Hi all, i have a problem to filter/search via the API using /devices/search (URL encoded ofc) or /devices In both i always get that the filter is not set correctly but i don't get what to change. In general i want to do following via API: The relevant URL is then like: https://SOTISERVER.EXT/MobiControl/WebConsole/home/dashboard/devices?search=IsAgentOnline%20Equal%20%22FALSE%22%20AND%20LastAgentDisconnectTime%20NotWithIn%20%2230%20DAYS%22%20&groups=PATH&subGroups=true I tried for example: IsAgentOnline:false As it can be found later in the data and in the example at least for the /devices (Property:Value) "IsAgentOnline":false IsAgentOnline=false ... But with no success, I always get "Parameter filter has invalid value IsAgentOnline." or similar. I also did it with no issue without a filter set and then in the devices data provided for example "IsAgentOnline": false can be found but seem not to be able to be used that way. We use version 2024.1.1 Can anyone tell me how to enter the filter correctly?
We have had an App Profile in place that installs the Parallels Client from the Google Play Store since June 2023. We got an MC93 back from Zebra with Android 13 on it and now when it get's to the install the Play Store says “Your device isn’t compatible with this version” Yet we have an MC93 Android 13 with the Parallels client installed on it, which would have been done this way. We can install via a side load of the apk but not via Google Play Store. It's as if they have the play store configure incorrectly. We have contacted Parallels but they won't help unless we have a RAS Server licence, but we don't have one as are just using RDP into a Terminal Server. Please note we have also tried on an MC93 with Android 11 and have the same issue. Anyone got any further information, or will I just need to configure the install to be via side load. Thanks Andy
Hello All,I've tried to mask blue bars in Soti Surf (Top and Bottom Bars), but it doesn't work! Result: I've also ticked ‘Hide Address Bar’ but it's still visible. I can only activate full page mode by checking the ‘Enable Kiosk Mode’ option. ZEBRA L10 tablet running Android14.Agent version: 2025.0.2.1045SOTI Surf version: 2025.1.0 Build 1Thank you in advance for your help.
Hi everyone, After upgrading the OS from iOS 16 to iOS 18, many of our iPhone users have reported that the "Forget This Network" option has disappeared (see the below screenshots), making it impossible to remove unwanted Wi-Fi networks from their devices. Our devices are managed through MobiControl version 2025.1.0, and agent version is 2025.0.0. We have a Profile assigned to those devices where it automatically join connect them to our WiFi (see below). Is this a bug introduced by iOS or something related to MobiControl? Please help as I have tried finding the articles outside SOTI and couldn't find any solution.
Hi all, During a routine check, I found that the new version is present on only 7% of the devices in the fleet. Does anyone know what could be the cause? Could anyone else confirm that this update seems "random"? Antivirus Version 2.0.1023 vs 2.4.1095
How do I change the entity ID URL in the metadata file in IDP, because what appears is the hostname from the MobiControl server, not the MobiControl login URL?
Hello everyone, Is there a way to programmatically retrieve the SOTI Device ID from within an Android application running on the same device?
Hello all, I'm running into app crashes with one of our internal applications and one of the solutions our team thought up of was that HXLogger is the perpetrator. Thinking this, our idea is to try and disable HXLogger remotely, preferably using SOTI. I've tried several methods including scripts, profiles, and packages to no avail. HXLogger is turned on through Honeywell Enterprise Provisioner and I thought I turned it off there but that didn't work out either. We are running Android 12 on the Honeywell CT47's. Does anyone know how to disable HXLogger remotely or any place one can start?
Hi all According to my information, there is currently no way to have the "special permissions" (device admin, draw over other apps, access to notifications etc.) granted to the SOTI agent automatically after enrolling a device. So after enrolling, the user must manually grant the SOTI agent these special permissions. Is this correct so far or am I missing something? Assuming the above is correct, I want to implement the following enrollment process: the device is enrolled in SOTI and is placed in a staging group this group contains a profile that installs various required apps from Managed Google Play and sends a message to the device asking the user to grant the SOTI agent all requested (special) permissions. as soon as the special permissions were granted by the user, I want to relocate the device to a different group. And this brings me to you: can anyone tell me how I can detect if the special permissions were granted to the SOTI agent? Either by running a script on the device or by any other (easier) means? I was playing around with compliance policies and trying to figure out a way to detect if the special permissions were granted (so I'd flag the device as non-compliant as long as the permissions were not granted) but I couldn't find a way to do this. I assume I need a script that runs on the device to check if the permissions were granted and then writes this information to an INI-file that I can then use as a custom data to check and move the device accordingly. But I have no idea how to write a script that checks these permissions. Does anyone know? (Once I know how to determine if the permissions were granted via script, I think I'll be able to figure out how to write this output to an INI-file and then use it as a custom data - it's just the actual check of the permissions that is causing me issues.) Is that the best way to reach this goal? Or are there other options that you'd recommend? Thanks in advance!- Jake
Hello! I encountered the following issue: the SOTI agent does not start after installation on macOS. The device is using basic profiles "Allow SOTI MobiControl agent in background", "App Catalog for macOS", and "Remote Control for macOS", installed on the SOTI server. In the MC.log on the macOS device, I see the following: 2025/04/30 15:16:12 (1f561c840) Ini: Remove profile 1 "/" 2025/04/30 15:16:12 (1f561c840) Ini: Remove profile 1 "/" 2025/04/30 15:16:12 (1f561c840) Ini: Remove profile 1 "/" 2025/04/30 15:16:12 (1f561c840) Ini: Remove profile 1 "/" 2025/04/30 15:16:12 (1f561c840) Ini: Remove profile 1 "/" 2025/04/30 15:16:12 (1f561c840) Ini: Remove profile 1 "/" 2025/04/30 15:16:12 (1f561c840) Ini: Remove profile 1 "/" 2025/04/30 15:16:12 (1f561c840) Ini: Remove profile 1 "/" 2025/04/30 15:16:12 (1f561c840) Ini: Remove profile 1 "/" 2025/04/30 15:16:12 (1f561c840) Ini: Remove profile 1 "/" 2025/04/30 15:16:12 (1f561c840) Sec: Initializing certificate Creation 2025/04/30 15:16:12 (1f561c840) Sec: Deleting certificate from keychain 2025/04/30 15:16:13 (1f561c840) Sec: Error saving Private key to Keychain: -25300 2025/04/30 15:16:13 (16dbeb000) Ini: Remove profile 1 "/" 2025/04/30 15:16:15 (1f561c840) Agent Start...(CustomBuildInfoString: (null)) 2025/04/30 15:16:15 (16dbeb000) ContentMgmtMgr: This is probably a case of upgrading Old Agent to a newer Version. Hi, we have over 2000 devices but 500 are refusing to update Google Chrome. We have tracked the issue down to the fact that something has pulled the default browser to something else meaning that Chrome needs to be re-enabled in the Playstore (as per screen below) before It will update itself Connecting to each phone manually and clicking "Enable" makes the updates flow again but I don't fancy doing that on 50 phones. Any thoughts on how this coulkd be automated ???
Hi, Has anyone else noticed that it is no longer possible, within such a policy, to allow uploads only to %root%?
Hi, What's the DCOM protocol for? First if we have for e.g one device enroled in SOTI V15.5 correctly ( enrolment OK, remote OK) in local area. Then the protocol DCOM is disable between MCC and the device because MCC and the device aren't in the same area.Which impact ? does the device run well ? remote etc. Thanks Regards,
As the title says, I am unable to delete a device from the console, every time I try to delete the device in question, I get a banner that says, "Error sending delete action to device", the system logs show it as a "Business Logic Error"
We have Zebra TC21's running Android 13. One of the requests from our business team is that the keyboard be configured to not use the suggestion strip, and have the number keys there instead. This is very simple if you have the phone. Keyboard Setting => Text Correction => Show Suggestions (off). I cannot however find a way to do that through SOTI. Anyone done this before?
