Hi to all, we need to install and apk developped internally of my company on a Honeywell device CT30 where the OS Android version is 11. With Soti Mobicontrol 2024 we are able to deploy the app using a policy that contain the upd package of the apk. What we can not able to do is give the specific permission: android.permission.MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE We know the nature of the issue, that is the security policy on Android 11 but we know that there are the possibility to do what we need. Reading this article: SOTI Discussion Forum we tryed to install the OEM-specific plugin but we don't unserstand if this is the correct appoch. Can some one help us?
We need to give users the ability to change the keyboard language from english to Canadian french without them downloading. I can see there is a setting in the managed app config for where the packs are stored. is there a way to download and push the packs?
Hi, in the release notes for MobiControl 2025.1 is mentioned: Use Zebra LifeGuard Without Google PlayThis feature allows administrators to automatically provision the Zebra enrollment app for Zebra LifeGuard as an Enterprise app via App policy without compromising security compliance and avoid interfacing with Google Play services. How does this actually work? I don't find anything more about it, then just this entry. If I choose an Enterprise app it either needs an APK or an URL to download the app?
I get really annoyed when I look at the donut charts (stacked or normal or 3D) in the SOTI MobiControl interface as they look promising but when you look at the data they are misleading.The most basic example is this donut chart that shows the online/offline devices:You can see at a glance that ca. 60% of the devices are Online and 40% are Offline, but in reality that is not the case.In this example, out of 1975 devices, only 119 are offline which is ca. 6% and not 40%When you hover over the offline portion, the data is clearly there: It think that it is really a shame that such a cool diagram gets fed with false information for some reason. Does anybody know if it will be fixed in the near future?
Hello, We would like to automatically send users of mobile phones an email if their device has not been online for a specific amount of time. I thought I could use compliance policies for that. However, I could not find a way to modify the text of the generated email. Is there a way to do so?
Hello,When I try to delete a device group I receive an error that this cannot be done because a policy is still assigned to it. I have checked and there are no policies nor profiles assigned to this group. Is there a way to force the deletion through?
I'm unable to take over Samsung devices in SOTI MobiControl without acceptance from the user.Once the user has accepted my request i'm also unable to do any actions on the device.I'm only able to look. I need to be able to take over any samsung device with full control and without any interference of the user. I tried using several plugins but none are working.

We are working with a custom CA.pem, client certificate (.crt), and private key (.key) that need to be installed on Android devices managed by SOTI MobiControl.We currently install the certificates using a profile via Configuration > Certificate, and this part works. However, when our Android application attempts to access the client certificate (e.g., via KeyChain or during HTTPS request), the system prompt appears asking the user to allow access or select a certificate.Our goal is to avoid any user interaction and access the certificate silently within the app.Questions: 1. Is it possible to install the client certificate in a specific system store or trusted credential store where our app can access it silently? 2. Does SOTI MobiControl support installing certificates as Device Owner in a way that grants system-level access (without prompting the user)? 3. Can we specify the certificate alias during deployment, so the app can reference it directly via KeyStore or other Android APIs? 4. Hi there, I'm working on resetting Enterprise Binding of the devices. The feature which SOTI introduced in v15.1. Source: https://docs.soti.net/soti-mobicontrol/release-notes/ "Improved Reset Account device action to allow administrators to create new or reset existing Managed Google Play accounts on devices without using a factory reset" Issue: Most of the devices got reset with the account while in some of the devices Reset button is completely disabled. I checked MobiControl app there is no pending action also Google Play Services and Play Store are enable.Any idea on how to fix this without reenrolling the device? SOTI Version: 15.5.2.1003
Hello, We would like to set the device inactivity time via mobicontrol, but it only allows us if we wipe data or if we play a media. We only want to set a delay and the device locks like usual. Is there a way to do so ?
Is there a way to prevent location tracking for installed apps in MobiControl without disabling GPS altogether? I am concerned with location tracking by installed apps and how I can prevent it. The customer uses IOS only.
The Existing Images dropdown in LockDown contains too many files not being used and scrolling through them takes forever. Some of these need to be removed. There is nothing in the content library. Where else are these images stored? This is for an android+ work managed device hosted on the soti web console.
Hi, we are using SOTI Surf with Zebra ET45 Tablets in our production environment where we are running a SAP application inside the SOTI Surf. When you Dock the tablet the Website refreshes and terminates the login. Is there any setting related to this? I think it might have something to do with the zoom and that the browser wants to fit the new screen that is connected to the docking station. Love to hear your thoughts best regards Manuel
