Occasionally, a couple of our T56s and T57s will ask for a Google account to use Google Maps even after they have been successfully able to use the maps for months at a time. Our only method of fixing these have been to have them factory reset but have seen the same ones come back some time later to have the same issue. Is there a fix for this that we are unaware of? I assume it is an enrollment issue as I always thought that it pulls the Google account from the enrollment.

Has anyone else had problems with MobiControl not getting rid of expired certificates? I have a subset of devices that are using a device level cert assigned through a template to the CA (that my Admin setup) where the expired certificate does not get removed from the device. This then cause problems on several levels: 1. VPN does not use the correct cert 2. Unable to remove the Cert through the Console. 3. If I revoke the NetMotion configuration profile, the configuration gets uninstalled, but the cert does not uninstall, now this profile is stuck in a Removing Status. The only way that I have been able to clean up the device is delete it and re-enroll it which is not an acceptable solution as most of my devices are remote around the world. MobiControl Console: 14.1.2.1937 Agent: 14.4.4.1051 Device: Zebra TC75x / TC77 OS: Android 8.1 Management Mode: Android Enterprise Anybody have any thought? This has been happening on about 4% of my devices. I have opened a ticket with support, but they have not responded yet. Thanks, Jim
We are currently using Zebra MC93 in Lockdown Mode with Zebra Enterprisebrowser. As the Zebra MC93 have a Hardware Keyboard we don't need the onscreen Keyboard and would like to disable it.The integrated Gboard has the option to disable but this doesn't stay disabled after a Reboot or Battery change. Is there any way to disable it from SOTI side?I already tried this script i found in a different Forum-Post but it didn't help...writesecuresetting -sec show_ime_with_hard_keyboard 0
Hi all, i set up Zebra FOTA in our environment including the additional apps (mandatory; claim device; no Token set(?)). How can i now start the update?
Pretty new to SOTI and I am struggling to find a concise step-by-step, super basic guide for updating the Zebra/Android OS through SOTI Mobicontrol portal. Im running Zebra MC930B Android Scanners that are over a year out of date and having issues.
Hello Guys, I have a little problem with Android devices with Oreo and above. I need access to the folder /sdcard/usr/enterprise. Do you have any ideas how can I copy or transfer a file into this direction? I have no access in a direct way. Is there any way to transfer this file or getting access to this direction? Would be a pleasure if you can solve my problem :)
Agent 14.4.3 Build 1074Mobicontrol: 15.2.1.1094Device: TC700HSince the last update of the agent we are running in a few issues- random device reboots- randomly disconnecting the agent and reconnecting what forces apps to close. This behaviour causes delays in picking because of the reboots. Is this already reported/is there a fix available
I would like to Upgrade my enrolled devices with SOTI from Android 7.1.2 to Android 8.1.0 I downloaded the follow files. Full image version: 02-32-04.00 LifeGuard update14 version: ATLAS_DELTA_UPDATE_02-32-04.00-OG-U14-STD How can I manage a zero touch OS update? I need a Work Managed Device with Device Owner enrollment type, because the Remote Control and the default apps are necessary. I think with Android 8 I have to use Enterprise Agent, so if the upgrade done I don't know what gonna be hapen with original Android Classic OEM agent. I'm afraid the device will no longer be available via SOTI. My enrolled device, environment parameters: Zebra MC3300 Android 7.1.2 - FPU_ATLAS_02-07-08.00-NG-U00-STD Enrollment type: Android + MC Web Console version: 15.2.4 MC agent version: GoogleMobicontrol1441_1064 Thanks in advance.
Hello, has anyone problems with FileSync Rules after Upgrading to MC 15.3 ? I have already in two installations the issue that the AE Agent goes immediately offline if there is a filesync rule targeting the device. The FileSync Rule was already existing and working in MC 15.2.4 (transfering OSUpdates to Zebra Android Devices) Agent Versions tested: 14.4.3 and 14.4.4Devices: Zebra WT6000 (Android 7.1) and Zebra MC33 (Android 8.1) Devices connects with Server and immediatly closes the connection, and this is all couple of seconds. As soon as the FileSync Rule is disabled, the device agent connects and stays connected. greetingsMartin
Hey Guys, Can someone tell me the script to downgrade a MC93 from Android 10 to Android 8.1. The .zip files is already placed on the device. I need it for every Zebra device which is usable with Android 8.1 and Android 10. Thanks for your help! Looking forward to some answers :)
I'm trying to set the device-name in Android itself with some sort of a script we can send. I thought using the name format in Rules would also change the devicename in Android but this doesn't seem to be the case on TC26 with Android 10.It only changes the name that shows in Soti Mobicontrol portal itself. See image (sorry in Dutch) but it says "Device name":
Hi Everyone, I am trying to add an item to the lockdown to launch into the settings>app>storage screen on a Zebra device, TC75x. However, every time I try to run identify_activity, it is showing me: Current activity name: com.android.settings/.SubSettings. That is too generic for the lockdown to navigate to the correct location. All of my devices are in the field so I was wondering if anyone has previously done this and had the package name already. If not, do you know of a script that would clear the cache instead of the data? I have only seen the wipeapplication script. Enrollment Method: Enterprise Model: TC75X OS: 8.1.0 Patch Level: 2019-02-01
So I am trying to setup our device enrollments on an FTP server. Part of the Enrollment is the JSON file that holds the Enrollment ID. With something like the Agent file I can select to use and external source. I store the Agent on an FTP server and enter "ftp-p://USERNAME:PASSWORD@ftp.domain.com:21/Agents/GoogleMobiControl1442_1039.apk" in the external source. I do the same thing with the .bin file for the deployment package. This works great and I love it. Now when I get to the JSON file it only lets me select a file from my PC, I do not get a selection for an external source. So does anyone know how I can do this or a better way of getting the enrollment ID to the device? Thanks!
Hi All, We are trying to deploy a datawedge profile (dwprofile_MSCA.db) using a package in SOTI on a Zebra MC330x device running Android 10. Deploying it through a package has worked successfully and the dwprofile_MSCA.db file has succesfully imported to the correct folder: /enterprise/device/settings/datawedge/autoimport/dwprofile_MSCA.db Once the file has been pushed to the folder location above using SOTI, we are seeing no change within the Datawedge app in the device. We have tried to reboot as well but not seeing any changes once the device is back online. We have had to click the options menu in datawedge (top right buttons) and manually import the profile from the autoimport folder on each of the devices so far. After doing this we can see the MSCA profile within the menu and it is working fine. I have also tried a script that I found online to push the dwprofile_MSCA.db file once it is on the device but had no joy. The script was the one given on the Zebra website, __chmod 777 /enterprise/device/settings/datawedge/autoimport/dwprofile_MSCA.db Again after executing the script, no changes are seen in the datawedge app until I manually import it. Please advise on the path forward to automate this as we only have another few weeks before we are going to be rolling out the remainder of the devices and this method of manually having to import in the datawedge application is not feasible for such a large amount of devices. Kind Regards, Shane
