Good morning, I need to automatically set an app as "device admin": It is the last one "Retex Poli MSS". Is it possible to do it remotely with a script and/or other methods? Producer: Zebra Model: PS20J OS: Android 8.1.0 Enrollment type: ANDROID ENTERPRISE MobiControl version: 15.6.0.1018 Agent version: 15.3.0.1006 Thank you
Hi community, when we enroll devices to Mobicontrol it prompts Google web browser (not secure website) and we need to press "Advanced" and continue to this address manually. I guess we're missing the certicate in this view. https://xxxxxxxxxx/MobiControl/WebConsole/home/global-settings/CertificateAuthority Is there any guide that I can follow to have this setup correctly or do I need to create a ticket? 1) Is it the ADCS type I shall use? (we have an on-premis server) 2) I have exported the root.cer from the mobicontrol admin utility, is that correct to import here? 3) How to get the pfx file?
We are trying to find a way to reduce data usage and I cannot seem to find a way to have a network default to metered. I'm also not sure if data saver settings can be managed with Mobicontrol either. So far, it has been a lot of manual setup for each tablet.
I'm using MobiControl Cloud version 15.3.3.1065 to manage Zebra TC21 devices running Android 10. Chrome is the only browser installed. I need to open specific web sites in Chrome from the lockdown menu. I discovered that browser:// and browsers:// do not work unless I add Launch://com.android.chrome to the lockdown menu. Using an intent to open the web site in Chrome also does not work unless Launch://com.android.chrome is added to the lockdown menu. Why is this happening? I don't want Chrome on the lockdown menu.
Hello All, I've been trying to deploy SOTI Surf 15.6.0 to a Zebra MC93 (Android 11) but without success. The error message is "Package "net.soti.surf" version 15.6.0 Build 7 failed to install. Incompatible platform / processor / OS". I'm working with SOTI Mobicontrol 15.6.0.1018. Any hint? Thank you in advance for any help, Carlos
Configure Date / Time, language and country on Datalogic Skorpio X3, X4 and X5 Hi, I'm a new SOTI user.I am doing tests to manage our Datalogic Skorpio X3 (Windows CE 6), X4 (Windows CE 7) and X5 (Android) PDAs in SOTI. The wifi network to which the PDAs are connected is closed and has access only to a production server, the DC and the Soti Cloud server.I found how to get the date / time from the NTP (DC) server unfortunately by default the PDAs are in the US zone so they synchronize on the US time zone and not IT. I have to manually go to the individual PDAs and tell them that they are in Italy and that they must use the Italian language. Is there a way to put them in the right geographic area automatically? Thank you.
Unfortunately, it is no longer possible to access data from a notebook on a Samsung TAB A8 tablet in kiosk mode. It is installed the latest client 15.3. The tablet runs Android 12 in kiosk mode. If I take out Kios Mode, I can access the data of the tablet. Does anyone have a tip?
I signed up for soti one free trial but didnt see mobicontrol. Am planning to try out mobicontrol functions
Hello !! Is there a way of knowing which profile/rule is assigned directly from the group (without manually verifying the profile installed on a device?)
I noticed under the profiles tab in 14.4.9 there is the option for Out of Contact. I would like a script that automatically revokes the certificate and deletes the device from Mobicontrol if it has not checked in for 3 weeks. Is there a script for this or possibly another way to achieve this? Thanks
I've got a issue where when speed controls are activated the tablets we use freeze and have to be restarted to come out of it? It's only recently happened, it was fine a month ago. Anyone else had this issuse or knows of a fix? Tablets are: Samsung A7 Lite
Is it possible to start the agent on an Android before a user logs in ? Or how do I get onto an android when it has only been switched on ?
MobiControl Version: 15.5.1.1010 MobiControl Agent: 15.2.4.1034 Device Enrolment Method: Android Enterprise Work Managed Device: Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 Lite (SM-T225) I have an issue that has started in the last month or so, where the majority of our managed devices have started using abnormal amounts of data, and upon looking into it on the device it is showing as coming from the Google Play Store. Typically, we would see less than 1GB of data from the Google Play Store per month, but we are now seeing 5GB+ consistently. As far as i can tell we cant dig down deeper and find out why the Google Play Store is using this much data, but i would think it is one of the following options: An app being downloaded, then automatically removed by our App Catalogue Rule, then repeating that process constantly Apps updating in the background (seems unlikely as 95% of the apps on the device are the pre-installed Google apps). Possibly also being affected by the App Catalogue Rule? Android OS update being downloaded and then failing to install as we block this on all devices (dont think this would be the Google Play Store though?) Is anyone aware of any way that i can narrow down what would be causing this issue? Alternatively, is there a script that can be used to prevent the Google Play store from using data unless it is connected to Wi-Fi? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Kind regards, Ryan
I am looking for a way to trigger StageNow on a Zebra MC9300 to consume an XML. I would like to do this with JavaScript because I need to edit the XML with device data before I consume the file. The only way I currently know how to trigger the device to consume the XML file is with a legacy script but really don't want to have to run 2 different scripts to edit and consume the file. Thanks in advance.
Hi all. Has anyone found a feasible solution on globally updating their Android devices without impacting the bandwidth at the various locations the devices are located at?
