Hi all, I just made some routine checks and found that for some packages I lost the "access"!? When I do a "refresh" this is what I get: Also interesting is that a "deleted" user appears in the logs:
Dear Team, i am having around 170 android devices that are enrolled in soti. i want to install apk onto all device without taking remote of each device and giving permission to allow access to app. looking for silent installation at backend without user intervention. want to know is there any script for same.
This issue is similar to https://discussions.soti.net/discussions/zebra-tc21-devices-not-responsive-when-remotely-controlled but the provided solution did not work for me. I reference this link in my text below. I encountered the same issue with my TC26:s recently (essentially the same device as TC21, but with WLAN). The remote screen is black, showing a digital clock and a lock. Sending notify kiosk off did disable the kiosk, but the remote control session did not show this - still black screen. While I did have issues with plugins, the mentioned scripts did not help. At first I was unable to start remote control at all. Web version was only white, legacy version said "Waiting for device" or similar. I had the plugin "RC Virtual Display" and no matter what I did it stayed like this. I had to assign the mentioned plugin to a profile, UNASSIGN IT, and then it worked - now I got "Zebra RC" plugin and remote session started working. However, I now face the black screen issue. To bypass the black screen I have to change the zoom level to Fit Screen, then send the Device Menu action from the RC interface. Now the screen is unlocked and I can view it as expected. Any ideas on how to fix this permanently? Other devices do not have this issue, only my TC26:s. Hi @all, we automatically issue client certificates for our WLAN authentication via SCEP. However, on Samsung's Android Enterprise devices (xCover 5 with Android 11), these certificates are only transferred and not installed. The certificates are only installed when a device password is set. Since the device password is unfortunately not an option, I am looking for a way to install the certificates automatically. Are there any ideas here? Many thanks in advance Translated with www.DeepL.com/Translator (free version)
Hello, Is there any script to force device to work only on 4G and not on 4G VoLTE? Manufacturer: Ascom Model: Ascom Myco 3 Cellular Wi-Fi EU OS-Version: 10 Device Agent-Version: 15.1.1.1031 MobiControl Version: 15.4.2.1020 Thanks
I need to put a link in the SOTI kiosk that makes the device reboot. This is for ET51 tablets that are in a Brodit rack with the ON/OFF button only accessible with a paper clip!I created a legacy script that I named 'softreset'.I added an element to the Lockdown that does "script://softreset" , but it doesn't work.Would you have the right method to do this reboot with a Lockdown icon?
Hello, we are using a software on a Zebra TC72, which needs to be updated everytime the server receives an update. If I am not using SOTI, the APP will tell you that there is a new version available, ask you if you like to update and run the update. If I use SOTI, the App brings up an error, that the update could not be run. I assume, that this has to do with SOTI, not 100% sure. Is there a setting or something, where I can allow the App to update itself. I would like to avoid doing the update every month, if possible. Thanks
Hi, I'm wondering if there is a way with Soti Surf with "Home Screen" activated in a "Catalog configuration" and Kiosk Mode enabled to be able to switch between the configured websites over the "Home button" without losing the "cached" content. I mean to get always the "last status" from the site and not a "new reload /new window". Also App Bottom/Top bar / Menu is hidden.
Hi, We install all devices with afw#mobicontrol in enterprise mode. About month ago we installed 500 devices (Samsung tablets). The agent version was 15.0.1 build 1051, a month later installing devices with agent version is 15.1.1 build 1031 gave me troubles with some of my file rules - link to my discussion. Now when reinstaling one of my test devices I run into another problem with current agent (15.1.2.1075) The installation of my packages is very hard, it gives me a lot errors, for example: Package "SOTI_settings_manager" version 1.0 failed to install. File IO error on device. Check Storage/Permissions. and Error message received from device (Package [net.soti.settingsmanager] does not contain default activity) How to avoid this? Everything was working fine with previous versions of the agent. Any way to enroll devices in Enterprise with controlled SOTI Mobicontrol agent version? I want to use the working (from my point of view) version of the agent (15.1.1_1031 or 15.0.1_1051) for re-enrolling devices. How to achieve this?
Hi all, i searched for long time in this forum but haven't found a similar questions yet. Imagine a root folder (Group) with many subfolders. Each subfolder has a specific profile containing a lockdown and several apps. In case of severe IT-server-problems our customer wants to set easily a "emergency lockdown" launching automatically a single app for all company devices. I tried to assign a profile to the root folder to override all the subfolder profiles. Looking into a device configuration it says "ignored" for the lockdown. Looks like a first come first serve to me. Any idea how to override all devices and set a lockdown screen with a single app launching automatically? Run a Script? Thanks in advance
I just set up an LDAP Connection to out Test environment and added User Groups and Users to the specific group. I even added these groups to a Shared device folder in MobiControl. Everything seems to be fine till i tried to login in a device. When i'm entering my cretentials on the device login screen i'm receiving the Error: AUTHENTICATION FAILED: You are not authorized to access this resource. Please contact your administrator for more information. I'm lost at this moment and hope anyone can help me out!
Hi, I have to create about 500 group in SOTI Mobicontrol. There is a way to add this group on a .csv and import it ? Thanks for your help
Hello @All, as stated in the article below, there are a few more restrictions with Android 11: https://discussions.soti.net/articles/impact-of-android-11-scoped-storage-restrictions-on-android-agent The main one that really hinders our staging process is that you arent able to use mcsetup.ini anymore. Has anyone gotten the agent Version 15.1.2 on Android 11 to accept mcsetup.ini? Any additional manual step i.e. scanning or putting in the enrollment id is "annoying" in the whole staging process. Combining Honeywell Enterprise Provisioner or Zebra MX with mcsetup.ini was a nearly 1 step process to enroll and stage a device for us. Any ideas appreciated.
Hello, we have created a few file sync rules, and they are working quite well, but how can we assure that we are getting an alert if they stop working? I've seen that there is an alert for a successful sync but nothing for the case of a failure. Any suggestions on how to solve that?
Is there a way to trigger 1+ actions or a custom script when a device gets added to a group?
