Hi all, We have few of the CAT S41 device in house. These devices have still physical buttons instead of the digital ones now days. This is a problem when I want to remotely control the device. I have no buttons, so I can't escape from the kiosk mode by pressing the triangel button a long time. Any advice on how to solve this or a workaround.
Hi, Im migrating devices to new server and thought i could add stage now as a additional backup if need to ask user to scan something, but dont want to just allow access to stage now willy nilly as i dont have certificate for using stage now barcodes.I thought I could add script that before opening asks to enter pin. I can create Java script for that, but as far as I know it cant be added in lockdown icon. Would it be possible to place it in cmd file like legacy script or how to add java script in lockdown icon?
When I went to install the .pkkg file on a device I received and error "A provisioning failure has occurred" Anyone know what that means and how to get around this
I have a enterprise full of Samsung Tab A (2019) which i want to create a standard image for these. I have managed to deploy the programs i want through Managed Store, I have deleted some programs that i don't want using App Control. Now my question is that the apps i have installed don't seem to create a shortcut but only sit in the apps screen when you swipe up.is there a setting im missing in the store ? Is there a script i can use to make these shortcuts if not ? Device: Samsung TAB A (2019)Soti Agent Ver: 14.5.5.1023

Hi, we test new script "import_contacts_vcf" is good idea but we have some suggestions: before we use cgy.rgy.xpi with Contacts.vcf located in downloads folder and works very well, but in my org we have 2 types of separated contacts. This contacts stored on "Phone contact folder". On the one hand we have GAL contacts, we take this from MS Graph APIs and make a .vcf with all data, this file is sync to Downloads folder on every device (file sync rule) On the other hand we have individual driver contact (one .vcf by driver restored from old device). The problem is: In the future when we need to update GAL list on every device, need to delete manually all contacts and import this 2 .vcf with cgy.rgy.xpi or import_contacts_vcf. (GAL vcf and driver vcf) and if driver creates new contacts this dissapear. With import_contacts_vcf $varFolder 0 import all contacts from vcf but if you have contacts then duplicate. With import_contacts_vcf $varFolder 1 this delete all contacts (driver contacts imported with cgy.rgy.xpi too) and then create all contacts from .vcf This contacts stored on "Device contact folder" Is possible to have an export_contacts_vcf from "Phone contact folder" before execute import_contacts_vcf $varFolder 1? to delete all and import GAL updated and import driver contacts My temporally solution is: import_contacts_vcf %sdcard%/Download/EncodedContacts.vcf 1 > this delete all and create update GAL import_contacts_vcf %sdcard%/Download/Contacts.vcf 0 > this only add driver contacts with this if any driver creates new contacts post migration to new devices they don't have this contact because 1st command delete all

Hi I've installed an application named "Citybon" via apk. What does this application do? It basically let you scan QR-codes to validate coupons. As soon as we scan the QR-code we get an error message... "Type-Error: Network request failed". Is there any way to see if someting is being blocked? I'm not able to see anything in the 'LOG' tab. We've checked our firewall and everything went through. Thank you Best regards TORFS
Hello, We are trying to enroll Samsung Galaxy Xcover -devices to SOTI, but have run into problems. I'll try to explain all of our situations as well as possible, but apologies if I forget something. Anyway, the devices run on Android 11, while out SOTI client is running version 15.2. SHA-2 is enabled. First, I have tried enrolling with Android classic Mobicontrol. I found one from SOTI site, that should work. Non-ELM was seemingly not supported anymore, so I tried with ELM enabled device. There is a small problem with it, because our production network for SOTI clients do not have access to public network. In order for me complete the enrolling, I have to switch WLAN networks to a more public one during it. I was able to do this once, but subsequent enrolls fail upon completion and unenroll themselves. After that I have to do enterprise data reset in order to try enrolling again. I decided to try using the more universal Google Mobicontrol afterwards. The enrollment succeeds, but the devices do not support remote control and always install a work profile. I got some guidance from our seller, that I should enroll the device during the initial bootup, by using the camera to read a QR-code from Mobicontrol stage program. That worked on a Zebra device we have, but on Samsung device I ran into different problems. Because our production environment do not have access to Google play, I must do the initial installation on a different network, so the device gan download the Mobicontrol app. After that, the device starts to enroll, but for some reason I am unable to change settings during the installation. On Zebra device I am able to open Android during enrolling (Zebra runs on Android 8), but on Samsung I can't back out to Android during enrollment, meaning I am unable to change to production network. Is this because of a different Android version? If anyone can give me some hints about how should I proceed with enrollment, I would be very thankful.

I am trying to remove built in applications like Samsung store and other Samsung apps. Also trying to remove some stuff that i don't need. Also is there a way to make home shortcuts from apps already existing on the device? Device: Samsung Tab A ( 2019)SOTI agent version: 14.5.5.1023
I have managed to file sync the picture local and got it to apply via "Send Script" but the image is stretched. I have tried matching the resolutions but still don't have any change.Device: Samsung Tab A (2019)Soti agent: 14.5.5.1023
Hi Community! I have a support case raised with SOTI on this, but thought I would reach out to the community to see if anyone else has experienced this issue so far. We have a wifi payload assigned to our devices via a profile that applies a number of wifi profiles to the devices for the various SSIDs that we have broadcasting around our sites. We also have a DHCP MAC filter applied at our sites. More recent versions of Android have MAC Randomisation functionality and in recent versions (Android 11 etc), it is enabled by default. MAC Randomisation is not suitable in our environment, due to the DHCP MAC Filter. We therefore turn this off for our Corporate SSIDs (not via MobiControl) to allow the devices to seamlessly connect to wifi via the DHCP MAC Filter. The issue we are now facing, is that Android 11 devices on the latest security patches (Details below) have Random MAC turned back on every time the device is rebooted. Random MAC is only turned back on for wifi profiles that we enforce via MobiControl payload. Any SSIDs (Known networks) on the device that are manually entered (not via MobiControl), do not have Random MAC turned on after reboot. This appears to be a bug perhaps, but not sure how to try and remediate against this. Currently, we are having to tell users of these affected devices, not to reboot them. Make: Samsung Model: Various MobiControl version: 15.0.2.1049 Agent version: Samsung ELM 14.5.5.1023/14.4.3.1074 Android OS: Android 11 Knox version: 3.7.1 Knox API level: 34 Android Security Patch June 2021 Devices on previous OS versions and older versions of Knox are not affected.
