Now the owner live and i need to remove the Passkey. The problem is that the device is connectet to the correct network but didnt show up online in the Mobicontrol console (2024.1.2). Enrolled as Enterprise device. Any idea ? Kind regards Günter
This is on A13 devices, i do not have this issue on A11 devices. I have an app that connects to a paried BT printer. The nearby permissions is being "blocked by admin" but i have another app that i push in the same way that that permisison is allowed. does the developer need to requrest the BT related permissions in a different way for SOTI to auto approve?
We are doing a proof of concept on managing our engineering laptops that live on our manufacturing networks, which are air gapped. Currently all of the install files are on a file share insdide the network and installed from there. The question that has come up, is it possible to use the App Catalouge from SOTI to manage them. Not all devcies will need the same software so giving them the choice on what to install would be nice. I only see one option that is not msi(x).
I would appreciate your support regarding the following topics: We are using Galaxy XCover Pro devices running Android 13. The devices support dual SIM, but only one SIM card is inserted. Is it possible to determine through SOTI which SIM slot (SIM 1 or SIM 2) the active SIM card is using? Can we monitor the monthly mobile data usage of the devices via SOTI? Is it possible to enable Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) on the SOTI MobiControl login screen for administrator access?
We are adding Windows 10 laptops, the device name in SOTI matches the Active Directory rules, however the name on the device remains the default. I cannot find anywhere in Mobicontrol where i can see what the device name is on the computer, am I missing it somewhere. How can I change the device name on the machine during enrollment to match the generated device name in Mobicontrol? Thanks.
Hi all.Need some advice and perhaps looking at this completely incorrectly. Our on-prem instance of Mobicontrol is running version 2024.1.0.1052.Samsung Tablets ranging from Android 9, through to Android 14.Android agents 2024.0.1 through to 2025.1.3, enrolled as Android Classic. It's to my understanding that the legacy Content Library policies were depracated and that the UI on newer versions of the server software could no longer access that element of the system, in favour of Soti Hub.I am trying to experiment whether a transition to Soti Hub would impact our field workers, because they are contractors they do not have access to any cloud based corporate accounts as its not a requirement nor allowed, yet when I install Soti Hub and try to run it on a test device, only an error message is displayed with a Login button to say to contact an Administrator. I am entirely unsure why I assume its because we are still using the original Content Library policy and that there is a missing configuration somewhere (such as where the documents are located, I did add a configuration to the profile along with the package but kept its default settings). My questions are as follows: Can we upload documentation via Hub but have the users continue to access the newly uploaded documents via the Content Library section of the agent on the device? If not, is there any way we can set up hub to not require the user login with credentials? Can the documents be uploaded to the server they're sat on, in the same way as the deprecated Content Library policy? Without the need for the documents to sit on the cloud. If they can be, how would one go about this? As currently on a test device, I just get an error message and the Hub is inaccessible and I have no way to test beyond this to see how any of this can be achieved without disrupting our field workers. There is really no clear indication about this deprecation of the Content Library policy, and what we would like to avoid when updating is creating further problems for ourselves. We have hundreds of documents being accessed daily and due to the nature of this and the number of users, we'd like to keep the system this way. Any assistance regarding this is appreciated as it feels unless I have missed it somewhere that any instructions to transition isn't well documented. Thanks
Hello everyone, we're currently facing a frustrating issue and hope someone here might have a solution. We use Microsoft PowerApps on our rugged handhelds and scanners to capture photos of damaged goods. The app works perfectly on Zebra and Samsung devices, but on Keyence and Blackview, the camera cannot be accessed within PowerApps. Some important context: All devices are enrolled in SOTI MobiControl with the same profile and policies The camera function is enabled in the Feature Control settings Other camera apps (like Camera for Android) work without any issues on all devices If we unenroll the devices from SOTI, PowerApps can use the camera without problems This leads us to believe the issue might be related to OEM-specific implementation or how SOTI handles PowerApps permissions per manufacturer. We have already invested countless hours trying to troubleshoot and resolve this issue, without success. 👉 Has anyone experienced a similar issue?👉 Is there any known solution or workaround to enable PowerApps camera access for Keyence or Blackview devices? Any ideas or guidance would be highly appreciated. Thank you in advance!
We’re interested in knowing if it’s possible to enforce the ‘Improve Location Accuracy’ option through SOTI on TC77. I tried selecting the Location Accuracy as ‘High Accuracy’ in the Feature Control Payload, but it didn’t work. Is there any additional configuration I need to do? The SOTI version is v15.6.
Good morning. We are running Soti MobiControl 20204.1.2.1046 I am wondering if anyone has experienced the same problem ive got, when i got back from vacation and logged into Soti MobiControl only 2 of our profiles are visible in the Profilelist. Ive tried to use Chrome, FireFox and Edge - to check if browser differs the view - but they dont. We have quite a few profiles running in our instance, and what i find weird is that when reinstalling any device - or installing a new one it grabs the right profile (even if i cant see it). As you can see i have no active filters. When i check a newly installed device, it both removes and installs new profiles as i move the device from group to group - but i cant see or edit the profiles Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction, as i would like to adjust some of my profiles for our devices.
Hello, Is it possible to make the installation of a profile conditional on the presence of an application on a device? I want the profile to be installed only if the application that is deployed from an ‘application policy’ is installed on the device. Is this possible? Thank you in advance for your help.
Hi, Could you please advise if there is a script to remotely force PDA's in lockdown mode for a prompt to update Android System WebView application? Alternatively PDA's could be unlocked, but I would need to force the update prompt remotely, rather than user going into Play Store and manually click (we have 600+ devices across UK). The reason for this question is that while we need to update some application on our PDA's, we found that it required relatively new version of Android System WebView. We are using mostly Samsung devices (A02, A04, A12) but also some old Motorola's (G8 and G9) on Work Managed type of enrollment. Our MC control is 2024.1.2.1046 If you will any ideas which could point me into the right direction, that will be appreciated. Kind regards, Norbert
How can I disable the random MAC feature when enrolling the Zebra MC33X Android 11 device to SOTI for the first time?I have to manually connect to Wi-Fi, and I want to bypass this issue.
Hello everyone, we are currently managing several Android Enterprise devices from different OEMs, including Zebra, Samsung, and Blackview. We are looking for a way to generate a report or dashboard in SOTI MobiControl that shows: The current Android version on each device Whether an Android OS update is available If so, which version the update would bring the device to Unfortunately, we have not yet found a reliable method within the MobiControl console to pull this information across all devices and brands. Does anyone know how to implement this kind of update status reporting in SOTI MobiControl? Is there perhaps a way using Custom Data, Advanced Search, or any scripted solution via StageNow, OEMConfig, or SOTI Hub? Any tips or examples would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
Hi to all, we starting with my company to use soti on Windows modern PC. For the enroll we just install the Provisioning Package. What we need is modify the name of the various pc on the Mobicontrol view but not modify the name internally to the Windows OS.... we need just to organize better the various device on our Soti tenant. With the old OS of Windows and Windows Classic agent we use a script that read a txt file and modiy the name just on the device view. How can we do this usning Windows Modern agent ? Now with Windows Classic we are using this script: set newname=TXT://C:\Fortech\Utility\Soti\DeviceName.txt?LN=1 writeprivateprofstring device devicename "%newname%" sleep 2
