Every time the MobiControl management app updates you are required to sign in to the app, download a new profile, and manually accept and install it within the settings app to be able to access the management app. I have also seen this behavior when changing profiles for various actions like managing an app or device features. Additionally after iOS updates this also seems to happen. Is there any way around this / to force the ipad to authenticate without user interaction? It's incredibly frustrating especially when troubleshooting with users to ask them to go in and access this. I have Safari disabled on locked down ipads that only access internal resources aside from OS updates and management and due to this there is no way to sign in after an agent update without removing the lock-down on these devices one by one. This is beyond frustrating. There is already a MDM Profile installed on the device so the mdm should be able to identify and authenticate through the magic of said profile. Other MDM providers don't have this kind of limitation. Anyone else frustrated by this? Experiencing the same issue? Used to this sort of thing with Soti Mobicontrol?
Hi, We are enrolling iOS devices, on which we have pushed managed applications on the devices. These Application policies worked fine. Now, We have configured Feature Control Policy where we have disabled screenshot, thinking it will work for only managed applications (As there is no seprate profiles in iOS). But the Screenshot is now disabled for whole device even tho the device is enroled in User Type. Let me know how can i restrict th data leakage or sharing of managed application.
It appears that extensible SSO is the configuration to use, but it is unclear as to how exactly it needs to be configured. I have tried with the initial app called out in the 'App Extension Bundle Identifier' field and different variations of the company's OKTA address in the URL prefix for Redirect SSO type and Host Name for Credential SSO type. I haven't been able to find great documentation.
Hi - is there a way to limit the use of Apple IDs on an iphone to only the Managed Apple ID? We do not want users using personal IDs on corporate devices. Thanks Sue
Good morning all,I've enrolled an iPad in to MobiControl - the device has downloaded and installed the management and configuration profiles and the MobiControl app is saying that it is checking in with the enrollment server and all looks fine.In the web console though the device is not appearing - any ideas what might be happening here?I've got the APNS cert installed and created an enrollment rule (which is where the enrollment ID token has come from anyway) and I'm a bit lost.Got about 75 Android and Windows devices enrolled and never seen this issue before.
Hello, if we have distributed an Enterprise iOS app with an IPA file and we need to upgrade it to a new version, would I just upload this over the existing file in the App Policy? I'm pretty sure this is the case but I'm working with a third party app so have limited opportunity to test.
I'm just getting to grips with MobiControl - using 15.6 on a cloud-hosted platform. I've set up App Store license management, APNS and ADE. I've created an iOS profile, and I've added our custom app to the MobiControl App for iOS Devices profile. Having created the enrolment profile and attempted to enrol my iPhone, I get as far as installing the trust profile, enabling full trust and downloading the enrolment profile. But this fails with "Profile installation failed - profile failed to install". Not the most helpful error message. Hope someone can help, please. Thank you.
I hope s.o. can help me in this case. We have Soti Mobicontrol as cloud service and want to provide iOS tablets in kiosk mode with only a few apps which are available for the user. Therefore we want to create a custom home screen layout with only the necessary apps. In the documentation from soti https://soti.net/mc/help/v15.6/en/console/configurations/profiles/configurations/categories/other/ios_home_screen_config.html we found the solution. Our problem is that the necesarry option is not displayed. Here is a picture from "other" in our Soti console. The important option Home Screen Layout is missing in our system. Please give me a hint how we could enable this option.
I have installed the Mobi agent and our retail app from the store via App Store Licence Management and an app policy. That works fine and the apps install. i now pushed a feature control profile and the 2 apps disappear. There is also a wifi and certificate setup in the profile but i dont think they are causing it. Has anyone had this before and know what feature control might be doing this?
Apple device is enrolled into SOTI but unless the user has the SOTI app open the device is showing as offline. If the device is lost and I wish to track it I am unable to get to the device. If i want to remote on to track a location or do anything where I do not wish to speak with the user, I am unable to do it. Help please :)
We have around 1000 iPads and now want to carry out an IOS update. Is there a possibility in Soti to automate the IOS update and control the time, e.g. only between 10pm and 4am?
hello I have over 60 policies where the same app is used, but at "Managed App Config" - "Application Configuration" each contains a different code. The code (525 lines) differs only in one line each. Is there a way to customize the code per policy via another way e.g. Script, API ??? thanks for the help
we have ipad in different subnet. There are iPads with the correct iP address. However, there are also iPads for which the iP address is not correct or is not displayed, but the devices can be managed or communicate with MobiControl. The devices can be "checked in" and also receive a response. What do I have to do to update the IP address of the iPads on Soti?
I wanted to add a custom attribute to an app policy under "advanced configuration" - managed app config - application configuration. Unfortunately, this does not work. Does this work at all, if so, what am I doing wrong?
What do I have to do to ensure that the correct IP address is entered in MobiControl for IOS devices?
