I am adding an Application Catalog Rule for Google Chrome and in the Advanced tab I am configuring the Home Page and a managed book mark. It works without issue. I also have a Profile Configuration Payload for Webfilter - The web filter blocks * (all sites) and allows the end user URL only. Depending on which element gets assigned last is what works. It appears the two cancle each other out. For example if Chrome is updated by Google Play the settings work but then as soon as the web filter is applied the home page and managed bookmark are gone but the web filter works. If the web filter is applied first, it works great and all sites are blocked but as soon as google play applies the chrome with config the web filter stops working and you can brows anywhere.
Hi, let me outline the situation in our company. We use the SCEP device template with serialnumber as identifier. See attached: screen 1. We use Android Enterprise "Fully Managed Devices" with Samsung Galaxy S9 (Android 10). We use Managed Google Play and push CISCO AnyConnect with managed configuration on the device. In managed configuration we set “KeyChain certificate alias” to %SERIALNUM% Expected behaviour: To import the device certificate in AnyConnect Actual behaviour: The certificate can’t be imported. Reason: Maybe a wrong implementation of SOTI? CISCO describes the functionality and how it should work here: Managed Configuration for AnyConnect for Android - Cisco The device certificate doesn’t have the serialnumber as identifier. That means the certificate as serialnumber won’t be found. See attached: screen3. What can we do so that the certificate will be imported automatically in CISCO AnyConnect? This might not make sense. The devices we are going to deploy will not be easily physically accessible once they are out in the field. Is it possible to update the MC agent remotely? If so, how is it done? Since we plan on setting up the devices in Kiosk mode, will I have to unlock them all first before I do an upgrade? Is it necessary to upgrade the agent each time there is a new version?
We have a Samsung device when we enroll to our cloud solution we see it in the console but the device shows the above. I have tried to run the script request_appops_permission BIND_NOTIFICATION_LISTENER_SERVICE we get the error Custom log (Notification Access Permission was revoked) the Agent version is 14.4.1 and we are using 15.1 cloud online. We can see the device doesnt show the mobicontrol in the special apps on the device at all and for some reason we cannot accept the notifications it pops up on the device with this error so we cannot get past the screen

Hi, my company plans to move from MobiControl Cloud 14.1 to 15.2. We have 250 Android Plus devices: Zebra TC56 running Android v6.0.1 with agent version 13.5 Samsung SM-G390F running Android v7.0 with agent version 13.5 What are the steps to make sure that the transition runs smoothly? Do we need to upgrade the devices agent too? Do we need to upgrade the devices firmware? Do we need to re-enroll the devices? I should note that we anyway plan to upgrade the devices firmware soon, but I see that as a separate project. Thanks in advance for your help and best regards Henry
Will be there something like a general "configure device settings" soltuion from Soti? I mean something in the MDM where as much as possible settings can be defined from mdm without using scripts or something like that. And i don't mean the setting if the user can change it or not. I read so often that scripts don't work for several devices/manufacturers and got the problem today on lenovo tablets too. For example: Setting screen timeout, screensaver,... and i know there have been more i had a look at in the past. Isn't that possible to be set it from MDM?
Where is the corresponding documentation to embed iframes in the management console? Google doc makes it sound easy: Support app management | Android Management API | Google Developers I essentially want to do what I saw in this post from earlier this year where Slack has configuration options that can be set in Soti: Pre configuring server URL for MSCA application (soti.net) We have a custom application that I think I've written in a way to use a managed configuration, I just haven't been able to test it because I can't figure out how where to configure the configuration in Soti.
Hi! We have an app through soti surf, but sometimes it has bugs, which could be fixed by clearing the cache. However it would be much easier if everytime the surf app would be opened, the cache would clear itself just like the cookies. Is there any way to do this? Unfortunately disabling the cache is not an option, because the app that we use needs it. Thanks!
We have an installation in OnPremise and in Offline, the license activation is ok. But when creating an enrollment rule, the enrollment id is not generated why? Can we generate the Enrollment ID differently?
I downloaded soti surf from soti download page and then uploaded to server added package to profile where it installed on the devices within that profile Can I keep Soti from uninstalling Surf if I move the device to another profile that doesn't have the surf package added? I guess is what I'm looking for is to have surf installed and make sure it doesn't uninstall because our users require that surf be installed Note: on version 11 of soti there was a deployment rule with option: Uninstall contents upon rule deletion: I use to set that to No and when I moved the device to another group it didn't uninstall the package
In a Zebra Device when trying to get remote control we get error "Error: Ths session has been closed. Please try again. Error Code :1000" Same time in mobile terminal we get werror that "mobicontrol keeps stopping" Device Type: Zebra TC21 Android Enterprise agent Version 14.4.1.1064
We currently run different Android OS versions on Samsung tablets at a customer site and the guys figured out how to use the split-screen function, while we were under the impression the device was locked down so that they only can access our application. How do we lock-down the split-screen functionality in SOTI MobiControl?
