MobiControl could not start MCDPSRV service after update to 15.5

I searched the forum but not found any info on these two errors. Anyone come across either of these during upgrade? Installation was successful with no errors on DB upgrade but deployment server would not start. First one, nothing has changed on the network. Using same FQDN in the upgrade wizard as the current server, firewall rules are all set per system requirements. Cert is valid. The other main error from the logs is with deployment server extensions not connecting to SQL db. We are using windows creds for this which works fine on 15.2. Testing connection to DB is green in the admin utility. 2022-07-18 23:38:16,755 (0x00001a28) [ERROR] [CDeploymentSrv::InitDeploymentServerExtension] Error initializing Deployment Server Extensions: System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException (0x80131904): Login failed for user 'NT AUTHORITY\ANONYMOUS LOGON'. System info: MC: Server 2016, separate Azure SQL VM instance. Latest Java 11 LTS.

    Historical battery percentage

Hi Is there a way of reporting on historical battery percentage, a Data Collected (Battery Status) is collected so the data has been taken.  The reason for the question, all of our devices are put on charge every night (Honeywell EDA51) and left on. Some of the devices seem to be dying part way through the day so I want to be able to see if the devices were charged to 100% and the drain rate over the day Thanks

    Adding JotForm icons to Kiosk

Have several JotForms created and want to have icons placed for those forms on the kiosk lock screen.  Bookmark option just bookmarks the website in Chrome app, but I'd like separate icons per form so the user does not have to search in Chrome on the android tablet.  How do I do this?

Can SOTI handle Wildcards in Subject Alternative Name field?

Hello there We wanted to change our wildcard Certificate for Mobicontrol as well as 2 Exchange ERGs. Unfortunately the customer wasn't able anymore to generate a wildcard certificate like *.domain.ch The cert. looks like that right now: service.domainname.ch and in the SAN field they have entered *.domainname.ch MobiControl was able to handle it, but on the ERGs the mailsync stopped unless we've changed back everything. Has anybody some experience with such certificates? Can this work or should we generate a certificate for each service? Thank you for any inputs. Best Regards Beni

Device relocation - triggered by date & time, including offline devices Solved

Hi Is there any way to configure  MobiControl to effectively automatically drag and drop devices between folders, triggered by date and time?  (Relocating them regardless of whether or not they are powered on) I need to move some devices from one particular folder to another in the early hours of the morning (when I'd much rather be sleeping!) One way to achieve this is to use a timed Alert rule, triggered by something that's always true, such as Operating System Version >6 in our case. However this is not ideal as some users switch their devices off overnight meaning that even if I set the schedule to every 2 minutes, users may be able to power on and start using the device before it is moved (which will result in an update to the app they've just started using and unsaved work). I also don't want to burden the deployment server with the load of checking hundreds of devices every 2 minutes...

    Delete unwanted plugins Solved

Good morning, I need to install a specific plugin on some devices, here the details: Manufacturer: Emdoor Android version: 10 Enrollment type: Work Managed Device Agent version: 15.1.5.1049 MobiControl instance version: 15.5.0.1021 I had some issues to access the internal memory (I spoke about this issue in another topic) and because of that SOTI support released a new plugin which should fix the issue. The issue that I have now is that I'm not able to install the updated plugin because MobiControl installs a wrong one. If I click on "Install Device Plugin": MobiControl installs this plugin: Which is wrong, because the correct one is this: My question is: how can I delete the unwanted plugins in order to force MobiControl to install the correct one? I can't find any delete option even if I'm MobiControl administrator. Thank you, best regards.

How do I get Teamviewer QS running with SOTI kiosk mode on Android devices?

We have a number of devices that are running with the lockdown kiosk enabled but we need to be able to use Teamviewer QS for troubleshooting/configuration of the 1 specific APK that is used on the devices. Teamviewer QS works like it should when the kiosk is disabled but as soon as we re-enable kiosk mode the Teamviewer remote session only displays a black screen. What do I need to configure/set up to allow for a teamviwer QS session to be run properly with kiosk mode enabled?

    Enrollment fails due to non-compliance

Hi, has anyone experienced difficulties in enrolling a device such that it becomes "Non-Compliant"? This is a Zebra TC21, running Android 10, MX 10.4. Enrollment fails, the device DOES end up in the device list however, but cannot be controlled via Soti at all. The enrollment process on the device gives an error. We've tried to enroll on the latest version of the Soti Mobicontrol server, as well as on 15.4. Regards,Daníel

    Android 10 Enrollment - auto_time message popup

Hey there, I am currently enrolling MX3300x's to our environment and everything seems to be fine but we are getting a message at the bottom of the screen of our kiosk mode saying the following: server policies restricts the use of feature auto_time" then it disappears. I don't know if these will interrupt our users from their tasks but I would like to get rid of the message altogether. It seems to be enrolling at the current time. Not sure where the issue lies.

can we allow users to sign in to Google Maps using android enterprise device?

We have pushed Google Maps out to our Android enterprise enrolled devices (Samsung A7 lite). Google Maps opens and works fine, however when one of our users tries to sign into Maps with their account, we get a message that says "Action not allowed". Am I missing something in the configuration or feature control of the app? we would like to let our users log in with their accounts so they can have all their pins and favorites.
