I have enrolled an Zebra MC33 Oreo (with latest Lifeguard Update) device with Android Enterprise Device Owner. The Hawkeye Plugin available from Soti Webpage was installed via MobiControl and shows up as "installed". The problem is that there is only "remote view" available, remote control does not work. Does anybody have an idea what the problem could be? MC-Version: 14.3.0.3144 Agent-Version: 13.6.0.1662
Hi, is it possible to prevent using 'Downloadable Plugin (legacy)' for Remote Control via a server side setting ? (and enforce using the Web-based version?)
I have a 14.2.2 MobiControl Cloud instance that was working fine with Remote Control until the trial of SOTI Assist was activated. Now every time an attempt is made to Remote Control a device this error comes up. Has anybody seen this? Since it's a cloud instance I am likely at the mercy of SOTI support to get this resolved if it requires managing anything at the server level but I'd still like to get an idea of what is going wrong.
Hi all, there seems to be a problem with RC (plugin downloaded from soti.net) and TC20 latest AE agent (13.6.0.1662). When AE agent is updated to the latest version, then a reboot of device the remote control stop working, in details: RC stay in "waiting screen". It does not matter the version of Android (Nougat or Oreo), the problem it's with the AE agent. In a Zebra TC51, same plugin, same agent version, same enrolment type works fine. Has anyone had the same problem? Thank you, Filippo
Hello, I have been working with the new WiFi only, Verizon and ATT Samsung Tab A models/devices. Both the WiFi Only and Verizon models received their firmware updates (2108-11-01 & 2018-10-01) and the remote control functionality works with SoTi afterwards. On the ATT T387AA, i preformed all the available updates and verified on ATT website that it has the most recent version (Android Security Patch Level 2018-12-01). The remote control function is still not working using Android Plus or Enterprise, Web based or Plugin. I found another post referencing the issue and was advised to perform the updates but it is still not working. Agent: 13.6.0.1476 Console: 14.2.2.1170 and 14.2.1.4394 Firmware: 8.1.0 Thank You Edgar Rodriguez
for some reason i cannot remote control any of our AT&T Samsung SM-T387AA android 8.1 tablets. they are enrolled with Android+. everytime i try to remote control them, i get stuck on "waiting For Screen". the screen will never load. i am confused because we also have Verizon Tab E SM-T378V they were android 7.1 but we upgraded them to 8.1 and they work flawlessly. the remote connection always comes through with no issues. just the AT&T tablets never work. both ATT and Verizon have the same enrollment type, same agent, and same profiles/rules assigned. the only difference is the physical tablet. the agent version is 13.5.1 build 1044 (ELM Active MDM API Samsung MDM 5.7, Samsung Knox 3.0 (6.2.0) RC1 (1.8.0.102) does anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance!

Dear Friends, Iwant to ask you about IOS "Full Device Remote Control" when I start scrren Recording, and when connection to Mobicontrol Has been established. Is there a way to change the default video color quality settings in the desktop remote control plugin of MobiControl? Whenever I start a new session, it always defaults to "Highest Color (32-bit)". This is unfortunate because many of our customers' units connect on cellular, have tariffs billable to the MB, and a short remote session with the highest color quality is known to take up dozens of MBs of traffic. Besides, I have the impression that the video on the remote control plugin initializes more slowly because it starts with he highest quality. Sometimes all you need is to retrieve some files, kill/restart processes, send scripts, etc., so the video streaming is not always needed. I'd like to change it to "4 Shade Grayscale" by default. I don't find this in the "Edit" settings, although there are other settings which are persistent, such as "File Extension Mapping", which is a neat way to have a preferred text editor to open up device logs and other text files. So maybe this would be a feature request? Would appreciate any help.
Dear Team we have one new device Sumsung J8 . remote control is not working . other activities are working fine like package push . file copy please find screen for your reference
It's very difficult (sometimes impossible) to access to the Administator Lockdown password by remote control. Is there a command to send to the device to open the password field ?
Hello, We are testing some Android Oreo devices (Samsung J6) as Android+ and Android Enterprise and we have found that remote control does not show screen image. Buttons work (home, back, volume).Screen is shown as a white image and even if you clic in some area where it happens to be and icon, it opens the app. We tested Android+ agent version 13.5.1 Build 1044 (the latest) and Android Enterprise versión 13.5.1 Build 1234 (latest) with Mobicontrol servers version 13.3.0.3454, 14.1.6.1113 and 14.1.7.1101 I appreciate your comments and suggestions.
I've recently upgraded MobiControl to v14.1 and have also installed SOTI Assist so that I am able to remote control onto Android devices which are enrolled with MobiControl. When viewing the device details on MobiControl the remote control option is not shown at all. I've also contacted SOTI and was told to try sending the following script to the device: _resetfailedrcdetectionflag restartagent This did not resolve the issue, I am still not able to remote control any of the Android devices I have enrolled. I also have a range of HHT devices enrolled, I am able to use SOTI Assist Remote Control with these devices but not with Android tablets. What else do I need to do to be able to control the Android devices remotely?
I have some devices that the remote control does not work because they do not have the last update of the operating system. Given that the devices are in kiosk mode, the user can not run the update, which is why we want to know if we can do it through Soti MobiControl through some script and task scheduling
Hi, we are facing issues with the SSL certificate for MobiControl WebConsole. Please, see the scheenshots below. We are using the latest version of Chrome however we have same issue when we tried Microsoft Edge. Moreover this issue is preventing us from using the normal remote control (non HTML5). It keeps downloading the SotiRemoteControl plugin (SotiRemoteControlInstaller.msi) even though it is already installed (see last screenshot for browser error). Please, advise how can we resolve this.
