Hello ! I encountered an error while installing the MobiControl v15.6.0 software that I want to configure on a local network. Indeed, the error "Catastrophic upgrade failure; please restore to a previous version of MobiContro" appeared. Itwaswritten "DAC Message: Message SQL0: The DAC history table will not be updated." at the same time on the installer. Does anyone know how to solve this problem?
Hello all, i want to disable Apps on a Honeywell CN80 with Android 11. On my other Phones in the company, i can enable Apps with following script: enable_system_app com.sec.android.gallery3d Is it possible to disable Apps with the same script, but with the disable in front of it? Or is it possible to do it with another script? Thanks for the help.
Hello, I have an OU with an Android v11 tablet in there. I've recently installed settings manager but I'm unable to find any networks when scanning for them. The scan button will run and rotate as if functioning (with "stop" replacing the word if I need to cancel the search), then just revert back to the "scan" option again. Incidentally, when I go into the administrator mode I can go to the regular tablet settings or notifications bar and said networks are visible and available to join, so there may be something upstream in terms of profile or package configuration I'm thinking? Feature Control settings: Allowed Wi-Fi management Wi-Fi - Allow user to configure Settings Manager: Wifi Enable and Scan permitted
New here. We turned off a lot of features in an attempt to make the system 'locked down' using Mobicontrol. We must have input the incorrect wifi password, but have locked out the ability to join a wifi network. With the settings menu turned off to factory reset, the inability to join wifi we seem to have bricked the tab. Powering off the device and accessing the menu via VOLUME UP and POWER there isn't a "Wipe Data/Factory Reset" option. We are unable to use this tablet for anything until factory reset or joined to wifi.
Hi Everyone, I have noticed and they happening frequently now I am getting disconnected when remote controlling Zebra Android MC33 devices. The only wait to fix th issue is to wipe and re-enroll the devices.
Does anyone know how I can export the location history for a group of devices in SOTI MobiControl? I have managed to do this previously but for the life of me I cannot reproduce the data I had output previously. I essentially want this data as presented for an individual device but for a group of devices and in either CSV or XLS format; I have tried every report I can think of but nothing seems capable of exporting this data. MobiControl is hosted on-prem v15.4.2.1020
We leverage MobiControl to manage our CK65s and CT60s. We also leverage Staylinked SmartTE and have historically pushed the staylink.ini file located in "%sdcard%/Android/data/com.staylinked.AndroidClient" using a MobiControl package so that it can establish the initial Staylinked sever connection. As of Android 11, MobiControl can no longer push files to the "../Android/data" directory. I had come across this on the Honeywell support site: https://support.honeywellaidc.com/s/article/Android-11-permission-required-for-Workspace-One-Agent-SotiAgentBut this doesn't seem to work for the CT60 or CK65.Staylinked allows you to manage the SmartTE config once connected, but we need to be able to pusht he server address via the staylink.ini file prior to it taking control.Soti is currently working a case on this.I have a ticket into Honeywell.I have a support request with Staylinked.I also have some help coming from a VAR we purchased the equipment through. So now I'm reaching out to the community to see if anyone has had any luck with this at this point? One of the issues is that when the Honeywell firmware package is pushed to upgrade the devices from 10 to 11, it seems like the SmartTE config is also wiped out as the application is updated.Unfortunately, I'm running out of ideas short of a firmware rollback, which isn't something I want to worry about later since 80 of these devices have yet to be deployed. It'd be incredibly helpful to get them on the latest version of Android for the device prior to deployment.
Hi, I need to manage dual sim device as follow Sim 1 should only use for take calls Sim 2 should only allow to use for Internet access (all applications should access Internet via this sim only) user should not able to enable the Internet on Sim 1 or disable the Internet on Sim 2. Device model Samsung A12
We have several lockdown profiles on our Android tablets, which limit users to only accessing certain websites. However, if they click a link in one of these sites, it will allow them access to the linked page. I have tried using the Web Filter options to only allow the preset websites (see below screenshot- websites blanked out), but the links onto other domains still work. I've also looked at using Soti Surf as a browser but can't see how to configure it on the cloud hosted server. Can anyone advise on what I'm doing wrong? We need this sorted ASAP as they're being deployed next week.
I have configured shared device for Android and iOS. On Android it works. On iOS I login and after MFA, this message appears on both the device screen and in the logs: Failed to authorize user because the user is not permitted in the Shared Device configuration. I'm using the exact same user on both Android and iOS. The configuration for shared device in Advanced configuration is exactly the same on both. Anyone got any ideas why it is working in Android, but not iOS?
Hello Soti community , I need to enable the javascript for google chrome and for the moment i cannot find a way to do it via a profile or via script and if I m trying to do that manually directly on a CK65 scanner its showing up that the setting is enforced by your administrator.
Good afternoon. Some of our Android Enterprise devices have started updating to Android 12. Our devices are Samsung Tab A7 Lite. I checked our Enterprise profile which contains our feature control and configurations. I was not able to find an option to Disable OS upgrades. We also have older devices enrolled in Android Plus and the feature control for this profile does have an option to disable OS upgrades. Is there a policy script I could send to our Enterprise Tab A7 lite to disable the upgrade? I am okay if the script expires after a set number of days. I am going to continue reading through the forums to see if I can find a good solution. I am also wondering if there is a script available to disable the new android 12 permissions setting "Remove permissions if app is unused"
Hi all, with new Zebra devices running Android 11, I get this error when the profiles tries to install: The same profiles work on Zebra devices with Android 8 and 10. Thanks. Regards,
Hi All,We've an android app with 2 flavours: AppFlavor1 & AppFlavor2. Both are having same Application Bundle Id : "com.mycompany.newapp"AppFlavor1 distributed using Google PlayStore. AppFlavor2 distributed through SOTI using package & not released to Play Store. For a Customer, Application catalog rule is used to install AppFlavor1 on few devices. On few devices AppFlavor2 was installed. Customer modified this existing Application catalog rule. He removed AppFlavor1 from App Catalog rule. This resulted in uninstalling of AppFlavor1 as well as AppFlavor2 from devices.Uninstalling of AppFlavor2 was not expected here. This has happened because of same application bundle id. Is there a way where SOTI can distinguish between 2 apps so that when application catalog rule changed, it uninstalls app which is installed through PlayStore only. Here in this case, it should uninstall AppFlavor1 & NOT AppFlavor2. Thanks in advance.
Hi, does anyone know a way/script to write into an existing ini file? I tried several things regarding javascript but i'm not familar with javascript, so i don't know where the Problem is. The file is located in the /sdcard/ folder and we are working with 15.5.1 and the latest agent versions.
