Hi, I've got a Zebra MC3300ax devices with the Version 11-20-18.00-RG-U00-STD-HEL-04 that i am trying to update up to 14-32-12.00-UG-U03-STD-HEL-04 Version, i have copied the file with File sync to a set location and once it is done i have sent the script (Type Legacy) : install_system_update /sdcard/update/HE_FULL_UPDATE_14-32-12.00-UG-U03-STD-HEL-04.zip to which i get the log error Custom log (Mx OTA failed: Any idea what could be the cause of this? i have tried moving the file to diffrent locations and even diffrent update files to slightly lower versions but it always give the same error. Hello,I’m experiencing an issue while enrolling a Zebra MC33 Android 8 Non-GMS device into SOTI. Although I enroll the device as Work Managed, it gets added as a Work Profile instead. I’m unable to manage the device, and it does not register in Work Managed mode as expected.I have tried all the steps listed below, but the issue still persists. Hi everyone, we’re currently experiencing an issue in SOTI MobiControl:When adding custom attributes as columns in a personalized view and exporting the data as CSV, only the main headings appear – the actual values of the custom attributes are missing. This behavior occurs for all custom attributes and all users. Has anyone else encountered this issue or found a possible solution?If not, we’ll forward the case to SOTI Support. Hi, Is there a way to run a script locally on the device at boot or startup? More specifically, I would like to run a script that toggles Data Roaming on (if it is not already enabled) every time the device starts up. This serves as a safeguard to ensure that Data Roaming is always enabled, as our app requires it to maintain an internet connection. The script should run locally on the device without needing an internet connection, similar to the boot-up procedure that allows our kiosk app to start automatically on device reboot. We are using Samsung Android devices with OS versions 13, 14, and 15. Thanks for your help in advance, Stefan
I'm trying to setup JDE E1 Web in SOTI Surf and some of the links don't function whether the app in launched in lockdown or not. However, when I remote into the device using the web based remote control tool the links work.
We use Honeywell CT47 scanners with our company app installed on them. When they scan something that is on a list, a sound should be played (something like “good read”). If something is not on the list, then a different sound should be played (bad read). All sounds are at full volume. We have kiosk mode enabled and the settings are rolled out via UEM Connect. Notifications are enabled in kiosk mode. Where can I adjust the settings so that the app sounds are played? Currently, only the scanner sound is played. It works on a normal cell phone. Hey Guys,we are using over 200 Mde Devices Zebra TC22 with Android14, i must change the general Scan Settings via Datawedge and i've create a profil and will export this to all other devices. With Zebra StageNow i got only errors. I try it via Filesync rule from Sotimobicontrol and try to copy the file to the "/enterprise/device/settings/datawedge/autoimport/" path, but i got only a error messages "filesync failed". Has Soti no acces to this folder,i know that we got with android 14 more and more problems with acces to paths. has anyone an idea to get a mass deployment from the datawedge profile to this folder?Filesync from Zebra StageNow makes an error and the Autoimport StageNow Profil get also an error... Hello, I am working on something that requires me to download a file, read the file contents (3 Lines of data) and report back to the Console as Custom Data. Currently I do not see a way within the Javascript documentation to do this without having to do a mixed script with Legacy (httpget) and Javascript. I did see a previous discussion post from two years ago but I figured I would ask again as some time has passed. I would prefer to find a way to get this in one script with JavaScript. Currently we are on SOTI 2024.1 and use Zebra TC52/TC53E devices. How I want the script to work Pulls the file down -> Read the lines and extract a Store number -> Take that value and insert it into an XML file that lives on the device -> Custom Data reports that value on Check In/Sync Thanks!
Hello Dear SOTI Users, I have two questions for you: 1️⃣ Is it possible to stop a running application on a device via a script from the console?I tried the kill and stop packagename commands, but they didn’t work.Is there a correct method or an alternative command for this? 2️⃣ There are about 1,300 Samsung devices registered in the console, and kiosk mode is not enabled on them.We’ve allowed users to uninstall certain apps (in some cases, this is necessary).However, when users uninstall the app, they often don’t reinstall it afterward.Is there any setting or mechanism in MobiControl that can automatically check which apps should be installed on the device and reinstall any missing ones? I know this is a bit of an unusual request, but maybe someone has faced a similar scenario 😊 Thank you!
Hi everyone, 👋 I’m currently working on optimizing our setup in SOTI MobiControl and was wondering if there’s a way to assign or limit custom attributes to specific device groups only. The reason behind this is that we only need certain attributes for certain groups, and having all attributes visible for every device quickly becomes confusing and cluttered in the console. Is there any way to manage visibility or scope of custom attributes per group — or perhaps a best practice to keep things organized when working with many attributes? Hi, as per the subject: We are using version 2024.1.2.1046 of Mobicontrol.I created a profile to add a pre-configured corporate Wi-Fi network to be assigned to two classes of devices. In the first class, the user cannot see the Wi-Fi settings; the device connects exclusively to the corporate Wi-Fi network. In the second class, the user can connect the device to any Wi-Fi network, but the corporate network is also listed and cannot be modified or viewed in terms of parameters. On Samsung Knox devices running Android versions older than 14, I have no issues using OEMConfig → Samsung.On newer devices, however, the profile is not applied. I install the latest "Knox Service Plugin" on all devices, currently version 1.5.37 (25.09). I still find it strange that under Profiles → Configurations → Connectivity → Wi-Fi, there is no "Skip Mac Randomization" option like in the Samsung plugin. How can I resolve this issue?
Hi everyone, We’re currently in an advanced phase of our SOTI project and are working on implementing dynamic URLs. The goal is to avoid creating a separate profile for each device and instead use custom attributes to achieve a more flexible setup. During my research, I came across and implemented the following documentation:👉 Dynamic URLs in SOTI Surf The StoreNumber example perfectly matches our use case.However, in our case, the custom attribute does not seem to resolve properly in SOTI Surf.
