Hi, I am playing with the dynamic template in hopes of coming up with a solution to resolve an issue we are having with kiosks at the moment. We are actively migrating our devices from one version of our application to a newer release which have different package IDs. It's become very cumbersome to build and maintain 2 different profiles per customer device grouping and swapping them once we know an app has been updated. If the profile swap doesn't happen or if we don't know a customer has migrated apps, they will then have a kiosk with no apps present until someone manually unassigns/assigns the profiles properly. I was hoping to utilize the dynamic HTML template and tweek it where I could add both application package IDs into the lockdown and the template would only display a link to an app if it actually exists on the device. I wasn't sure if anyone had experimented with a similar solution or had any other ideas. Thanks
We have Samsung tablets from AT&T that are running Android 11 UI 3.1. I thought there was supposed to be a setting under Settings -> Connections -> Data Usage -> Mobile Data Only Apps to force an app to only use mobile data. Is there any other way of making an app only use mobile data while it is on a WIFI network?

Hi, I am trying to turn on the tablet screen through a script. I managed to turn off the screen with the "lock" script, but I can't turn on the screen.How can I turn it on through a command? There is the option of accessing remotely, but I would like to do it through a script.I've tried "unlock", but it doesn't work. Thanks in advance.
Hi all together, we are planning to upgrade our MobiControl environment to version 15.5.2 and would like to use the new feature "Conditional Access" for our O365 applications. I am asking myself, what happens with COPE enrolled devices (or BYOD devices) which both contain a work profile and a personal space. After synchronizing the device details to Azure, will a user be allowed to connect to O365 from his personal profile? Does anybody know?
Hello! I have a new Zebra ET40 tablet I am testing at one of my sites. The device is running Android 11 (11-10-31.00-RG-U00-STD-GSE-04) and my Mobicontrol is version 15.4.2. When I remote control to the device it simply shows a black screen with a lock and the time. I cannot see the keypad to enter the pin number. I did discover that if I just click anywhere on the screen, I can type the pin with my keyboard and login that way, however I'm just wondering why I can't see the keypad. We currently have tablets instore that are accessible to both Customers and the Staff. The devices are connected to design machines that are then used by customers, but the staff need access to the settings on the device to connect to the various different machines in store for various demos . For this. we are looking to use the settings manager, however I am looking for a way to put this application behind further security to prevent customers from having access to this. Is there anyway to do this at all or is this not possible through MobiControl?
I'm trying to figure out the best way to prioritize wifi connections on Android 11. Our tablets are connected to a hotspot in a vehicle and would like them to connect to our wifi network whenever they come back to the yard. They do not automatically connect to the wifi because the signal from the hotspot is stronger than the access points. Is there a script to run when it enters a geofence or is there a better way going about this problem?
Hello, Is Mobicontrol compatible with SQL Server Web Edition? Since Mobicontrol supports SQL Server Express, which is a lower version, I would think it is compatible with the Web version of SQL Server as well.
We are installing Soti MobiControl console version 15.2 on a Windows2016 server. The installation crashes while trying to install SQL Server Express 2016. The error logged is "This version of the installer is no longer supported". I have already investigated a little bit about the issue. It looks like the problem is caused by the fact that the bundled version of SQL Server included in the MobiControll installer is the ServicePack2. In fact, I have tried to preventively install the ServicePack3 version and it looks like it works. The incompatibility, most likely, is related to the SP2 version of SQL Srver Express 2016 with one the latest Microsoft security patches. Actually, the Windows Server 2016 I'm using is updated to August2022 bundle.Unfortunately, being a production environment, it's not possible to install any different version than Soti MC 15.2 and, of course, it's not possible to remove any of the patches that could cause the issue. I have already opened a case to SOTI support and we're waiting for a feedback, but I was just wondering if anybody else faced the same issue and how it can be resolved. The easiest way would be to be able to temporarily disable the SQL Server support check at Windows level (by changing a reg key or by using a specific policy?), but any suggestion would be more than welcome and appreciated. We are trying to add a custom app to the home screen and it throws an extremely generic error. We checked the other apps and there isn't a difference from what we can see. We also tried recreating the lockdown screen and it still is throwing the same error. Does anyone else have any ideas?
