When using an older, static html lockdown template it is possible to display notifications as one of the menu items. https://www.soti.net/mc/help/v15.5/en/console/configurations/profiles/configurations/categories/restrictions/lockdown_notifications.html Are there any plans to bring this capability to the newer, dynamic templates?
Hi all, is there someone who can tell me if or how it's possible to sende javascript via the "sendscript" api call? Legacy script is working fine but i have a javascript which would be nice to do via api and scfript instead of the console. Ok, found it now myself, there's an parameter available named "ScriptType" which does the trick. @Soti, may i request fully API documentation regarding possible parameters for example the "/devices/{deviceId}/actions" Part (and maybe others too)? It's really bad doing trial and error.
Hi team, I'm trying to install MobiControl on a new clean server (w2019). The download file is "MobiControl1560Setup_1018_release". During the installation, I request to get SQL installed and enter the SA password. However every time I get this error: I have cleared the AppData\Local\Temp folder and check the logs... but I can't seem to find how to fix it. Not sure how many on here run the M365 compliance with SOTI but I wanted to see if you had seen this error come up when the user tries to reauth with Azure. This error is seen across different OS versions 9 to 12 and between different devices S8 to S10e to Tab S3. We have never run shared devices and don't plan to. I do have a case open however just wondering if anyone else is seeing this.
Hi evreyone, I've tried to rename some devices using custom attributes. My devices have 2 custom attributes : "ville" and "restaurant", with data set as text. I've tried to send this script in legacy mode : devrename "Device_%CustomAttr:ville%_%CustomAttr:restaurant% The device is well renamed but only the first custom attribute is used. Result : device_ville_ Is there a way to combine multiple custom attributes to rename the device ?
Hello Everyone We are on Mobicontrol 15.5.1 since few month. As always, I do my best to keep things working for our shops =) I saw that App Catalog becam App policies since 15.3 (if i'm correct) But when looking on devices, I see that there is still "Application Catalog Rules" Those are making echoes with the last App policie we made. Application Catalog is not possible to access anymore, so basically, how could i remove this one?! Thanks for your help
Since we started using SOTI MobiControl for our Honeywell EDA52 Devices, we have the problem that after the device has not been used for a while (about 1 hour) the scanner of the device does not work anymore. That is, when pressing the scanner button simply nothing happens.The only solution to fix this problem is to restart the device. If the device is used continuously, the problem does not exist. Only after a break does it happen that the scanner no longer works. Our devices run in lockdown mode with these settings: Using the lockdown type "Activity Suppression" is not an option, because there are simply too many functions enabled that should not be enabled.
Hello Everyone, I've nerver paid attention before, but today, I received notification about agent Update. And by checking it...it seems each of our Memor 10 is installed with "Android Entreprise" Generic Agent. Seems there is specific one for Datalogic Memor 10 , but this is not the on that was installed. As i got some trouble with connection, or switch to "user mode" constantly, I was wandering if it wouldn't be better to have the good vers. of the Agent on the device? How can i switch them? and also, why didn't it take the good one at first? maybe something i missed in settings? Thanks for your reply.

I wanted to add a custom attribute to an app policy under "advanced configuration" - managed app config - application configuration. Unfortunately, this does not work. Does this work at all, if so, what am I doing wrong?

Does anyone have a link to a Chrome APK that works for setting up an app policy? I'm trying to set up an Android Enterprise policy so that we can use a managed app configuration on Chrome. However, every APK I've found online either fails to upload, or when you try to switch on "enable managed app config" you click on the import button and nothing happens.
