Good Afternoon. We have a system update policy in place on our Samsung devices. I have gone into the profile and extended the policy another 90 days. However, 76 devices are showing "Install failed" Is there a way to retry this without revoking the entire profile? We use only 1 profile that includes a simple kiosk screen and our configurations.
Hi, Can someone please explain the Honeywell contract model to me?We have a number of Honeywell CT60 and CT60XP devices.The CT60s are almost all still on Android 9 and I would like to update them to Android 11/12. The download page says that you need a contract to get the download. However, if I click on the Android 11 folder, for example, I can access the download without entering the contract. https://imgur.com/a/SbfDBxO At the same time, the Honeywell site ( https://sps.honeywell.com/us/en/support/blog/productivity/why-you-should-keep-ruggedized-android-devices-os-updated) says that updates are free. Here (https://support.honeywellaidc.com/s/article/How-to-access-Android-10-kernel-files-on-the), on the other hand, it says that you need a contract. Our units do not have this contract and are already 2-3 years old. Can I update them or not?Our dealer said that you have to sign an extra contract for just the Android software. But in the end, none of his customers are doing this because Honeywell can't control it. Morning, I have intermittently issues with RF devices that are not showing up in SOTImobiControl wen console. The devices are pinguable. Attached are information of the device from SOTI Can you help how I can fix that issue? Thks in advance
Running Samsung tablet with Android 12 and the kiosk lockdown is not getting installed from the Profile in the Configurations. All permissions for SOTI are set to Allow on the tablet. All other items in the Profile (wifi, wallpapers, authentication, etc) are installed and working correctly. What else needs to be set? Is this OS blocking the LockDown?
Greetings everyone, I am currently working on a Lockdown template and trying to get the name of my devices there. If I use the macro %PERSONALIZED_DEVICE_NAME% it will only output "TC25" in our case (Zebra TC25 devices). I've seen that it would be possible to send a script to each phone to change the Personalized Device name, but since we rename our devices quite a few times, I don't want to as much automated as possible. If there is no macro for this, what would be the best approach to show a personalized String on each device? Thanks
Hello, We work with soti in version 15.5.1 we have a lot of Zebra TC75X under android 7 -> 02 07 08 with lifeguard update 02 (may 2022). We try to migrate these device to android entreprise, but every time we receive this message: 1 selected device(s) have Android Enterprise migration in progress. A certificate is place to mobcontrol for to migrate to entreprise we ask this to Zebra. this certificate is active with the date :) If I search on google, i find there is some criteria for to migrate: - OS Need to be 7 - Zebra MX need to be > 9 - no google account https://www.soti.net/mc/help/v15.5/en/console/devices/managing/enrollment/androidplus/enterprise/zebra_migration_ae.html ALL criteria seems to be respected -> version of MX is 9.4 / no google account someone have any idea, why i can not migrate ? Last thing, device was migrate before to entreprise ... because i make some test But i make a factory reset re install the OS 7 + re enroll into mobicontrol thanks for your help
Hi Guys, do you know if there is any possibility to disable the notification sound of Android 13 devices with a script or a specific setting? In my case this question belongs to samsung devices. I tried something like this: writesecuresetting -sys notification_sound 0 This script doesn't had an effect on the devices. On the device itself is the settings manager where every user can configure their settings by theirself. But we need to disbale the notification sound by default. I am thankful for every advice. We have Android tablets in lockdown (Soti Surf, Gallery, Camera, and Soti Settings are the only apps used) and have allowed USB access to the sdcard to pull pictures or videos by turning on USB sharing and USB Debugging allowed. We just want to keep the setting of transfering photos only (gives access to DCIM and Pictures folder). Every time the device is rebooted it switches back to the default of showing all the folders in the sdcard (when you plug it into a pc to pull data). Thanks
Hi all,At the moment I am working on our Honeywell CK65's where I am trying to use the mcsetup.ini file to envoke the enrollment URL after provisioning it with Honeywell Provisioner. Is there a way to get this working so that the device can be setup in a one step process ? We have transfered mcsetup.ini /sd/download using honeywell provisioner can we specify the enrollment in honeywell or in the mcsetup.ini we cannot use enrollment ID as our enviorment is fully isolated from the internet.Thanks in advance.
Hey there, we must change the wlan certificate on the devices. At the moment the RADIUS ISE use his old certificate, but next week we will switch to the new certificate. I have created a new Profile with the certificate und the wlan settings and deployed this on the devices (Adnroid ET51 and MC33). The devices get the new certificate but on the wlansettings he says "ignored". The wlansettings use the same SSID and informations, only the certificate is new. Get MobiCOntrol a Problem with this or when we switch the certificate on the ISE, mobicontrol switch the wlansettings automatic on the device? Hase someone experience with this case?
Hi all, I am currently working on setting up a geofence for our Honeywell CK65 devices. The problem is when I click onto a device and click the "Location" tab I am presented with a persistant loading screen. I have attempted to use diffrent browsers, disabled firewall, checked to see if the location settings were enabled on the device ect. None of these have worked. Any help would be much appreciated.
Hi all, So I am currently working on updating our Honeywell CK65's OS versions with zero touch for end users. My issue is that when the device updates you are required to put an Android Pin when the device turns back on. Is there a script to bypass the need of putting the pin in? Thank you
Hi all, we have the problem, that we need to change an ini file and put in an number that is related to the device name. We use Zebra TC21 and MC33xx with Android 10 an 11. For the translation from device name into the number we would download an csv file with both values and read the values. Most of the script works, at the moment we are stuck in downloading a file. On the web are a lot of descriptions, but i did not find one that works. Is someone out there who has an idea to that? Best regardsJürgen
Hi, We have a large quantity of Honeywell CK65's right now running on Android Enterprise OS version 11. I am currently trying to figure out how to set the screen timeout from 1 minute to 3 minutes without having to manually go into each device putting it into admin mode and going into the device settings to change it in the display settings. Is there a way to get this done all on Soti Mobicontrol efficiently. Previous attempts have been: 1.Entering the script Writesecuresetting –sys screen_off_timeout 180000 in a file sync rule. 2.Entering the script Writesecuresetting –sys screen_off_timeout 180000 in a legacy script on the device itself Much appreciated for any help -Gabriel
