Im trying to force my Android devices to auto update using the following script set with a scheduled task In the log I get the error Custom log (missing ; before statement (Auto Update OS.js#1)) My Auto Update OS.js is just writeprivateprofstring SystemUpdatePolicy SystemUpdatePolicy 1apply SystemUpdatePolicy If I open send script on a device, select JavaScript and send the same script above I get the same error. If I select legacy I get the notifications. Script was sent to device (writeprivateprofstring SystemUpdatePolicy SystemUpdatePolicy 1 apply SystemUpdatePolicy Feature is not supported (SystemUpdatePolicy) So my question is do I have to set the script to legacy somehow to make it work on a scheduled task? And is it actually supported? I have tried on Android device versions 7 and 8.1 running SOTI agent 14.4.1
Hello, im hoping i can get some help. My mobile fleet users of 50 iphones (not on MDM) are about to be rolled out with Samsung phones on SOTI. I wanted to know is there an easy way to get their contacts from the iphone across to the new samsung device? either via an app, or another way? These users have several hundred customer contacts on the iphones and dont want to have to manually add them to the samsung device. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
Aloha is there any way to re-connect a device to the deployment server using scripts? I tried connect, and connect -f and had no success. Is there something i need to do on the device to execute this scripts? Thank you in advance.
We have a package to complete a Windows Modern enrolment using Certificates. The package work 100% on at least two computers in two locations. When we run it on a new Dell laptop the process appears to run successfully but when you look under the Account for the user it shows that error message not the MDM. Any ideas? Andy
I was investigating why it is not possible to locate our Zebra MC33 devices and I opened the location settings on the device when the following message appears: As soon as I click agree on this message I'm able to locate the devices with the MobiControl console. It seems that it is not possible to disagree to this (the message just reappears) and the message must be accepted each time the device is started or the location is switched on. Does someone know if and how it's possible to permanently agree to this consent so that we can locate our devices?
Hi I have some Application Catalog rules for our devices. But I'm having this strange error. Our Samsung tablets can see other devices application catalogs, but not its own. The Mobicontrol app catalog works fine and all the apps are installed due to mandatory installation. Its the "M3M4 Tek Tablets Alle" that should be showing up
Is it possible to find out which devices have not yet installed a newly created or updated profile?
Hi I have an issue, as i am testing a new device on our SOTI Mobicontrol platform. The app, the deployment of packages and all is good, but when the app comes up asking for battery optimizations, the app just vanished and places itself in the background and then you would need to click the app again, so that it comes up asking for battery optimizations. it's like you can just see the text box for 1-2sec with "disallow" and "allow" battery optimizations?? the device is in lockdown-mode in Android plus (classic). This is the log from the device: 2020-12-08 13:43:05.681|main|D|AP|[net.soti.mobicontrol.lockdown.kiosk.v.b:62] Launch a package: my.app.something.production activity: | 2020-12-08 13:43:05.879|single-core-scheduled|D|AP|[BlacklistChecker][isBlocked] component: ComponentInfo{my.app.something.production/my.app.something.LoginActivity} is allowed settings component: true| this is me allowing the permissions on the device (i guess) 2020-12-08 13:43:07.220|single-core-scheduled|D|AP|[BlacklistChecker][isBlocked] component: ComponentInfo{com.android.settings/com.android.settings.fuelgauge.RequestIgnoreBatteryOptimizations} is allowed settings component: false| This part is the optimization 2020-12-08 13:43:07.221|single-core-scheduled|D|AP|[PollActivitiesTask][processTask] blocked: ComponentInfo{com.android.settings/com.android.settings.fuelgauge.RequestIgnoreBatteryOptimizations}| Anyone know what [BlacklistChecker] is on agent ? is there a wildcard i can use in app run control maybe? Can this be fixed by using sendintent? as its the app asking Ignore Battery Optimization.
The New Huawei devices get the instance of the Google Mobile Services , get Huawei Mobile Services, someone knows about this compatibility with SOTI ?
Hello, In Android 10 devices enrolled as Work Manage Device the location is only availabe when the Mobicontrol app is in foreground. In the location settings it is not possible to change this configuration. Do you have any idea on how to have Mobicontrol allowed all the time for location sevices?
Hi, We have upgraded a few of our CK65 devices to v.9 from v8.1. Afterwards we got a weird issue - it's no longer possible to scroll up/down on the AX website. I have tried with different browsers - same thing. So I guess it something between v9 and the AX IIS config. Any ideas? Worst case, any input to how we downgrade the firmware back to 8.1? BrThomas
