Hi Team, First time poster here, although I've been floating around the forums benefiting from the shared wisdom posted here for the last few months. I've run into a dead end with this particular issue, and i'm hoping i can get some advice on how to proceed. We've run into an issue recently that seems to only affect Android 9 devices on the Android Enterprise configuration. The lock screen (when you first unlock the phone before swiping to unlock, or entering a PIN etc) doesn't seem to display notifications of any kind We've noticed that when the device is in lockdown mode, we can't see any notifications at all on the lock screen, in fact in order to see the notifications, we need to enter administrator mode, or send the "lockdown off" script via MobiControl. Some of our sites rely on system-generated messages sent to mobiles to give the staff instructions on where to check, and which routes to take etc. When i take a look into the settings of the device, i can see that under the lock screen portion, the Notifications button is set to disabled, and is greyed out i.e. cannot be adjusted. Again, as this only affects Android 9 devices on Android Enterprise, i'm baffled at what i can do to resolve this. ! Some points on our configuration ! #: Lockdown config: Activity Suppression enabled. Disable Status Bar Expansion Enabled. Using Device Control. #: Feature Control: Redact Notifications is not ticked. Disable all notifications is not ticked. Disable all system UI is ticked, although this didn't seem to have any effect on this problem either way. #: We use the MobiControl Stage Programmer app with NFC for smartphones, and the QR Code for tablets. #: Android Plus covers 80% of our fleet, with 20% of Enterprise devices distributed in the last 3 months. #: I've configured the devices to land in a blank folder with no payloads, and once they are enrolled and ready, i'll manually drag the device into a folder with a profile targeted to said folder, which will push the profile/payloads. #: We use the J5 Pro (Android 8.1), Galaxy A20 (9.0) and the Galaxy Tab a 2017 (8.1). If the guard misses a message, this can be a massive compliance issue, so unless the guard keeps their device open on the SMS app, there's a good chance they'll miss it. Has anyone else run into this issue before? Any assistance of advice provided would be sincerely appreciated. Thanking you in advance, Joell
Hello! I am trying to place configuration XML to persistent storage of our devices. Created a package, assigned it to profile. Package contains XML file and pre install script copy "\DataCollectionService.xml" "\Storage\IPSM\honeywell\persist\" I can not understand what need i use as a source path. Can anyone help with this issue?
We have just recently upgraded MobiControl from 14.2 to 14.4. After the upgrade, some users reported that were getting below error when trying to remote to devices. Anyone knows what could be the issue?
Hello, can anyone confirm this issue with their environment? When selecting Devices in the dashboard using shift or control, the selection is getting reset / lost when devices in the specific group did a check-in etc. Is this supposed to happen, so you dont miss "crucial" information? On my point of view this is just plain annoying when you try to manual select some devices to do a check-in etc. or run a script. Version: 14.43
Hello, I see a strange behavior on a SkorpioX4 with WEV7.0. I have a profile which copies a couple of files to the device and initiates a lockdown for a application I copy with the profile. On windows CE everything works as expected. On WEC the lockdown starts immediately but the files are not copied to the device (installation pending) and the device freezes. If I split the profile into one copying the files to the device and one making the lockdown it works if I enable the second profile later manually. So it looks like a timing issue here. I was wondering if a filter for the lockdown profile might help but I cannot find the syntax for the filter installed applications. I tried "\myfolder\myapp.exe" (were my app is located) but it seems that this does not work - the profile is not installed on the device. Any ideas ? Thanks Christian
Hello, I am trying to upgrade an app on multiple devices. The devices I am using are Honeywell CN80s running Android 8.1.0. I need to know how to purchase in app purchases. Every time I try to upgrade the app I get an error saying "An error occurred while purchasing. Unable to process purchase. Please, check your internet connection and try again later." The internet is fine on the handheld. Any help would be much appreciated! Thank you,

Hi, We are going to change to a new corporate standard Wifi for all mobile devices. I have been able to create a new profile for the new Wifi network (Add profile -> add -> connectivity-> Wifi) But when i assign this profile to a device group, it only adds the new Wifi network to the scanners (and not connect to them). So my question is, how can i manage the scanners to also connect to the new Wifi? And also if possible, forget the old Wifi. Hi,Using a device enrolled as Android Enterprise; When enrolling the device tries to get a Google Account but the kiosk is locking the device down before the device completes getting a Google Account.This means that when in the Kiosk there is a message at the top of the screen saying "user action pending" and I can't use the Application Catalog. Am I doing something wrong?
Hi. In our company we have mobile phones enrolled as Managed Devices.We want to make backup copies of the devices. For this process, we use Smart Switch. But it is not possible, Smart Switch indicates that the device does not accept the file transfer.Through the windows file explorer I can, and in the control of features, I have the USB transfer options enabled.Anyone use any program to make a copy of Device to PC?
Currently running MobiControl 14.3.4.1087. In previous versions of MobiControl my organization was able to set the max timeout allowed for the devices as a part of our profile configuration. I am trying to configure a new profile and I cannot seem to find this setting. Does anyone else have this issue or know the solution?
Hello, I've been looking around the forums for a solution but haven't really found anything that describes what I want to do despite the many questions about the device naming macros. The main thing I want to do is update the %AUTONUM% macro to start at a given number. Other things could maybe be that I want the %SERIALNUM% to only show the last 4 characters/digits of the serial number or something. We were told that the macros could be customized somehow but I can't find any info on how to do it or what the limits are or anything. I know the AUTONUM starting at a specific number is the main one we want to do. If it is possible to customer these macros, I would appreciate any info or any pointers to find that info. hello, i have update our mobi control installation today to version 14.4.4... since i have updatet the console it's not possible to change the filter criteria on nearly all profiles. when i click to filter criteria the console is still loading and loading and loading but nothing happens. any idea ? thx mark

I’m trying to create a file sync rule, with purpose to send out files to android devices. On an earlier Soti Mobicontrol instance, in the add file sync rule wizard a "browse" option for adding files is available I do not see that now When going to “Servers” > “Global setting” on the earlier instance I have “File System Manager”. That open “File Manager” I do not see this now How do I fix this? For seeing where stuff get placed, I’ve added a file sync rule that fetched file from device, it got placed at C:\Windows\System32\%ROOT% I prefer that I can handle file sync rules from the web console. Any hints?
