Hello! On 1st of October MS is going to enforce Modern Authentication on their O365. Does anybody know what impact this change will have for already installed.... 1) GMail clients 2) Apple Mail clients Is it neccessary to re-install the mail profiles on the devices (hopefully not)?
Hello, I would like to know how would you prevent users from deleting SOTI profiles in Apple devices? This is in an effort to avoid device unenrollment. Kind regards, Kevin O.
Can we perform OS update and Security patch update for Android devices (Below OS version12) via SOTI console, version 14.2.2.1170 ? -> If, Yes please help us with valid links or instructions to do so -> If, No please provide us the reason why. -> Also, will this be an option post upgrading the console to version 15.x or not
Hello all, we have imported configurations to the device on a number of Zebra TC52x using the Velocity file Assistant app (The app will sync/copy all the velocity configuration files from /sdcard/com.wavelink.velocity folder to /sdcard/Android/data/com.wavelink.velocity/files folder after starting velocity). Unfortunately, due to a change in the profile name, we are now seeing two profiles. Due to Android 11, we cannot simply delete the files via the file browser. In the Ivanti community we came across the following article:https://forums.ivanti.com/s/article/Android-11-Non-Android-enterprise-Method-to-deploy-files-from-MDM-using-Velocity-File-assistant-app?language=en_US Here it is shown that with the following intent the files/profiles can be deleted: Intent intent = new Intent(Intent.ACTION_VIEW); intent.setComponent(ComponentName.unflattenFromString("com.wavelink.velocityfileassistant/.FileUpdate")); intent.putExtra("com.wavelink.velocityfileassistant.extra.CLEAN", true); try { startActivity(intent); } catch (ActivityNotFoundException e) { // Velocity File Assistant was not found Unfortunately, this does not seem to be the correct syntax for MobiControl. Do any of you have an idea how the intent has to look exactly so that we can delete the profiles? We would be very grateful for any help! Kind Regards Keno
Hi. So what's the purpose of assigning a Deactivation Date to an Enrollment Policy? I am testing it and it did deactivate as expected but the device still functions properly. Can someone provide a quick usecase for using this feature? Thanks for your time.
Hi, We have some Unitech HT730 mobile android barcode scanners, they are running Android 10, and are registered as Android Enterprise. We are running a native lockdown but for some reason in lockdown mode the barcose scanner system service doesn't start, we have to go into admin mode and then start it, then back into user mode. We could not run the scanner service directly as its not designed to be run directly. Our supplier has supplied an app called Unitech USS launcher, which if run in admin mode works fine and starts the scanner service, but if run using the package id in lockdown mode does nothing. I have confirmed we are using the correct package ID as if I run a script containing start com.unitech.usslauncher it opens, but if in lockdown mode it doesn't. What am I missing please?
I'm not sure, but I feel like I'm missing something here, and maybe it's just due to the inconsistency of documentation surrounding WNS (even Microsoft is still showing steps for the old Developer portal.) I made a developer account for our generic Live account (because MS would not let me use my org account,) and added the Live account to our org's AD, and granted the permissions described in the Partner Center, to allow access. I then worked with our internal developers to get a dummy MSIX to upload to the MS Store. I've gotten the MSIX through Submission, and have a PSID and PFN. I then logged into a global admin for the org's AD, and setup a secret for the dummy MSIX under App Registrations. I copy/pasted the PSID, PFN, and secret into the MobiControl Global Settings fields for WNS, but every time I click Save, I get an error "Failed to update the Windows Notification Service configuration because the service failed to obtain a token." Did I miss a step, or is there more to this that hasn't been documented yet? I'd just like to get WNS working so that we can fully utilize MobiControl on Windows 10+. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Hi! Google has some limitations when creating "too many" Google accounts from the same IP/location.You need to verify your identity via a phone number. I have also sent a case to Google about this but do anyone know if there are some kind of workaround? The reason for creating multiple Google accounts is that we want to divide the Managed Google Play and not use the same account for all solutions/customers. We are also managing it all and we don't want the customer to be able to do anything in regards of this. We have even tried using the function to use our own e-mail address rather than creating a Gmail one but still even after verifying the e-mail we need to have a valid phone number... Are there any discussions going on from SOTI about this? Maybe the possibility of creating a Google account via a request from MobiControl? Which will bypass these checks?
Is it possible to add widgets to the home screen on Android 11 while still in lockdown?
I've run across this a few time now, I'll get a new PC for a user and boot it up to the OOBE, plug in a USB with our provisioning PPKG, then install the PPKG. Windows shows the provisioning package install successfully, and MobiControl shows it connecting successfully, too. However, once I hand the computer over to let the user run through the OOBE setup, MobiControl then shows the Compliance Status as Non-Compliant/Unenrolled. I've confirmed the provisioning package is installed on the computers, as it is Listed under Settings>Accounts>Access Work or School as installed. I tried from there to go into Info and manually Sync, but I didn't have the option. So far, I've only been able to fix this by removing the provisioning package and then reinstalling it from within the user's session. Is there a method I may be unaware of that I can use to get MobiControl to view the computer as enrolled again?
I use an Zebra MC9300 with Android 11 and activated USB debugging and the mass torgae to get access to the scanner with an USB connection. So fine so good that worked till we changed the battery. Now i have the issue that the mass storage is not available as you can see in the picture below. I also activated the usb debugging with feature control but no option for the mass storage. Do you have any idea?
I have a Samsung tablet configured using Lockdown, and one of the tasks it will need to do is edit a particular photo. I can open this easily enough in "gallery", but this doesn't give me the editing option. I'm trying to set up using Photo Editor instead, but get this error in the device log when I try to open the picture: Error message received from device (Package [com.sec.android.mimage.photoretouching] does not contain default activity) The file will open fine in Phot Editor if you go via My Files, so there must be something missing in the launch:// command - similar to this thread about Honeywell and Bhav's' answer: https://discussions.soti.net/discussions/package-not-found Does anyone have suggestoins about what would need to be added to get Photo Editor to work?
