Hello, A few days ago I upgraded to 14.4.0 and since the update I am now unable to see location history for our mobile phones. It allows you to select a period in which to view however then you ok soti goes back to the map but provides no data. We are using Samsung Mobile Phones Any suggestions on how to resolve this ?
Hi i know you can apply updates to a device by to first transfer the firmware files to the device via a Package or a File Sync Rule. then use the script "install_system_update /sdcard/YOURUPDATE.zip" However for my Samsung A40 android devices i am unable to find the downloads for the individual Android Security Updates The Samsung site does a job job talking about the updates etc here https://security.samsungmobile.com/securityUpdate.smsb but then dont give a location. I know Samsung offer a service to control updates to devices which is chargable approx $10 per device, so this is a costly way of managing them. Any one have any ideas where i can get them? Thanks

Hello, I am pretty new to the Soti platform so perhaps this idea does not work. I would like to place a couple of devices in a device group staging where they reside until someone needs a hand scanner with a specific app. In case the scanner is needed, I would like to scan a barcode with the MobiControl stage and the device gets relocated to the appropriate device group for this app. The devices a Datalogic windows (CE, WEC70) so I must prepare them with the Soti Agent and the Stage Agent once to bring them in the staging device group. Any ideas how this can be done ? Thanks Chris
Hi, We would like to know if Soti is capable of creating Exchange Profiles using ‘Modern Authentication’ When you manual configure a new Exchange Profile in your IOS device (settings à accounts à NEW account à Excange) you need to enter an e-mail adres and description. IOS will then redirect you to the authentication provider as configured (this could be an ADFS server). When configuring IOS Exchange using above procedure you are using ‘Modern Authentication’ When configuring an Exhange Profile using a Soti Profile you are basically configuring the profile using ‘Basic Authentication’. When using basic authentication you cannot use the additional security features provided by Microsoft or on-premise, like MFA. At this moment we are implementing DUO MFA which requires the use of ‘Modern Authentication’. All phones deployed with a SOTI Exchange Profile do not work unless we remove the SOTI profile and create the profile as described with the Modern Authentication. https://help.duo.com/s/article/4419?language=en_US Please advise. Thank you. Erik

Hi I'm file syncing a VCF file to Samsung XCover 4 devices and using sendintent -a "intent:file:///sdcard/contacts.vcf#Intent;action=android.intent.action.VIEW;type=text/x-vcard;end" It works but requires user interaction to save the file. Is there a flag that can be set in order for it to be silently loaded so we don't rely on the user to press Save? Thanks Eddie

Hey guys, I am running a test environment with the newest version (14.4.0.4857) of mobicontrol. The main reason for trying the new version are the enhanced options for profile schedule actions. I created a simple profile which contains a whitelist for soti surf only. the profiel is also configuredfor android plus devices. Then at the assignment i added the option "restrict profile deployment...." and added an schedule entry like "Weekday - 14:30-17:00".After the assignment my devices get the profil informations but remain with the status"pending install". When they entering the defined time zone the devices remain with the status "pending install". About the devices:Im using three different devices -> Samsung Galaxy Tab A (SM-P580), Huawei Mate20 lite (SNE-LX1),Huawei M5 lite (BAH2-L09). All three devices are configured as normal android plus devices and NOT asandroid enterprse. all of them getting the "pending install" status. Am i configuring something wrong? Or did i forgot one step to get the time schedule work? Thanks for the help!
