Hello, I want to clear the cache of the google chrome and Soti Surf application at several times during the day which are not always at the same time, so I can't use scheduled tasks. I do not wish to use lockdown. Here are the commands: wipeapplication net.soti.surfwipeapplication com.android.chromestart net.soti.surf Is it possible to create an application with package studio or the user will be able to launch an application (APK) to launch this script? HeysanWe have seen one of our clients, also using Soti MobiControl, have added buttons to the lockdown screen. When they press the button, a new page with new buttons or apps opens up. If the press back, it goes back to the main page. Have anyone here had success adding subpages to the lockdown screen, that opens when you press a button on the screen or anything similar? We have a client who could benefit from such a solution. On the main screen they have a standard lockdown profile from the standard template. They have 9 apps but would like a button to access a manuals page, where we add links to open pdfs on the device directly. (using the file command)We don't allow them access to the file manager on the device, which btw is a Zebra TC26.
I have critical application updates that depend on a config setting stored in an xml file. The vendor generated xml file doesn't always store the needed field on the same line, and I am constantly having to create new custom data queries to avoid deploying to the wrong workstations.
Hello folks, We have a population of users in production that is asking us to disable the lockscreen on their tablets. But i don't know any parameters in features control or lockdown that is able to touch at these parameters. Do you have an idea on how to do that ?
I have a Zebra ET45. I'm using SOTI Version: 15.2.3.1033. I've enrolled it with enterprise profile. For other devices it is working. But for ET45, profiles are not getting installed. Enrolled device I can see but I'm not able to figure out why Mangement Type is Unknown. What could be wrong? Any idea? It doesn't even say that profile installation failed etc.
All of a sudden, the profiles list is empty in the soti webconsole. Colleagues in the same group can still see them. I've already tried to reset the console (thought there could be some hidden filter) but still nothing. The funny thing is, I've created the profiles and now suddenly I' can't (or may not) see them anymore. Checked my permissions => still admin. Anyone an idea? Greetings,Karel.
Running Samsung tablet with Android 12 and the kiosk lockdown is not getting installed from the Profile in the Configurations. All permissions for SOTI are set to Allow on the tablet. All other items in the Profile (wifi, wallpapers, authentication, etc) are installed and working correctly. What else needs to be set? Is this OS blocking the LockDown?
Hello, This might not be a problem directly related to SOTI Mobicontrol, but hopefully anyone else have expirenced a similar issue before and might have any thoughts on how to solve it. We using Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 tablets enrolled into SOTI Mobicontrol (15.5). We are running these tablets in lockdown mode where we have two different powerpoint files (ppsx files) that are stored locally on the tablet and opens via the File:// option . The problem is that once we end the presentation, we end up inside the Power point application, and we need to close down Power Point before the lockdown homepage is visible again. So my question is, are there any tips & tricks that can be made so that after i end my power point presentation it takes me directly to the lockdown page instead of the Power Point application. Alll ideas or tips are highly appreciated.
Device settings is automatically uninstalled from the device in a group. As it is a inbuilt application, how it will get uninstall once we publishing profile. Its been one month, still no solution from SOTI experts!!
i can't seem to get the Remote control on our Motorola devices i checked to install the Motorola Plugin but when i try to install the plugin on the devices i get the message that there's nothing to install.
Hi, I was trying to access mobicontrol and was having issues so I went to the server and opened up mobicontrol administration utility. On launch, it asked for the databse connection information including username/password. I verified all that and test connection failed with "access denied". I made sure the sql server database was up(SQL 2016) and also verified I could log in with the sotimobilesql usenrmae and password. Anything else I can check? Is there a log where I can see more details about the access denied message?
Greetings everyone, I am currently working on a Lockdown template and trying to get the name of my devices there. If I use the macro %PERSONALIZED_DEVICE_NAME% it will only output "TC25" in our case (Zebra TC25 devices). I've seen that it would be possible to send a script to each phone to change the Personalized Device name, but since we rename our devices quite a few times, I don't want to as much automated as possible. If there is no macro for this, what would be the best approach to show a personalized String on each device? Thanks
Hi everyone, hope you are well. Just wanted to check if someone knows if SOTI MobileControl supports Single Sing On with a Microsoft 365 (AzureAD) account, not to the applications inside macOS, but to the computer login needed for the macOS itself. Like in the case of getting a new Mac - the device would be already pre-enrolled with SOTI via Business Manager, then the user would simply need their Microsoft 365 login details to SSO to their Microsoft 365 account and that same account to be used to create a local computer account on the Mac, instead of having two separate accounts. I have installed the Mobi agent and our retail app from the store via App Store Licence Management and an app policy. That works fine and the apps install. i now pushed a feature control profile and the 2 apps disappear. There is also a wifi and certificate setup in the profile but i dont think they are causing it. Has anyone had this before and know what feature control might be doing this?
