Morning - I am running V15.5 now and in preps of M365 being fully rolled out I am working on compliance policies that would restrict access to M365 if a device goes non-compliant. Now What I am trying to figure out is how to get the server to run the policy. And the reason I want the server to do it is because if you set the policy to say a device is offline for 2 days or hasnt checked in in 2 days we would want that device to go non compliant and access is then cut off. Is anyone else running into this or did I miss some easy setting?
Hello, I noticed that some servers are using a lot of memory. And the cause is always the MobiControl Management Service. This very often takes up 3-4GB of RAM. Why do some servers use little memory for the service and other servers use a lot? Thanks!

Hi I was able to enroll a device with a certain Enrollment ID so it would go to a specific location. Yet, i'm not able to see the device within our soti cloud Saas. The device itself receives the packages/profiles that has been activated on the specific location. The only thing I can see on the device 'Event Logs' are error messages about "Failed to acquire location (timeout)." Device type: Samsung-SM-T585 Agent version: 15.1.5 build 1049 Android version 8.1.0 (unable to find more upgrades) Best regards Brian
Good Morning! I am wanting to allow certain permissions for several apps without having to go into the device settings. Permissions I am wanting to allow include Location, storage, camera, draw over other apps, modify system settings, install unknown apps. I would like to be able to grant these permissions through a script using the bundle ID if possible?
Hi all, We've created a profile that contains an XML file being pushed to the device, but for the configuration to apply the devices needs a reboot. Ideally we would want the device to reboot itself when the profile is installed. I've tried a post-install script in the package as ''reset /S'' but this doesn't work. Is there a way to make a unit reboot automatically when a profile is installed ? Thanks,

Good morning, I am needing to send an uninstall app script to about 500 devices who have the same profile assigned. This profile has an app apk package that I would like to uninstall using an uninstall script. Is there a way to send the script to the entire profile instead of selecting multiple devices and sending the devices the script? I do not want to get rid of the package itself, I want to uninstall the app from the devices and then assign a new version of the app via a package. I tried to package up and do a new version string, but the install is failing on my test devices saying "failed to install i/o error". so far the only way I can resolve this is by uninstalling the app first then pushing it out again.

Hello Community! I have Soti MobiControl, version 15.4.2.1020 in use. I have a requirement to manage and lockdown Raspberry PIs and Ubuntu servers via Soti.According to the documentation only Ubuntu 16.04 as well as Ubuntu 18.04 are supported. I have set up 2 VMs with 16.04 & 18.04 and cannot confirm that the lockdown works for Linux. According to logs the npm packages are missing as well as electron, but they are not installed by themselves. On newer Ubuntu servers and on Raspbian 10/11 I have no chance to get the lockdown working. Has anyone done this before or is there a trick to use the build-in Lockdown from Soti? I don't want to program my own kiosk browser, because it has to work dynamically for 30 works. Thanks for your help, kind regardsMartin

Hi all, We've purchased a fleet of CT40 (model L1N-1NC11BF) last year but we've been struggling with application refresh since then. Those devices are enrolled as AE Work Managed from the initial steps, running on android 9. By application refresh, I mean the user is working on our app then it just closes suddenly (no error message). I made some tests where I have multiple apps open, then switch between them and when coming back to our app it logs you out and brings you to the main screen (like a refresh). That ''kickout'' is happening on a random basis. We've applied a system configuration on the XML file so the DOZEMode is disabled, the Provisioning mode is always ON, the ''retain app login state'' is also enabled. This only diminished the kickout. We don't know where to aim now as we've explored so many hypothesis (from Firewall-webserver communication to app optimization by the vendor) I'm looking for feedback from people who are using the Honeywell CT40 to see what is their overall experience and compare Thanks,
Hello everyone, We are running into a bit of an issue regarding SOTI and Bluetooth addresses. Whenever we install SOTI on an Android 6.0.1_r5 device, the Bluetooth address stays the same. However, whenever we install it on an Android 8 or 9 device, we find that the Bluetooth address changes. This is verified when we pair the device with another and check the address manually with Android's SDK (as opposed to the settings UI). Furthermore, upon a reinstall, the Bluetooth address is changed again, but to a new one. What is happening here? Is a new static address being assigned every time, or a non-resolvable private address? We need to know as we rely on the Bluetooth address being accurate for our use cases.
We are wondering, if we change te account used to configure APNS in SOTI will the current enrolled devices keep on working? I know the manual mention the re-enrollment of devices after changing.But does the change mean the devices need to be enrolled directly after changing or do we have time to do this on een controlled scheduled base without devices loosing funtionallity (except then voor the APNS)
Hi everyone, I installed a new on premise instance with MobiControl V15.5In the admin utility everything is okay. When I enter onto the web console there are some warning messages. Do you have any ideas what I can to there to solve this? It is on a Windows Server 2019 with SQL Express 2019. We had no error messages while installing. Only thing we had to do was an offline activation of the license.
