Hi all, We have a number of Zebra TC21 devices on a version 15 SOTI cloud all on same agent (14.4.4.1051). I have some devices that don't have the Remote Control. Even though these are the same devices, same build version etc. and the enrolment rule(s) are the same other than the device name and deployment target folders. Some have APIs: * RC Virtual Display, Work Managed Device, Android Zebra EMDK, Android Plus 1.6 * Zebra RC, Work Managed Device, Android Zebra EMDK * Remote View, Work Profile Any ideas why the differences, would have thought they would all have the same supported APIs, and therefore all have remote control. Thanks for any pointer. Gary

Hi I've recently beginning to get this error: It appears when I try to do the "Sync Apps" after I have added an app from managed google play I have tried rebooting the SOTI MDM server and that does not help. The version is 15.1.2.1035

Hi all!Any thoughts on possible causes for our devices not being able to login as a shared device with the following notification: Login/logout ability is currently unavailable. Please make sure your device has an active internet connection. We're using Azure AD for the accounts and the account seems to be accepted but the device stops at this notification. Internet connection is there as we are able to login to Azure AD.
Hi All, I have roughly 300 Zebra TC56 devices in the field that are using a particular APN for cellular connection. We need to move these devices to a new sim card which will use a different APN. The issue is when I put this sim card into a device the device will not select the new APN so the device has no data connection. The only way I can fix this is to manually change the default APN. These devices are spread all around the country so as you can imagine this is a big problem for us. We created a profile that pushes down the APN that is required however we are unable to activate this as the device would then go offline. These devices are fully locked down however I have tried testing with a device not enrolled and found the same issue. Run down on my testing; 1) I have taken a device out that is not enrolled in SOTI and put the old comms plan sim card in and that connected instantly to Telstra.wap as expected. 2) I switch off the device and place the new sim in (Telstra.internet) and boot the device. No connection. I check to see the device is still pointed to the Telstra.wap APN. 3) I then manually select Telstra.internet and that resolves the data connection problem but still needed a manual interaction to force it to the correct APN. Zebra TC56Android PlusOS 7.1.2 (Also happens on android 8)OEM 01-01-49.00-NG-U15-STDSOTI Version: 14.4.3.1153 Any help here would be greatly appreciated.
Will the WinMCKiosk.exe application be updated to support modern browsers like Chrome/Edge? We have a set of about 400 kiosk systems using the lockdown feature to open certain websites, but IE is no longer supported and these sites require a modern browser.
Even though all devices are under mobi control, and all conditions are being met for updating to take place. The apps with updates are not taking place. Have to dive into each phone and do them manually. SOTI is telling me it's Google Play Store or the devices themselves. Prior to moving to SOTI Mobicontrol we didn't have this issue. Why isn't this working properly? Any thoughts or help would be appreciated. Thanks, Bill
Hi everybody. We are evaluating the use of ZEBRA mobile printers with PAS server within MobiControl. I wonder, if somebody has experience with this setup, especially with an automatic enrollment of a bigger amount of printers. We don't want to attach each printer to a computer with USB to connect it to MobiControl with ZEBRA utilities. Is there another way to easily enroll these printers?
l.s. is there an way to set the wifi from Samsung Xcover Enterprise so that it wil only use 5Ghz Wifi instead also 2.4? (or vice versa..) (e.g. to switch of the 2.4. part...so that i will only act on 5ghz) We are in research if only the use off 5Ghz works beter for our environment. (+/- 240 device's) (we have to much Disconnect/Connected in the logs file (in our opinion)
l.s. I know that you can change the 12/AM/PM settings to 24H via the preferences, but when I build an report it still present as 12H AM/PM , how /where to change this? (we in The Netherlands think in 24 hours, except the UK of course :-)
I'm trying to set the device-name in Android itself with some sort of a script we can send. I thought using the name format in Rules would also change the devicename in Android but this doesn't seem to be the case on TC26 with Android 10.It only changes the name that shows in Soti Mobicontrol portal itself. See image (sorry in Dutch) but it says "Device name":
