I wanted to see if there was a way to disable the drag refresh option for SOTI surf. We are currently using the browser as this is easy to configure site restrictions but the functionality has been an issue for some folks and we wanted to look into any other means of customization. Additionally is there any plans on other color options?
We have multiple Android devices, in KIOSK mode, each which we can enable/disable from the MobiControl panel using the _adminmode on/off This requires that the android device have access to the internet. My question then goes on, would it be possible that, through our on android app, that we could enable/disable the KIOSK mode? Lets say we have a simple app with Admin On/Off, using the slider, it would invoke the MobiControl app, telling it to enable or disable KIOSK mode, just as the MobiControl site, sending scripts to the device. Thanks in advance.
Hello, as it says in the description I have issues connecting iOS devices and WindowsMobile devices at the same time to the deployment server. Specifications: MobiControl Version: 14.4.4.1045 (on-premise) iOS Version: 13.4.1 Devices: iPhone Xr WindowsMobile Version: 5.0 / 6.5 Devices: MC9090 / MC9190 Root Certificate: SHA256 (MobiControl Root CA) I already figured out that the devices running WindowsMobile were only able to connect to the deployment server, when generating a SHA-1 MobiControl Root CA and binding it on "Deployment Server" and "MobiControl Client Certificate Root CA". Unfortunately the devices running iOS cannot connect to the deployment server on this conditions. Does someone have any suggestions connecting both iOS and WindowsMobile devices. I can provide more Information if needed.
After our Android 9 devices have updated to Android 10 they no longer can connect to the mobicontrol server. The user receive a SSL Handshake failed error message. I have tried updating the self-signed root certificate from SHA-1 to SHA-256 but they still will not connect. Is there any way to resolve this? Thanks.
Before I describe the issue I'm seeing, I'll mention that this doesn't feel like a problem within Soti but instead a problem with the information being returned to the iPad from Apple's Device Enrolment Program. I am attempting to use Apple Configurator 2 to enrol an iPad into our self-hosted Soti instance via the Device Enrolment Program. I was able to configure this correctly earlier this year but am now seeing a problem when the device attempts to be managed by the MDM. Our server configuration is hosted in our data center and looks like: one management server (MS) that is internal access only two deployment servers (DS1, DS2) that are public-facing; DS1 and DS2 are placeholders for the real FQDNs I've completed the configuration in MS: set up APNS set up Apple Device Enrolment Program set up Add Devices rule for iOS devices I've completed the configuration in Apple Configurator 2: Organization Server using URL of https://DS1 for URL trust certificate automatically set up for MobiControl Root CA manually added certificates for DigiCert Global Root G2 and GeoTrust TLS RSA CA C1 When I prepare the device, I use the following values: prepare with Manual Configuration Add to Device Enrollment Program Supervise devices (checked and greyed out) Allow devices to pair with other computers Enable Shared iPad the server that I configured earlier the organization that I configured earlier the defaults for Setup Assistant (MDM will control later) a valid WiFi profile There is no problem with the preparation of the device. It appears in Apple Business Manager and I can assign it to our Soti server. In Soti, I can sync the DEP devices and the device is properly assigned to my Add Devices rule. However, I am running into a problem when I complete setup on the devices. After sending a WiFi profile to the device, I can select language and country and the device then correctly shows the Remote Management screen. When I proceed with the enrolment, I see an error on the device indicating that the action was 'cancelled'. When I look in Console to see activity on the device, I see two things that look incorrect: the SSL negotiation fails with the message "Handle challenge, trust evaluation failed: “DigiCert Global Root G2” certificate is not trusted" the logged URL points to DS2 instead of DS1 from my server profile. the URL looks like https://DS2/mc/dep/none/enroll I had recently set up a server in Apple Configurator 2 for DS2 and did not include the trust certificates in its configuration. This makes me wonder if something in the Apple infrastructure is caching the incorrect information and sending it to the device during its setup. Of interest, I have set up a trial account with SimpleMDM and have been able to successfully enrol the device there. I have also done the following to try to correct this problem: removed all profiles and uninstalled/reinstalled Apple Configurator 2 removed the MDM server from Apple Business Manager and recreated it updated the Apple Device Enrolment Program information in Soti deleted and created a new Add Devices rule in Soti attempted to enrol a second device used the complete enrolment URL in the server configuration - e.g. https://DS1/Enrol/223 Any ideas about why my Soti enrolment is failing?
Hello, As the NTLMv1 protocol is no longer used, I would like to know which authentication protocol is used for the LDAP connection on MobiControl 14.4.7.1053 ? Thank you in advance Best regards,
https://share.getcloudapp.com/2NuXvkZD Is there a support for Okta federated accounts with iOS BYOD (user enrollment) add device rules? It appears a single option with MS Azure directory.
Which SKU should we use to purchase SOTI Prof Services to integrate SOTI MobiControl with Okta?
Are there any Agents available for Vocollect voice units? We have all our RFs from multiple vendors loaded in SOTI, and would like to get our A730 voice devices visible in SOTI as well to have a single source of information of all our client hardware out on the warehouse floor. I have asked Honeywell about this a few times but have never received a response. If a device-specific Agent does not exist, is there a generic Windows CE 7 Agent that can be installed on these units? Our server is currently version 13.4.0.4339, but I believe discussions have started on planning our upgrade to version 14.
Hi, i try to install the outlook app for iOS with an initial konfiguration so that the user only need to enter the password to use the app. i'm using the "configuration command" field and the following XML. <dict><key>com.Microsoft.Outlook.EmailProfile.EmailAccountName</key><string>company Exchange</string><key>com.Microsoft.Outlook.EmailProfile.Email</key><string>%ENROLLEDUSER_EMAIL%</string><key>com.Microsoft.Outlook.EmailProfile.EmailUPN</key><string>%ENROLLEDUSER_USERNAME%</string><key>com.Microsoft.Outlook.EmailProfile.ServerHostName</key><string>mail.company.com</string></dict> but i don't work...can anybody help with this?
I have a Zebra TC57 running in lockdown mode and have disabled the status bar pulldown but now when trying to connect to a wifi network that uses a captive portal for authentication there appears to be no way to access the view/dialog to process the portal login. I would prefer to not have the users have access to the status bar if possible, but so far that is the only way I have been able to get this to work. Ideally the captive portal login would just pop up when detected like it normally would (like when connecting to WiFi at a hotel or restaurant) but it seems like something in the way lockdown works prevents that even with the status bar enabled. With the status bar enabled you have to see that the wifi connection has a small X on it and pull down the status bar to see the system alert, tap on it, and then the captive portal pop up appears for you to finish the authentication. Has anyone seen this before and/or is there a solution that I am missing to make this work?
I am using the Settings Manager and trying to limit which SSIDs these devices connect to, The issue i am having is that when we forget the SSID from within Settings Manager it does not actually forget the SSID... Agent Version: 14.1.8.1111 Using the latest Settings Manager Version.
Hello, I am running into this error while trying to upgrade an existing package on our Zebra TC56 devices. I did read some other posts and I can verify that we are upgrading an existing package with a newer apk, as opposed to adding a different package. I incremented the version number within the package builder as well. I haven't ran into this issue with any other packages before, and the apk launches just fine if I install it manually. The problem then is that the permissions are reset and there are two copies of the same program. Ideally I want to preserve our permissions, which should work if I can upgrade the same package, but it keeps erroring out. Any suggestions would be welcome. Thanks!
I want to lockdown and not show the status bar, but I also want to show the wifi signal/connection, battery, etc settings gained by SOTI from Zebra. If I have Zebra Android Enterprise devices is this possible? Sorry should have been more specific. They didn't want the bar. Was trying to add to the actual lock-down HTML. Sorry I was not more specific. Thanks
