Hey all, I'm trying to use the %MCDEVICENAME% macro in a Enterprise app, managed configuration. The result is "%MCDEVICENAME%" populating the field within the application. When using the %SERIALNUM% macro. I actually get the serialnumber in the field. Device: TC73 OEM Build: 14-20-14.00-UG-U00-STD-ATH-04 Agent Version: 2025.2.1.1060 MC Version: Version: 2025.1.0.1010 I'm happy to open a support case but thought I'd check with the community first. Hello, we are looking to roll out eSims to our IOS devices. Does anyone know what the conditions are for the remote command to work?We've tested on a few devices and if the iPhone is on and connected to internet the eSim installs instantly.However I tested with a device that was off for a few days and when it turned on and checked in it did not apply the eSim settings.The logs show that 'eSIM Cellular Plan Update requested' but no further logs. Do the devices have to be turned on and connected to the internet when the command is sent for the changes to apply? We're dealing with large numbers of devices and some are already out in the field so this may be an issue.
Hello everyone, we are currently using a configured URL within our Kiosk Mode, which allows our users to open a specific submenu. In this particular section, the on-screen keyboard automatically pops up, even though no text input is required.This behavior causes unnecessary interactions and makes the workflow less efficient for our employees. Therefore, I would like to ask:Is there a way in SOTI MobiControl to disable or control the automatic appearance of the keyboard?Maybe through a specific Kiosk Mode setting, an OEMConfig parameter, or a WebView-related option? Any insights, experiences, or possible workarounds would be greatly appreciated.Thank you in advance for your support!
We have about 60 MC9300's. All of them are on Android 13. I upgraded one of our test devices to the latest Android 14 lifeguard patch to test the applications, however Xsight is not working properly on this device now. It has all the same profiles at the 13 devices, which all work fine with Xsight. When connecting to the 14 device, the file manager and task manager buttons are missing and the screen never connects. I can turn off Kiosk, Turn on Kiosk, Enter admin mode. I compared the Xsight info on the 13 devices to this one and they are identical. Anyone else have this issue?
Hello, Currently we are trialing the Shared Device mode in SOTI using Samsung android tablets. We have set up both Login Pre-lockdown and Post-lockdown profiles. And configured the Shared Device mode details using Entra SSO etc. When you click the Login icon, it brings up the O365 username and password screen. After entering your details for SSO and signing in, the screen disappears and briefly shows the Login screen again. Then, you are prompted to enter your session PIN. Once you enter the PIN, it returns to the Login screen. The main issue is that it takes about 5 to 10 seconds for the device to sign in and switch to the Post-lockdown profile. Our staff are getting confused because sometimes the session PIN prompt doesn’t appear, or after entering the PIN, there’s a 5-10 second delay, making them think nothing is happening, so they click Login again. Is it possible to add a transition screen after setting a PIN, such as a “Loading” or “Please wait” message?Thanks

I have an enterprise application that I have to update regularly and every time I do it takes forever to flow down to the devices. I have 1200 devices now but this speed has been this way since I put my first 100 devices into my 2024.1 instance. Not sure if I am missing something but is there anyway to speed up the flow of the updated APK to all devices?
We have an issue with lots of our iphones using excessive data. We've looked in settings on the handsets and can see it is used by System Services -> General. Is there any way to restrict the amount of data that the system services could use? Are there any other settings to help us control/reduce usage of data? The phones have an application run control setting so that only one app and the settings can be used on the device.

In mobicontrol I am pushing 2 apps to our CT45 scanner. One is our picking app and the other is our Aladdin app for our CodiScanners from Datalogic. The Codiscanner is linked to our CT45 scanner via the Aladdin app. The Aladdin app adds the aladdin keyboard which you need enable before it is recognized and is used in our picking app. I am trying to enable and set this aladdin keyboard after post-install as default keyboard via a script with the command: afw_set_preferred_keyboard com.datalogic.aladdinapp/.views.keyboardview.AladdinSoftKeyboard But this seems not to work. If I try to manually send a script to the device then I only have as script types: Legacy, javascript, powershell 32-bit compatibility, powershell native. Is this normal? I select javascript then I get the below error: 01:40:08 PM Error Custom log (missing ; before statement (UserScript#2)) MDV-VWA22071B34A2 A007703 01:39:52 PM Information Script was sent to device ( afw_set_preferred_keyboard com.datalogic.aladdinapp/.views.keyboardview.AladdinSoftKeyboard) If I send it as Legacy script then the command is sent but nothing happens and there is no error in the log. I see somewhere in a documentation that it mentions as script type: Android for Work but I do not have this choice. Am I doing something wrong or am I missing something. Can you help me out?
Hi everyone, We need to schedule the deployment of a specific profile to different sets of devices on separate days. The deployment should always take place between 23:30 and 06:00 (Spanish time) to minimize operational impact. We have already tested the "Custom Deployment Schedule" option, but it does not work as expected.Our console version is 2025.0.3.1026. Example schedule: Day 1: Deploy to devices A and B between 23:30 and 06:00 (Spanish time). Day 2: Deploy to devices C and D between 23:30 and 06:00 (Spanish time). Day 3: Deploy to devices E and F between 23:30 and 06:00 (Spanish time). Please confirm if this deployment schedule can be configured accordingly or if any additional information is required. Hello, is there an possibility to force the download and installation of OTA via Soti 2024.1.2.1046. With force i mean The OTA process on the device start immediately with download and installation and not "12h" later.. only Zebra Enterprise devices. Kind regards Günter
Hi everyone, We need to deploy profiles and applications to devices based on both the user and the path, for example: (User A and Path A) or (User B and Path B) We can’t achieve this using the Devices or Users tabs, since the conditions are added together rather than combined as “user AND path.” The only possible approach we’ve found so far is using filters.We can get the user from the Device Name (as we rename each device with the user’s name), but we can’t find a way to retrieve the Path. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions?One possible solution could be using Custom Data, but in that case, we’d need something on the device that automatically writes its Path. Thanks in advance!
Hi, We need to implement bad read notification when a wrong barcode is scanned, so I used the notification section in DataCollectionService.xml (see picture) to configure this but the sounds still the same for good read notification or bad read notification.
