    datawedge on android kitkat Solved

I need to reset datawedge version 6.4.18 on android kitkat to factory default but it doesn't have that option maybe a better question is I have a web page that we need to scan in username and password to access. on my zebra 9300 with android 10 and datawedge only thing I needed to add was profile0\basic data formatting, check send enter key so that it would scan our barcode and then sign in however on my mc9200 with kitkat and datawedge i've tried everything and can't get it to scan in username, tab down and scan in password, should be very simple but now that I've changed a lot of settings probably best to get back to default and relook at everything

    Web Clip for Android Solved

I'd like to be able to add a Chrome browser bookmark to the home screen of our Zebra devices. Soti Surf isn't an option as Chrome is required for the bookmarked website. We have it set as a bookmark but the users would like it added to their home screen. I have reviewed a few other articles about this issue but haven't found a solution other than switching to Soti Surf which isn't an option. https://discussions.soti.net/thread/chrome-url-shortcut-on-home-screen/ https://discussions.soti.net/thread/website-urls-on-home-screen/

Revert back to default wallpaper -Zebra TC75 devices (android plus)

Hi All, Is there a way using script to remove wallpaper file ? Ideally we don't want to unlock devices and manually revert back to default wallpaper. The devices are TC75's on LL and enrolled with Android Plus . We are running 15.1 version of Mobicontrol.  I have tried the below scripts however it almost seems as a system protected file "permission denied"  del "/data/data/com.android.settings/files/wallpaper" del "/data/system/users/0/*.*" Kind Regards  Walid

How to Open Android Settings to Unknown Source

There is an application which developer does not provide updated apk to us and even not publish it on Google Player. This app updates itself by download a new apk where the end user click on notify to install. Up to Android 8 it has worked fine, because we could set allowance to install from unknown source to all apk. The current Android request permission individually and all the time it is reinstalled, it looses its "unknown sources" permission. The devices are Android A10S running enterprise agent 14.4.4.1051 on a lock/kiosk screen. I have tried to work around by grant permission using afw commands as: enable_system_app app name afw_set_permission_grant_state app_name android.permission.REQUEST_INSTALL_PACKAGES allowafw_set_permission_grant_state app_name android.permission.INSTALL_PACKAGES allow afw_set_permission_grant_state app_name android.permission.RESTART_PACKAGES allow  Unfortunately, this scripts does grant the required permission. As the app open shortly the screen for granting permission and kiosk locks it back, I have tried to include the setting screen in the kiosk. I run identify command to grab the intent, but it looks as missing the fragment to properly open it. com.android.settings/.SubSettings I have seen some posts that uses such kind of solution I have tried, but added by the fragment as com.android.settings/.Settings$OverlaySettingsActivity Is there a list of fragments as including OverlaySettingsActivity which we may look to each one is the fragmented responsible for Unknown Sources ?

15.3 Problem with Filesync, Android Agent offline (OnPrem) Solved Locked

Hello, has anyone problems with FileSync Rules after Upgrading to MC 15.3 ? I have already in two installations the issue that the AE Agent goes immediately offline if there is a filesync rule targeting the device. The FileSync Rule was already existing and working in MC 15.2.4 (transfering OSUpdates to Zebra Android Devices) Agent Versions tested: 14.4.3 and 14.4.4Devices: Zebra WT6000 (Android 7.1) and Zebra MC33 (Android 8.1) Devices connects with Server and immediatly closes the connection, and this is all couple of seconds. As soon as the FileSync Rule is disabled, the device agent connects and stays connected. greetingsMartin

    Display Timeout occuring randomly

Hello, Our set up - Mobicontrol Enterprise, Agent Version: 14.4.4.1051, on Android OS for Galaxy A10e, A11, and A21. Issue: Display Timesout randomly. At the time of the screen display going unresponsive and goes black, mobicontrol's logs report device disconnected and then return connection once unlocked. Please note the phone locks when the screen times out during use of SOTI Surf, Email (Outlook), or any application. I've worked with the SOTI support team on this error since May. I have not found a resolution to this issue and it has affected every phone in production. Some fixes attempted: Go to group details - connection settings - set to max retry connection to 3600 s. Go to Authentication profile - select authetication policy - select user password policy - select maximum screen timeout to 99 Minutes Adjust mobicontrol settings manager to never. We've tried implementing all of these fixes in our current server and non of them have been reported as a working solution since the timeout error continues to occur. Please help as soon as possible. This is negatively affecting our employees. Thank you, Zahra

Android Enterprise - Corporate owned devices/Work profile

Hi all, I've read information from a previous post about AE Work Profiles, but I'm not sure if it applies to our context so I would need your feedback. https://discussions.soti.net/thread/android-enterprise-device-1/ We have a group of users that have Samsung S9 devices. These are corporate owned devices but can be used also as personal. We created a rule where those units will be ''Enroll fully managed with a work profile''. In this case, there's a Personal and Work container. When we wipe (with bypass factory reset protection) the device then re-enroll it, it ask us to enter the personal account of the user. That's were we don't understand, as there's already a Managed Google Play account in this rule, which should be mandatory to enter again into those corporate owned mobiles.  We use afw#mobicontrol in the initial steps and our platform version is 15.3

SOTI Mobicontrol Cloud Lockdown profile blocking Samsung Android Enterprise Phone app

I am trying to configure a Lockdown profile on MobiControlCloud version 15.1.2.1035, for a Samsung A20e (Android 10) that includes Launch://com.samsung.android.dialer as a home screen item. However when the profile is applied and the phone dialler appears on the screen, as I attempt to call the dialled number, nothing happens.  If I do not have the lockdown profile applied, I can make the phone call without issue. Am I missing something? This process worked on MobiControl 13.3.0.3851 and a Samsung A20e with Android 9 Cheers
