Hi all. Having an issue when Mobicontrol first loads the lockdown screen on our devices (TC70 and MC9290). The screen flashes 3-4 times, kind of seems like its pushing down something in the background. Even if a user opens up an app as soon as Mobi loads up, while they are in the app, it pushes the users back to the lockdown screen. This causes a major issue when users are signing into web based apps as it makes them re-sign into whatever they were using everytime. Any thoughts? Thanks!
Hi all. We are running varios Android version on Zebra MC9290 and TC70. We keep getting a pop up on the bottom of the lockdown screen saying, "Server Policies restrict use of Wi-Fi profiles not meeting required security level." Also, this pop up shows about 3-4 times. If a user is in an app, it kicks them back to the lockdown screen evertime the pop up shows up. Any ideas on what could be causing this or how to fix this?
This was on a (multiple) Zebra WT6000 non-GMS running the latest of Lollipop/MX. Right after enrollment into 14.1, my device would startup the MobiControl Agent app on the device and then the app would close, showing "MobiControl has stopped". I've been getting this consistently on all of my WT6000s. Sometimes relaunching the Agent will work but I had one instance where the device showed the agent and the stage app still installed and I had to uninstall the agent and re-enroll the device using stage. Anyone see this before? Upgraded Agent is 13.5.0 Build 1327 Thanks, Ben
Is there a way to schedule a reboot for android devices on a nightly basis? I'm not seeing any way to run a script at a scheduled time nor script commands to add a scheduled tasks for Android.
I'm using a Zebra TC75x device. I created an mxconfig file using the Stage Now app (sets the screen timeout setting) and exported the xml file for MDM. I took the xml file and created a package with MCStudio. The file is placed in /sdcard/Download/ and the package has a post-install script that runs the command "mxconfig /sdcard/Download/<filename>.xml. I put the package in a profile and assigned the profile to the device. After doing so, I check the logs for the device and see that the package and profile both log as installed. However, I also see an error log that says "Custom log (Mxconfig -/storage/emulated/0/\Download\<filename>.xml was not found.)". Now, the settings that were part of the xml file were applied successfully (screen timeout and lock screen). So my question is why does it show the error log even though the settings were applied successfully?
Hi, I am looking for documentation on using the application configuration schema to configure applications on android. As I understand it, this can be used to query the available configuration settings on a given application in the play store. It can then be used to push those settings along with an apk install. Is there documentation available regarding the requirements to make this happen and walk me through an example of this? Thanks, Shawn
Hi, I have an Android tablet that is in a continuous reboot cycle. Every time I power on the tablet, it will boot up normally until it starts to launch MobiControl, at which point the tablet restarts and then gets stuck in that cycle. I think this tablet was connected to a dev Mobi instance that is no longer online when I was testing an upgrade process. How can I interrupt this process as we have a tablet that is rendered useless at this point. Thanks

Hello, We have an costumer that is using an Android device, and the application has an configuration file which needs to be updated with the device name in SOTI. How can we solve this issue?
Hi, I'll explain the context which tells why this would be much appreciated. We use relay ftp servers on multiple shops (one for each shop) that receive app updates. These updates are to be downloaded to the devices and then installed. Each shop has its own IP subnet, but the last ip octet is always the same. The local FTP server address is known be the device in an INI file from one of the apps. The goal is to script a ftp get using the value of the IP address contained in the INI file as a variable so that only one script is needed instead of... many, one per shop. Problem is : the "set" script command is not working on Android so I couldn't find a way to do it yet. The %ip% of the device is working, but I couldn't find a way to extract the string and modify it. Everything needs variables. If anyone has an idea, would be very much appreciated.
Hi, I'm attempting to come up with a solution to update a mass amount of devices to change the screen timeout setting from 30 seconds to the OS max of 10 minutes (wish I could disable completely). I monitored setting the 10 minute setting and came up with the log and then script below. Log: Custom log (URI:content://settings/system SETTING:screen_off_timeout VALUE:600000) Script sent to device:writesecuresetting –sys screen_off_timeout 600000 There were no changes after the script was sent. I waited a few minutes / rebooted the tablet but no results. Is the command I sent via the script possibly not supported on our devices? Device: Samsung Tab E 8.0 (Verizon) Model: SM-T378V OS: 7.1.1 Thanks in advance for any help on this issue.

Hi, I need to know if there's a way to change the default notification sound on Zebra Android devices. I didn't find anything in MX framework documentation. Thanks.
