Details recognises that the device is non-compliant, yet appears within the filter group. Now I have read there are two compliance values in the background. Complaince Status (Depreciated having values of true/False and Compliance Status having values Complaint/Non-complaint/Pending. Mobicontrol version: 15.6.0.1018 Device: Android 11 - Fully Managed Android Enterprise Any hint/tips would be greatly appreciated Thanks Adam

Hi all, i have a strange problem. We have Honeywell CN80 Scanners in our warehouse. When i enrolled a device, it get a application run controll to disabel some Apps. The scanners have Android 11 on it and my Soti is on Version 14.6.1. Now when the device is enrolled and i want to move it to another group and i need to restart it. The device will be in a boot loop. Have anyone a idee how i can fix it?
Do i have an old version where only WEP and WPA are available? Id like to configure devices with 802.1x but i cant find a version where this is availabe and neither an update on the playstore. Is the Stage Programmer discontinued?
Hi all, we are running work (fully) managed devices and upgraded some time ago to Mobicontrol 15.6.1I wanted now unassign apps from our managed playstore to clean up the list shown in the Mobcontrol console when editing an app policy. But now i noticed i can only assign new apps to the playstore but not the other way around (anymore). Can someone help here? Maybe I just don't see it. Edit: I found this in the api documentation which maybe could do what i want (set "IsApproved" to false):/android/managedGooglePlayBindings/{referenceId}/actions/{enterpriseAction} But there you need the enterpriseAction to be filled but i can't find the relevant entry anywhere where i can see which actions are available. Wasn't a possible solution, only "sync" is available to this API call.

Hi, I have FileSync Rule (AE Managed Device) that is uploading multiple files to the devices. One of the file is .js and I would like to execute it if if any of the files changes but I don't know how. Only option that comes to my mind is to copy whole script to the FileSync rule script box but I would rather not as it could change in the future and it could lead to mess. The script itself is not created as (function(root).. , it begins simply with "try {.." so I'm not sure if I could load it with "require" and if yes how to launch it as whole script/file I will be glad for any suggestions
