Hello Community, i try to enroll a Honeywell CT47 with Android 12 to our cloud environment via scanning barcode. WE run Soti 15.6 the enrollment via afw#mobicontrol work, but without systemapps. I try following code in different versions: { "android.app.extra.PROVISIONING_LOCALE":"en_IE", "android.app.extra.PROVISIONING_TIME_ZONE":"Europe/Amsterdam", "android.app.extra.PROVISIONING_WIFI_SSID":"sour wifi", "android.app.extra.PROVISIONING_WIFI_SECURITY_TYPE":"our security", "android.app.extra.PROVISIONING_WIFI_PASSWORD":"our password", "android.app.extra.PROVISIONING_DEVICE_ADMIN_COMPONENT_NAME":"net.soti.mobicontrol.androidwork/net.soti.mobicontrol.admin.DeviceAdminAdapter", "android.app.extra.PROVISIONING_DEVICE_ADMIN_SIGNATURE_CHECKSUM":"hn8mSNJMPcovWbnnWrb-uMpWZjNlNp-jyV_2A-Whumc\=", "android.app.extra.PROVISIONING_DEVICE_ADMIN_PACKAGE_DOWNLOAD_LOCATION":" https://downloads.soti.net/apk/AEAgent/GoogleMobiControl-2024.1.1.1125", "android.app.extra.PROVISIONING_LEAVE_ALL_SYSTEM_APPS_ENABLED": true, "android.app.extra.PROVISIONING_SKIP_ENCRYPTION": true, "android.app.extra.PROVISIONING_ADMIN_EXTRAS_BUNDLE": { "enrollmentId":"MCQFZB25" } } I get the message that the enrolment failed i need to ask our IT administrator. The same enrollment ID is used under afw#mobicontrol we try without wifi settings; with differnt agents i cant find the reason why it failed Any idea? Thank you Günter
i have 2 saved networks on my device, both have auto reconnect off so they are not fighting over connection when in range of each other. 1 of them requires to skip random mac and the other will connect using tablet mac or random mac the one with either/or connection will let me tap on it from SOTI settings manager and sometimes it will prompt for password but still get connected anyway or just connect The other one that requires tablet mac to connect, I have set this us using KSP and confirmed the settings are sticking even after a restart but when i click on the ssid from soti settings it prompts for a password and never connects. when i go into admin mode and try again through soti settings it does same thing only when i go to system settings --> wifi connections and tap on the wifi from there to join it, it connects, i do not have to put in the password or change any settings. please help, I need this to work like the other wifi via soti settings manager on the lockdown kiosk. I don't want them in admin mode to have to tap wifi for it to connect .
I've been grappling with this issue for some time, and have posted about it before but I'm starting a fresh thread as suggested by Soti and following confirmation from them that this is an Android OS issue which cannot be fixed by Soti. The issue is that in-house apps cannot be successfully deployed to Android devices automatically, when using BYOD or COPE profiles. In work managed enrolments, updates to the in-house app deploy seamlessly without problem. In work profile (BYOD) and COPE enrolments, MobiControl attempts to deploy the app but Android requires user permission, and no notification or request is displayed. A silent notification does appear in the notification tray if the user looks for it, but they need to seek it within 30 minutes of the update being pushed out, otherwise MobiControl abandons the update attempt. I would have expected that, with a COPE (company owned, personal profile) device, the app deployment would be automatic, and that with a BYOD profile the user would be asked for permission to update. But the actual behaviour is the same with both BYOD and COPE profiles, and requires each user to be personally asked to deploy the update within 30 minutes. There are no notifications displayed under any circumstances. The behaviour is the same regardless of whether deploying the app via an app policy or a profile. It is also the case that, in order even to get to this point, the "Allow installation of apps from unknown sources" permission must be given to MobiControl in the work profile (undocumented), AND a similar permission must be expressly enabled in the Restrictions -> Security section of the device profile on the MobiControl server. After 10 months of troubleshooting, Soti have finally told me that this is the 'expected behaviour' according to Google. Has anyone else experience this and, more importantly, found a way to work around it? Thank you James MobiControl server 15.6.3.1018
Hi, We currently have two problems in Soti: 1. apps are no longer displayed on the devices in the Mobicontrol internal app catalogue. The app policies are still there and active. When I go to a device and click on the "Configurations" tab, the "App Policies" only load continuously, but nothing is listed. It affects all of our devices.Otherwise, the devices work properly the last months. The devices run Android 9-12, are all Android Enterprise and are connected to the Managed Google Play account. So everything is actually the same as always and as it has been for the last few months. Search Index Sync is also fine. Reboot of the Server did not help either. 2. During tests, I started to deactivate some app policies. These can no longer be activated if I set a special filter. These filters were active for many months. We have the CustomAttribute "Office 365?". If this is set to "Yes", the app policy is assigned to Office. As you can see here in the screenshot, it was always set. Now I can no longer save the filter and activate the app policy again Soti Version: 2024.0.1.1020 Honeywell CT60/XP & Zebra MC33/X Devices

MobiControl Version: 15.6.1.1048 Device: Samsung Tab A9 (SM-X115) OS Version: Android 14 Agent Version: 2024.1.1.1125 I have noticed that on our Android 14 Samsung tablets, we dont seem to be able to remove the 'Edge Panel' via MobiControl. Previosuly we had done this with an app run control profile that blacklists the Edge Panel bundle ID (com.samsung.android.app.cocktailbarservice). This seems to work for all Android versions apart from 14. On our Android 14 devices, it shows as uninstalled, but it still appears on the device and in the settings app as per the screenshots below. Is there another way that i can bulk remove this from devices without having to manually go into settings on each one and disable it?

Our 'Deployment Server Extensions & Web Console' certificate is about to expire. I went to the administration utility and generated a new certificate. During this process I was not required to write anything. But when I try to apply the certificate, I get a warning that the host name does not match the certificate common name. Is there something I should do prior to generating the certificate? Our server is running on premises and is version 14.2.0.2894
