I have a rule that sends me an email when a device goes over 2GB of data usage in a given billing cycle. In the message there are a few variables that can be added (Alert, Source, Locate, Date, Time, and Time Zone). My questions is, can we use other unique device information in the message? I have a custom attribute called "Route Number" that I would like to reference in the message to easily recognize who went over the threshold.
Hi, I wonder if there any plans to port Package Studio to Mac or Linux ? All our development is performed on Mac and Linux workstations. So far I was not able to run it using wine (probably, parallels would do the trick, but it's for Mac only).
Hello Following reinstallation of Soti mobicontrol, the Adminstrator login with old password does not work Please assistannce to reset this password
Hi, When youre gonna update the MobiControl agent (generic) to the Google Play -store? The version there is a bit too old..
Hello, My terminal Omnii XT15 Windows CE 6.0 was connected to my soti mobicontrol server but this XT15 failed, it has been sent to maintenance and now it's back with a new motherboard. I tried to install Soti mobicontrol agent as it was before the reparation but unfortunatly the communication beetween the terminal and soti server was not ok (the terminal was still present in the soti console but not "on"). So i deleted the terminal registred in Soti (i also deleted the certificat), removed the agent from the terminal, created a new deployment agent, installed it on the terminal but still no communication beetween terminal and soti server. I checked the "Deploymenet server" logs, and it seems there are error regarding a certificat : 2018-07-27 13:56:29,027 (0x00001f7c) [INFO] CWinLogFile::WriteAllLog() New connection entry, index=19, name=*, host=172.18.203.32, sock=3744, port=49421 2018-07-27 13:56:29,167 (0x00001e0c) [WARN] CWinLogFile::WriteAllLog() SSL: Error 8009030E querying remote certificate 2018-07-27 13:56:29,168 (0x00001e0c) [INFO] CWinLogFile::WriteAllLog() SSL: Connection info: Protocol=00000040, Exch=0000A400 (1024), Hash=00008004, Cipher=00006603 (168) 2018-07-27 13:56:29,445 (0x00001e0c) [ERROR] CWinLogFile::WriteAllLog() ConnThread: index=19 (): 0 byte received, socket closed anyone to help me to properly register the terminal please ? Thanks in advance
If BOTH MobiControl servers and devices are all restricted to a CLOSED Wifi-only corporate network, and only the MobiControl server can have firewall exception(s) added for very limited access to support servers, then what firewall exceptions should be added to allow Bitdefender Antivirus latest definition update file be REGULARLY updated (as configured in the Antivirus payload in a profile) to the targeted devices via MobiControl deployment server?
I'm trying to install 2 OS updates on my Zebra TC51 devices running Android 6.0.1 I used StageNow to get the xml file to accomplish that task. On some of my devices I get the following error when trying to execute the mxconfig command on the device after the package got downloaded: 2018-07-25 16:42:27.836|pool-1-thread-1|D|AP|[LegacyScriptExecutor][execute]script command: mxconfig - begin|2018-07-25 16:42:27.836|pool-1-thread-1|D|AP|[ZebraXmlStageCommand][execute] xmlPath: /sdcard/TC51_OS_Update_MX6.3.xml|2018-07-25 16:42:27.839|pool-1-thread-1|D|AP|[ZebraXmlStageCommand][execute] (/sdcard/TC51_OS_Update_MX6.3.xml) Response: <wap-provisioningdoc><characteristic-error type="Permission Error" desc="MxFrameworkService: [net.soti.mobicontrol.motorola.shared:10130] is NOT allowed to access MX Framework!"></characteristic-error></wap-provisioningdoc>|2018-07-25 16:42:27.839|pool-1-thread-1|D|AP|[ZebraXmlStageCommand][execute] (/sdcard/TC51_OS_Update_MX6.3.xml) Process xml successful|2018-07-25 16:42:27.839|pool-1-thread-1|D|AP|[LegacyScriptExecutor][execute]script command: mxconfig [/sdcard/TC51_OS_Update_MX6.3.xml], result: ScriptResult{description='OK', resultType=OK} The installation of the package gets reportet as successful back to the MobiControl server but the OS update never took place. Sometimes a restart of the device fixes this permission error. Does anybody know where I need to change permission settings or what could cause this error? Thank you! Regards, Michael
Hi, My Setup is MobiControlCloud 1.4.1.5.1284, SOTI upgraded it today. Tablet is a Samsung Tab A 10.1 with a pen (2016) model # SM-P580 Running Android v7.0 Google Domain is Binded to MobiControlCloud and I see it in both sides as being connected. Setup COBO (Company Owned, Business Only) I would like to enroll Company owned Tablet Android Enterprise with afw#mobicontrol and Device Reset, to push to the tablet a single user Manage Google Account that is binded to the the company's domain, and the user cannot add another personal account. I used both device enrollments rules setups. I can use a Manage Google Play Account that only pushes the apps, and if I disable the Google Account Creation from feature control then the user can't add any account to it, and if I enable it then I can add anything. The Manage Google Account with the binded domain can add anything to it as well within the tablet like above but without apps being pushed. Also, with a loophole that I found by backing out the sign-in screen I can add any Google Account. I would like to restrict it in a way that I can only push the user's Managed Google Account to a specific tablet. Basically I want to push the accounts so they may use the Google Apps like Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, and Slides. The problem is I don't have a local LDAP server that is broadcasting the AD to the internet, and I was wondering if there any other way to manage this via Azure AD or idp from Google SAML app, or anything? I'm missing that feature because of LDAP so I don't find a way to assign the Google Accounts to a tablet in MobiControlCloud Security. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks. -Kenneth
In R14 is there a means to report on not only the rights granted or denied to specific users but also what groups/devices a user is assigned to? Scenario:
For Android plus devices there is a file encryption policy you can setup to force the user to encrypt an SD card on their phone. I want to be able to do this in Android enterprise as well but don't see this option available. Is it not possible to do with enterprise?
We have created a lockdown profile in the devices, but in some cases we deactivate it through scripts when we give remote support. Reason why we need to know through a query or report, how can I identify devices that have left the lockdown mode or are disabled at this time.
Is there a way in SOTI Surf to show a downloaded file (PDF) right after downloading it, without the use of menu-bar? Under SOTI surf privacy options I can see the option to disable downloading or sharing files, but not immediately opening them after download. Otherwise I'll send a feature request.
I have a data collection rule and telecom expense management setup and it is working on most phones, but I have noticed that on a couple of phones that it had been working on initially are no longer reporting this data. On most phones, when they check-in, in the logs it shows a list of items of Data collected, but the phone that is no longer reporting this data only shows that it has connected/checked-in, and the biggest issue is that it is also not reporting the cellular data usage anymore. It otherwise works fine on most devices, it is just one or two that it was working on and then quit. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this issue and how to go about resolving it. Thanks, Timothy
Simple request, is there a way to restrict access to apps via their bundle identifier? I could swear I used this before, but it may have been in a different MDM...
The notify script command for android has the following in it's online help section: '...Added in v9 to support re-enrolling a device on another MobiControl system.' But there is no example of how to use notify for re-enrolling. How do you use it for that?
