    System-Update-Policy doesn't work Solved

    Hi, i add a new profile to disable the system-update on android devices. But it doens't work. The devices get an error and i don't know what it is, because it is not specified.

    Enrollment Failed

    Hi,When trying to add a device to soti it throws us this message: Enrollment failed. Please retry or contact your system AdmnistratorWe are using mobicontrol on version 2024, i am  trying to add a device on a work mannaged profileThis device was previously added to mobicontrol, but it was deleted in soti.I have been addding devices to mobi with work mannaged profile without any problemThe devices are only connected through WiFi

    Soti MobiControl Cloud experience ... ??

    Hi everyone, we are planning to migrate our Soti installation to the cloud, 20.000 + devices. Currently we have one MS server and 8 DP servers (4 DMZ / 4 internal). Has anyone done this before, what are your experiences with MobiControl in the cloud. Are there any restrictions? Thank you for your feedback Mark

    Inject a Device Identifier as HTTP Header from Managed Android Devices for F5 Firewall Access Control (using F5 Access app)

    Hi everyone, We are managing a fleet of Android devices (running android 11 and above) using SOTI MobiControl and are looking to enforce a security policy where only authorized devices can access a service exposed through our F5 firewall’s public IP address. The plan is to configure each device to send a unique identifier (such as Device ID, IMEI, or Serial Number) in a custom HTTP header with every request. The F5 will inspect this header and allow access only for devices with approved identifiers (using an iRule). We already had some iRules set up before Android 10 (Api level 29) when access to device Identifier was open.Is there any way to implement this? Thanks for the help.Kind Regards

    DB migration errors Solved

    Hello, I have migrated our SOTI Dbs (MobiControlDB, MobiControlDB_Archive, MobiControlDB_Signal, SotiAssist) from one dedicated DB-server to another DB-server. All on-prem.Old SQL: 2019New SQL: 2022 The problem now is that the "Mobicontrol Deployment Service" does not run properly. All other services are running smoothly. I can access the web console but I do not get any contact with any device. I have already ruled out any port errors. Everything works good again if I switch back to the old DB-server. Any help regarding this would be invaluable.

    custom attributes or custom data for assigning property/values to an application

    Hi, Is there any way via example custom attributes or custom data, to set 3 different values to an application?For example, the application (we install via MC) we have has 3 values that needs to be filled in at first start. One of the values is unique per device. Is there any way to automate this via SOTI MobiControl instead of manually having to enter this? The device is a Sunmi P2 Lite SE, Android Classic Thanks

    Preference changes not applying Solved

    Hello, I want to change my preference settings for remote control from plugin to web-based. When I change this setting and click save the settings don't change. Same goes for language too. Whenever I go back to the preferences the old settings are still in place.

    Web Console Admins not able to log back in after time out

    Hello all, I have On-Prem Version 2024.1.0.1052 currently. We are having issues where some of our admins will get kicked out of the Web Console Session due to time out and won't be allowed back in for a decent amount of time. Has anyone seen that? Any ideas to fix?

    Not able to open PDF files from within custom app in Lockdown

    Hi, I have read almost every thread/discussion for opening PDF files here. But I'm still not able to open PDF files from within our main custom app. When custom app .apk is installed on clean tablet (without SOTI), the app is able to download requested pdf from our server and when I try to open the file, pop-up is displayed offering to choose between two apps: Browser and Samsung notes. Then the file is dipslayed. When SOTI is installed, clicking on the downloaded file does not bring any responce. It does not matter if i'm in user or admin mode. Our profiles for these tablets have lockdown. The com.google.android.apps.pdfviewer is added (Launch://com.google.android.apps.pdfviewer) to the lockdown, and I'm able to open all .pdf files from Library. Also if I upload the same pdf files (the ones I download within the custom app) the same google pdf viewer is used when I try to open the files from Download folder in file manager and files are displayed. SO, the files are OK, I think the Lockdown configuration is OK. What is bugging me is that on clean tablet the app is offering to open the files with Browser or Samsung notes, not with the PDF viewer. Is it possible that the app is not programed right? That the click action is sending the wrong "message" to the Android OS? I don't know nothing about Android coding, so my questions are pure speculation... Or I really miss some in debth setting in Lockdown configuration? Our environment: Tablets: SAMSUNG-SM-T545, Android 11 Agent Version  15.0.1.1051 Self hosted SOTI mobicontrol v. 15.5.0.1021
