We want to use Samsung Tab Active 3 to allow the employees to clock in/out from the workspace entrance using face recognition. I created a new profile to make the tablet open the URL in the kiosk mode but the camera doesn't open when we click on it. Can somebody please help me to change the camera's permession? I enrolled my personal Android 12 phone in soti mobicontrol using work profile. I need to fetch Mac address of the device but when pull devices data using the API and also in dashboard mac addresses fiels are coming as blank/unknown. Any Solution to this? Currently we are trialing TC57X devices. We are planning to use these for drivers that need to use Google Maps however I have been told that the screen times out after 30 minutes which means the driver needs to pull over and unlock the device to continue to use maps. I understand a device timing out when an app is not launched however I would assume that if maps is in use a device would stay unlocked? 30 minutes is the max limit within settings. I'm working on creating a custom phone/dialer app.However, I'm having troubles with granting phone role to my app a.k.a. changing the default app for phone calls. Some tech details: We are using MobiControl Version: 15.6.5.1018 Support devices with android 10+. My devices are Zebra and most of them are model TC57x. Devices are in lockdown, showing kiosk dashboard. We use Android devices in our environment, and prevent system-wide access with SOTI's Lockdown menu. Currently we have Lockdown type as Avtivity Suppression, because we need to allow the expansion of status bar. Some of our users have also asked if recents-button can be enabled, but it's only available on Native-side, and that side does not have option for expanded status bar. Is there any way to enable both ot these at once using SOTI Lockdown, or are we out of options?
We received a Zebra MC3300 with this program, it is no longer needed on the device. How to remove it? When deleting it says: This device is managed by your organization.
Hi, Is managed config in enterprise App policy (not Google Play) working fine for you all? I have latest Mobicontrol (2024.0.1.1020) angents, fully managed Zebra TC53 with latest Android 13 and as delivering apps from Google Play is hit an miss and I don't want to wait hours till it get installed in the device I've tried to distribute OEMConfig app as enterprise. It was delivered quite fast but without managed config ?! Is anyone else using it ?

We have an issue with a certain app and with the Samsung A13 with android 13 and android 14, the developers of the app can't bring us a solution, the only respond is security reasons about it. can anyone have the same issue?
Hello, we currently use a managed enterprise account for installing apps from the Google Play Store on Android devices. Some customers have a need for paid apps, but we're unable to release them via the Soti app policy. Do you have any experience with paid apps and what would be the best way to handle it? Thank you
Hi, hopefully someone can help me out here...We are using multiple Panasonic Handhelds FZ-N1 for our logistic departments which have different Android OS. Starting from 6.0.1 till 11. We push several profiles to the older android devices, but some of them we need to be able to push also to the android 11 devices... Unfortunately that part doesn't work ! I found several solutions already... Like pushing the following script :request_appops_permission MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE But this doesn't seem to do anything ? Anyone who can help us out, and make our job al whole lot easier ? :-) thx in advance
HeyI try set time Time and date settings and TimeZoneI have Zebra TC51 with Android 8.1, MX 10.3.0.29 and TC52 A11, MX 13.2.0.3 Try using Group - Advanced configuration - Time Synchronization I see it working on TC52 A11, but not on TC51 A8.1 Then my thought was to control it with Zebra OEM config, but can't find the right syntax documentation.Is it UTC, GMT, Town name ? As of MobiControl 2024.0, I saw that SOTI added OEMConfig management through Profiles. Can anyone clearly explain the pros & cons to this over an application policy using managed app configurations? One reason might be due to some specific network or Google Play restrictions (outlined here), but other than that, what practical benefits do I have as someone that doesn't have those restrictions? I also noticed that SOTI is pushing the legacy Zebra OEMConfig app when deploying the profile, so I've got more questions that documentation doesn't appear to discuss. They do "recommend" profiles over policies, but don't explain why. (This seems to be a common theme in their documentation, a lack of detailed reasoning and impact). How does SOTI determine which app generation (new vs legacy, Zebra) and which app version to deploy? Does SOTI ever update the OEMConfig app or not? How often and under what conditions? Do we have any controls over it? Do the same rules of managing OEMConfig still apply (i.e. tattooing settings to a device) or is there some other functionality to be had? Thanks!
We have observed an issue where in if we have client website which has M365 device compliance check enabled. When we try to access the website on SOTI enterprise android tablet using any browser eg. SOTI Surf then it says the device is not compliant. The device in question is SOTI Mobicontrol enrolled Enterprise device which is has been marked as compliant in Microsoft Azure AAD via M365 device registration process. The only way we can get this working is by enabling browser access on Company Portal app which downloads a certificate onto device. Next time when user access website using the browser then user gets popup to select certificate and compliance works as expected. This is very time consuming and not efficient way to access WebApp which uses M365 device compliance check , does any one know better way without enabling browser access via Company portal ?
