Hi all, we have the problem, that we need to change an ini file and put in an number that is related to the device name. We use Zebra TC21 and MC33xx with Android 10 an 11. For the translation from device name into the number we would download an csv file with both values and read the values. Most of the script works, at the moment we are stuck in downloading a file. On the web are a lot of descriptions, but i did not find one that works. Is someone out there who has an idea to that? Best regardsJürgen
Does anyone know how to create and distribute a custom Device Agent / Plugin? I didn't find anything in the documentation (https://www.soti.net/mc/help/v15.6/en/console/devices/managing/enrollment/androidplus/download_android_plugin.html) regarding custom development or requirements to be listed as a Plugin provider.
I have an open ticket with SOTI, but has anyone else noticed any issues with the most recent Android Enterprise Agent release (15.3.3 build 1069)? Since that agent update in early March, I can no longer distribute internal certificates from our outbound CLA to Zebra handhelds running Android 11 devices (profile stuck on Pending). I was able to narrow down the issue to the Certificate Templates in the Certificates profile settings. And then today I just noticed that the MAC address is no longer being displayed on the MC console (showing as unknown). If the device is truly not sending the MAC address, then this is going to be a problem because we rely on it for internal Wi-Fi authentication. So far, I've been able to replicate on factory reset TC52, TC53, and TC58 devices.

Hey all, I am Having an issue with Remote Control On android Enterprise. I am using samsung SM-T307U Tablets. The agent version is 15.3.3.1069. The tablets are on android 11, I have reverted a few to go back to android 10 and same issue. The device do not respond to input on the bottom half of the screen in remote control. If i rotate the screen in remote control, I can interact with the bottom half I was unable to before. The device are on the newest security update.
Hi all, I am trying to enroll my samsung device but I run into some issues. From factory reset the device is setup with the afw#mobicontrol hashtag. When trying to enroll the device with an enrollment ID I get the error "Provisioning failed. Please contact your administrator". I read something about the use of Knox Mobile Enrollment, but is this mandatory? Thank you! Kind regards,

Hello, we use many Lenovo P11 (Android 11) tablets in our organization. Is there a way to basically disable the landscape mode? We use a lock screen and it always gets messed up when users turn the tablet to landscape mode and back again.... Thanks in advance for any helpful tips!
Hi, We have a large quantity of Honeywell CK65's right now running on Android Enterprise OS version 11. I am currently trying to figure out how to set the screen timeout from 1 minute to 3 minutes without having to manually go into each device putting it into admin mode and going into the device settings to change it in the display settings. Is there a way to get this done all on Soti Mobicontrol efficiently. Previous attempts have been: 1.Entering the script Writesecuresetting –sys screen_off_timeout 180000 in a file sync rule. 2.Entering the script Writesecuresetting –sys screen_off_timeout 180000 in a legacy script on the device itself Much appreciated for any help -Gabriel

Hi We have an in-house application which needs to have access to config files. I have tired putting the files in the sdcard/config/rf/ But on android 11 our application cant see this folder. Android 10 and below is ok. Is it the application that needs to do something, soti, combination of the two or some zebra xml? They are enrolled as DO in soti and latest plugin is installed.

I am trying to create and configure Android Work Managed profile and IOS profile for specific groups. And configure the App Policies for each device type. it should be as follows:- Group1: Only 1 specific link is allowed & Apps Authorised are (MS Teams,OneDrive, M365 Apps, Camera) Group2: Only authorized apps are allowed (MS Teams,OneDrive, M365 Apps, Camera) a) Is there a way to block all URLs and allow only 1 specific URL? Like using domains or '*'? b) What would be the best practice to allow only the apps suggested above and block everything else? c) If i set System Update Policy / Installation Policy to Automatic in Profiles, will all devices get updates automatically or should i manually check for device updates from SOTI Console? d) what would be the best practice to achieve this setup/configuration? for e.g using system update policy, web filter, feature control, application run control..and app policy
Hi,I am trying to Script SOTI Surf to be used for the sole purpose of downloading a firmware update zip file to the device. I need to do this without any input from the user and with reliable download manager.Is it possible to send Surf a URL via a script, something like sendinfo net.soti.action.surf URL http://www.google.com I'd need the file to downloaded overnight when the device isn't being used and for Surf to be closed afterwards. So far I've whitelisted Surf in my Kiosk, without a launch icon (our users don't normally have access to a browser, so Surf itself is in kiosk mode also) and have set the URL as the homepage. It can be launched by a start net.soti.surf script but it shows a plain white, confusing, screen whilst the download is occuring in the background - a bad user experience.
