SOTI MC 13.4.0.4822 Zebra TC77HL - Agent Version 13.7.3 Build 1045 Android Updated to Android 8.1.0 When I start the Settingsmanager on the TC77 Device I receive following Message: "The application has not been configured yet. Please try again later or contact yout IT Administrator for further information." On the SOTI.NET WebSite there is a description for "Configuring the Settings Manager App Using an XML Configuration File" With the Shell on the device I chage to the folder 1:\data\data\net.soti.mobicontrol.androidwork\app_exposed\ now I have to use a Script to apply the configuration "Use the following script command to apply the Settings Manager configurations to the device: sendinfo net.soti.settingsmanager.RECEIVE_COMMAND import_config </CONFIG_FILE_NAME> . " My Settingsmanager.xml is on %sdcard% What is the correct command? What is the correct Path. Because I created a FILE Sync Rule to push the XML in the folder. 1:\data\data\net.soti.mobicontrol.androidwork\app_exposed\ But still not working.
If we create a rule in the application catalog. The user will see the application on the android device in the list of available, but must install it by click on the app. I can not find an option like force install. Is there any way to force the application to install without user action? Thx Patrick
One of my supervisors in the field has reported that workers are getting past the lockdown kiosk by constantly hitting the recent apps button on the device. He claims that they have been able to get into areas that allow them to make phone calls and send text messages. I have been able to duplication the problem partially. When "pounding recent apps button" I have gotten an app that was in the background to stay in the foreground. While I am still skeptical about the functions they have reported getting into, I am still researching. If the Kiosk can be bypassed this easily, then it is not much good. Thoughts? If Attributes are assigned as opposed retrieved from from the devie, how come does the device have to check-in in order for the attribute values to show up in the Device Grid? I have a number of "offline" devices that I want to assign attributes to and then be able to report off of those attributes. The Attribute property is visible when I look at the device level but the value in the grid of devices is "unknown". Devices: Android Enterprise Server Version 14.1.2 Agent: 13.6.0.1662
Hi Everyone, We just recently started rolling out iPhone for our organization. Currently testing our first device. We have the Apple business program account setup, device assigned, enrolled via the link; had another issue whereby I had to skip the initial remote management after factory reset. The issue at present is the app App Catalog opens in Safari and the link doesn't work. The VPP apps that I have setup as Mandatory does install correctly, both MobiControl and Waze app were installed automatically. The preview shows up fine but the App Catalog doesn't work. please see below. thanks
Dear SOTI Community, Is the process describe here it's still available : https://discussions.soti.net/thread/automatically-import-contacts-from-a-vcf-file/ If yes, I would like to get the contact_import.apk that is mentioned. Wher can I get it. If there is another type of process to import contact, I'll be pleased to hear about this as well. Current SOTI version used : 13.4.0.5290 OS : Android 7 Cheers, Victor

Hi, I'm trying to enroll W10 tablets with certificates enrollment. I'm familiar with the process as I did it several times already, but this time, it won't get through. I did everything by the book, generated all the needed certificates, prepared the mobicontrol server, and generated the WICD package for the tablets, but when looking at the DSE log, I see this : [2019-06-03 13:30:32.171] ERROR [] (90): Enrollment failure: Client Info is missing User Agent.[2019-06-03 13:30:32.171] ERROR [] (90): ***************************************** Exception: The operation has failed. *****************************************[InvalidOperationException: Enrollment state is incorrect. Hi all, SOTI version : 13.3.0.3965 TC57 : Android 8.1 I need to be able to install an application by the file sync rule. Hello Guys, has anyone encountered a Bug where you have to enter the Enrollment PIN exactly 2 Times? When i start the Agent i get a prompt for password, i then need to enable keyboard ( only numberfield on CN51). After that ill type in the PIN and i tested this multiple times, so PIN was 1000% correct, but after entering screen goes back to the "Enther Enrollment PIN". Entering the PIN again is then succesful.. Agent(A+): 13.6.0.1045 MobiVersion: 14.2.2.1170 Thanks in Advance.
Hi, I'm locking down a Samsung Active Tab 2 with the Andorid+ SOTI agent. Its running SOTI Surf in single app mode and I would like users to be able to change certain settings from the status bar but not others. I'm able to disable the settings I don't want user to turn on with feature control, but I cant find a way to allow users to change the brightness and rotation settings while at the same time not allowing them to turn off the wifi. Is this possible? Thanks
Hi! We are using device certificates along with a Wi-Fi configuration for authenticating at WPA2 enterprise Wi-Fi. Due to changes in our PKI environment all of our devices have to change their MobiControl certificate template and ask for a new certificate at our PKI servers. How many devices at once can be handled by MobiControl for certificate renewal? Unfortunately we are running in massive problems: - Waiting endlessly for certificate renewal - Log entries on deployment servers are full of entries like follows: *************************************************************************************************************** Exception: Unable to get certificate as maximum wait time expired before another thread completed request. ***************************************************************************************************************[InvalidOperationException: Unable to get certificate as maximum wait time expired before another thread completed request.] at Soti.MobiControl.Core.BusinessLogic.CertificateManager.GetCertificate(String deviceId, Int32 templateId, Int32 index, CertificateInfo& certificateInfo) at Soti.MobiControl.DeploymentServerExtensions.CertificateManagerProxy.GetCertificateByTemplateId(String deviceId, Int32 templateId, Int32 index, Int32& certificateId) ************************************************************************************************************** ### 2019-05-31 18:21:00.154 ERROR [197]: GetCertificateByTemplateId called with template id : 2 and device id : 358022073792535 ### 2019-05-31 18:21:06.138 ERROR [47]: GetCertificateByTemplateId called with template id : 2 and device id : 358022070661972 ### 2019-05-31 18:21:10.638 ERROR [137]: GetCertificateByTemplateId called with template id : 2 and device id : 352960069590254 Do we have a problem with MobiControl or maybe with the PKI infrastructure behind?
Is there a way to block certain sites on Chrome via Mobi Control? Soti Surf is not an option for us. I have tried using feature control as well as firewall in the profile setup to no avail.
Is there anyway to stop the lockdown screen exiting all apps on reconnecting to the SOTI server? Our devices (TC75) are out on the road, and the users are using an app, which when the device reconnects to the server after losing signal, lockdown closes/hides the open apps and returns the user to the lockdown home screen. This is a pain for the users. I've seen this happen while on remote control, be using the app. the device goes offline and when it reconnects I see the lockdown, and the app has to be reopened - normally remembers where the user was, but sometimes closes the app completely. Thanks for any suggestions. Gary
