Hello, We are currently testing some Firmware update OTA. The FOTA is working fine on one of our devices. Now, we would like to target all the ~2000 devices that are currently enrolled on our server. --------------- MC version : 14.3.3.1111 Device Manufacturer : Coppernic Device Model : COne2 Management Type : Work Managed Device AE Agent Version : 14.4.1.1064 --------------- I tested the following script : writeprivateprofstring SystemUpdatePolicy 1apply SystemUpdatePolicy You can find the documentation here No error message in the device logs but the script does not work. Does the script look OK to you? Is there any need for additional elevation like WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS for writesecuresetting? Is there maybe any other way to process? We have a number of Samsung A40 devcies all enrolled on soti as android enterprise - Work managed devcies all using outlook mail client for email. Hoever we are unable to sync phone mumbers from the users emal accounts. On a non enrolled device the user has a sync contacts option from within the contacts applicationa and this will pull over the required numbers. But on the soti enrolled devcies this option is missing? and I cant seem to find the option for allowing/disabling the functionality.
Hello everybody, My customers is working on a project in which the device they use is an iPad (including new and old models), they only use an iPad, not an Android tablet.They want to display iPads in different departments, each department will use the same software but log in with different accounts (internal accounts of the software they design). Of course, these devices will work continuously, the screen always displays a live wallpaper (or list), when the user touches the device screen, the system will automatically run an application pre-configured by your manager on that device.I think the way that works they are planning to implement is quite similar to Lockdown mode on Android devices. However, I have never managed any iOS device on SOTI MobiControl, I wonder if anyone has implemented and stable the model that I just mentioned?Sorry my english isn't very good.Thank you very much!
Not sure if this question has been raised before and I have verbally discussed with SOTI support in the past. In version 13.4, there was a dashboard section that dynamically allowed you to click on the graph and load the guns or area of interest into view whether it was last connected time, storage status, etc. Another feature I would love to see return is a Days Offline Column that gave a Bird's Eye View instead of only date last connected. Last but not least, the dashboard in v14 and higher should be sizeable. If I need to enlarge the device column due to fair to poor vision, the dashboard should not enlarge so big whereas only 1 and a half sections out of 5 or more sections are visible. In other words it would be nice if there was a zoom feature in SOTI vs using zoom in Chrome. The dashboard and device column should have separate zoom controls instead of none at all. other than this, I am appreciating the new look and feel. Thanks for letting me share.
I have created a whitelist for restrict which domains the user may access and it has worked pretty well. But I could not include a entry for allowing the end user to be able to access a google form. Hi All, We have updated to Mobicontrol 15.1 and we have run in to some strange issues, At the moment we can't delete folders in Mobicontrol, the Delete button is visible, but when we press it nothing happens, We can create folders and rename them. just not delete them. I'm also missing the possibility to move devices from one folder to another, in our older version 13.4 we could just drag and drop. But this isn't possible anymore either. is there a new way in the upgraded version 15.1 I have tried with following browsers Microsoft edge 86.0.622.56 Internet Explorer 11.1518 Chrome 86.0.4240 Firefox 81.0.1
Hi I need to disable Chrome so that updates are uninstalled on XCover 4 but MobiControl will not let me (Message saying "this action is disabled by MobiControl") I have tried removing from managed app catalog, blacklisting, afw_prevent_uninstall com.android.chrome disable. All to no avail. What else can I try? Once it's done I need to enable it again.
I have a problem with the Soti MobiControl webconsole New devices are not displayed, but rules and profiles get the devicesWhen I move a device to another folder, the device remains in the old folder in Web console, and rules and profiles are dragged from new folders. What is the problem here?

hello, we use MC 14.5.4 and have a big problem since 3 weeks with our Zebra Win-Mobile devices, Android and all other devices are not affected. All working WinMobile devices are online, but if i reset a device and move it to a folder, it goes offline after a short time and doesn't come online anymore. The funny thing is, when i change the device name in the Soti Agent on the device, it comes back online, changes the device name on MC and then goes offline again. I suspected the certificates, but they were not changed. The only change was a MC update, from 14.4 to 14.5 TLS 1.0 1.1 and 1.2 is also aktive on both deployment servers I hope someone can help me..
