Our IT is looking into migrating the WiFi we use our mobile devices to a cluster SSID, in which the devices will connect to a specific SSID base on MAC address rule filter. We are having issue to enroll devices, with the QRcode method using the cluster network; the device is never able to connect to WiFi. My assumption is that this happens because the A11+ devices have MAC randomizer as default. Has anyone faced similar issue, or has a similar network setup? Is there a way to disable MAC randomizer without start regular Android setup? We are using Zebra TC77s devices and are on Mobicontrol 2024.0.1.1020 (on premises).
Hi all, I'm currently using the GoogleMobiControl-2024.1.1.1125 agent from MobiControl Device Agent Downloads | SOTI Docs to enroll our Zebra devices. My question ist, how to update via webUI? When I press Update Agent, nothing happens.Under global settings I see a complete different agent version: Zebra => Device Agents => Version 15.2.0.1025.To update the agent via profile is not a problem but I'd like to use the sheduled update function from the webUI. thanks in advance

HelloI have a PTT app called Synch, and I need to change optimization to "do not optimize" as shown below on the link. Configure Battery Optimization in Android (zebra.com) How do I do this with Mobicontrol using a script, package, something?
Is there a way to include the OKTA Verify APK like any other Android application and add it to the lockdown menu? because some of our application must connect using the OKTA.
HI All We are looking to stage/enroll a few thousand devices and we don't want to load all the applications etc at the staging site. Instead, rather have a button on the lockscreen that triggers a move by the user, to the live/infield folder where it will adopt the policies it needs and download the applications etc. Has anyone done this before? Is it possible? Your assistance will be much appreciated.
When an Android device upgrades itself to a version it may erase special access rights to MobiControl Agent, such as ACCESS ANY File. Prior to massive deployment, we have tested wich devices have upgrade and lost permissions. In order to test if permissions are grant or not in Android devices we have a package that includes an apk, 2 txt file and a post install script. The apk requests EXTERNAL_ACESS_MANAGEMENT and we do nothing with it. The only reason of its presence is to identify if MC Agent is able to install and grant such permission. After the confirmation it is installed, the post install script uninstall it. If installation has failed, the script stops on this point and the log on scripts helps to identify it. The 2 txt files is to verify if we are able to copy/replace one by another, working as a flag if the MC Agent has rights to delete or overwrite files content. One file has 9 bytes and other 4 bytes. We know it has worked if both stay with 9 bytes. By the list of installation failed we are able to start a remote session to grant the proper rights. This was so, up to Android 14. Android 14 denies the delete, copy/replace action and we could not identify which permission is missing for it. The Log from script writes the file has been deleted and the other one copied, but the scripts hangs as failed, even after writes the log of installation success at the end. By the way, the file sync rules are able to replace the content of the files, but legacy script copy command may not. Below you see the package and its post install script. ;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;; ; ; Post-Install Script File ; Date Created: quarta-feira, 17 de abril de 2024 ; ;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;; log -i "ANDROID ANDROID ScanMobAUth2 installed" ;Remove File testeScan2.txt ;It fails here, because the original file is still there del /sdcard/Download/testeScan2.txt log -i "Succes on erase testeScan2.txt " ;It is weird that the log above is registered, even after del command been failed copy /sdcard/Download/versao123.txt /sdcard/Download/testeScan2.txt ;It does not copy and is expected to happen so, when the target already exists with same name and different content log -i "Succes on copy file testeScan2.txt by versao123" ;As before, the log above should not be executed, but is ;uninstall the package uninstall br.com.nobredelatorre.scanmobauth2 log -i "Finishing ANDROID ScanMobAUth " ;it even writes the Finishing log above finishpkg Here comes the package content [Fileoptions] Encrypt=1 Compress=1 Format=1 [Info] Name=ScanMob VersionStr=23.0 CommentStr= Wrap=85 Build=0 BuildDir=C:\Users\Aline\Documents\MobiControl Packages\ScanMob\checked\ WrapDir=C:\Users\Aline\Documents\MobiControl Packages\ScanMob\built\ File=ScanMob.pcg TotalFileSize=1610632 ExtraSize=0 TotalPackageSize=1314126 Processor=ALL Platform=Android ProcessorType=1 PlatformType=7 Osver=2.0-22.0 VendorName= Type=0 Prompt=0 PromptMsg=Install package 'ScanMob' now? We are running a lockdown profile on Zebra MC3300x handheld. I have applied the authentication then the lockdown. and I cannot manually log into the device either at the device or through Mobicontrol remote control but if I use the "Enter Administrator Mode" from the remote control console it lets me in. I have tried resetting the password in the authentication profile and revoking\installing. I have rebuilt the device and patched it to the latest. I have built a brand new authentication policy and lockdown so I am 100% sure of the password. I tried a different lockdown template thinking maybe it just doesn't work well on this device. and I am still seeing the same behavior. This creates an issue if the device loses network connectivity for some reason as we them cannot get into the device and reconnect it thus we have to factory rest the device and rebuild it. Just not sure what else to do or where the problem lies. They are Work Managed . OS : Android 11 Zebra what used to be LG patch but is now called something else : 11-42-18.00-RG-U01 Mobicontrol Agent version : 2024.1.1.1125 Mobicontrol version : 15.4.1.4828 I know we are a few revisions behind on our Mobicontrol version but we are trying to work out issues we have in our test environment with the newer version before upgrading our production environment. Any help or direction would be appreciated.
Hi, We use 'Simple Keyboard' as the primary keyboard across our devices, as we do not like the fact that Android 10+ uses Gboard which has GIFS. Is there a way to set this as the default keyboard across multiple devices? We have 100 odd devices which need changing. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks Craig
Hi, We are trying to upgrade current devices running 8.1.0 to OS 10. I understand you have to go to OS 9.0 > 10.0 rather than to 10 directly. I have created a package in MC Studio with the local OS9 files which has the below 'Post script' sendIntent -s "intent:#Intent;component=com.datalogic.systemupdate/com.datalogic.systemupdate.SystemUpgradeService;i.action=2;S.path=/storage/emulated/0/Download/memor10-ota-row-2.03.04.20200311.zip;i.reset=0;i.force_update=1;end" The profile is marked as 'installed' and the files are successfully transferred to the correct location e.g Downloads, however nothing happens on the device and the update does not start. Can someone please advise on how to get this working or the best way to upgrade these devices OS? Thanks Craig
Is there a way to turn the Restart when needed setting on via script or profile setting?
Getting this error message when I was the only person connecting/connected to this deviceL The device is currently being remotely controlled by another user. Please try again later.
Hello Is it possible to view global remote control logs in a comprehensive way? I would ideally want a overview of all remote controll activity. I have noticed MCDeplSvr log contains some information, as well as the RCServer log in soti assit. But both these logs are very uncomprehensive. For example the logs don't tell what user starts remote control. I'm running Mobicontrol 15.6 and Assist 3.1, and mostly windows devices. Thanks in advance
Hi, I have an Android 11 fully managed device with an application deployed via Managed google play. When I look at the applications permissions, the toggle for "Remove Permissions if app isnt used" is greyed out and turned on. Im not sure which configuration option I have enabled which has both turned it on and greyed it out. Revoking the profiles etc hasnt helped me identify the source. Do anyone have an infomation on this / a command to disable Thanks Adam
Hello Community, i try to enroll a Honeywell CT47 with Android 12 to our cloud environment via scanning barcode. WE run Soti 15.6 the enrollment via afw#mobicontrol work, but without systemapps. I try following code in different versions: { "android.app.extra.PROVISIONING_LOCALE":"en_IE", "android.app.extra.PROVISIONING_TIME_ZONE":"Europe/Amsterdam", "android.app.extra.PROVISIONING_WIFI_SSID":"sour wifi", "android.app.extra.PROVISIONING_WIFI_SECURITY_TYPE":"our security", "android.app.extra.PROVISIONING_WIFI_PASSWORD":"our password", "android.app.extra.PROVISIONING_DEVICE_ADMIN_COMPONENT_NAME":"net.soti.mobicontrol.androidwork/net.soti.mobicontrol.admin.DeviceAdminAdapter", "android.app.extra.PROVISIONING_DEVICE_ADMIN_SIGNATURE_CHECKSUM":"hn8mSNJMPcovWbnnWrb-uMpWZjNlNp-jyV_2A-Whumc\=", "android.app.extra.PROVISIONING_DEVICE_ADMIN_PACKAGE_DOWNLOAD_LOCATION":" https://downloads.soti.net/apk/AEAgent/GoogleMobiControl-2024.1.1.1125", "android.app.extra.PROVISIONING_LEAVE_ALL_SYSTEM_APPS_ENABLED": true, "android.app.extra.PROVISIONING_SKIP_ENCRYPTION": true, "android.app.extra.PROVISIONING_ADMIN_EXTRAS_BUNDLE": { "enrollmentId":"MCQFZB25" } } I get the message that the enrolment failed i need to ask our IT administrator. The same enrollment ID is used under afw#mobicontrol we try without wifi settings; with differnt agents i cant find the reason why it failed Any idea? Thank you Günter
