Hello, we are using Kiosk mode on Zebra TC56 device with android 7.1.2 and Mobicontrol v. 13.5.1 and we have problem with changing default application for messaging (com.android.mms). We have our own app for text messaging and when we start it there is a message "Change SMS app? Use app xy instead of Messaging as you SMS app?". Problem is that this message dissappear immediately (probably security function of Kiosk mode?) and it is not possible to accept the change. When we turn off Kiosk mode as administrator and try to start our app from android enviroment mentioned message (Change SMS app?) doesn't dissappear and we can accept it. But it would be quite hard to do this manual change on about 2k devices in production eviroment. We tried to uncheck "Activity Suppression" in advanced Kiosk mode settings which resolved our current problem. But another problem arose. The new one is with bluetooth pairing. Window with pairing code is somewhere "under" Kiosk mode layer so it is not displayed and we have to turn off Kiosk mode again and check pairing window. Can someone help us with this issue? Hi I was looking to run MS Teams in a browser due to a missing feature in the Android app. However, it will only load if desktop mode is switched on in Chrome. Is it possible to launch a MobiControl lockdown shortcut and force on Chrome desktop mode? Thanks
Hello, I use afw#mobicontrol for enrollment on Samsung device with Entreprise Android and reactivate only few samsung App. I have a lot of new device to enroll, using the QR code of Stage programmer looked good but when i use a QR code i obtain a different result, the device keep all core app. There is a way for enrollment with QR code give same result than afw#mobicontrol ? Thanks.
Is there a way to send a script down to an Android device to force it to check-in? I tried "connect -f" but I can't really tell if it's doing anything, nothing logs as a device check-in. I would like to send a device check-in script as part of a post installation script in a package after a new software version is installed. This would allow to us to quickly see if the app version incremented successfully as well as some other items. Thanks
Hi everybody, I have MobiControl 15.2 installed on a Windows2016 server. I am receiving thew following error when opening the Manage Android and Plugins window from Global Settings: Failed to load manufacturers or no coimpatible agents found. Same error is displayed if I click OK on the error window and move to Plugins tab. Do you have any idea why I am receiving this? Thank you very much for your help in advance!
Hello all, my customer currently uses an on-premise SOTI MC server (15.1.1) in his internal network. In the future, he would like to use apps on his devices that require an internet connection (MS Teams or similar). Instead of opening the internal network for the communication, he would like to use the devices outside of the internal network and let them communicate with the SOTI MC server through the public Internet. What exactly must be observed in order to make the SOTI MC server available online? In my understanding, we need to do the following steps. - Open the network port of the server on port 5494 - Create an external DNS record for the server - Use an external certificate Are there any other aspects to observe? Feel free to correct my steps. Furthermore, if we managed to make the server extern available, how is the behavior of the enrolled devices? Am I able to switch the connection of enrolled devices from internal network to the internet with an automatic connection between the device and the MC server? Thank you in advance for your answer! Hi All, We are trying to deploy a datawedge profile (dwprofile_MSCA.db) using a package in SOTI on a Zebra MC330x device running Android 10. Deploying it through a package has worked successfully and the dwprofile_MSCA.db file has succesfully imported to the correct folder: /enterprise/device/settings/datawedge/autoimport/dwprofile_MSCA.db Once the file has been pushed to the folder location above using SOTI, we are seeing no change within the Datawedge app in the device. We have tried to reboot as well but not seeing any changes once the device is back online. We have had to click the options menu in datawedge (top right buttons) and manually import the profile from the autoimport folder on each of the devices so far. After doing this we can see the MSCA profile within the menu and it is working fine. I have also tried a script that I found online to push the dwprofile_MSCA.db file once it is on the device but had no joy. The script was the one given on the Zebra website, __chmod 777 /enterprise/device/settings/datawedge/autoimport/dwprofile_MSCA.db Again after executing the script, no changes are seen in the datawedge app until I manually import it. Please advise on the path forward to automate this as we only have another few weeks before we are going to be rolling out the remainder of the devices and this method of manually having to import in the datawedge application is not feasible for such a large amount of devices. Hi, We have problem that when we try to sync applications on from any enterprise binding we get 'Internal Server Error'. This happens everytime i try to sync approved applications. If i make new binding it will work for a while (aprox 1day), but stops working after a while. Any ideas how to solve this? We are running version 15.2.2.1080 Thanks in advance! /Jaakko

Hi All, We were trying to update the SOTI MobiControl on our server with version 15.1.1.1184, but it gives an error message at the beginning: The problem is that after installing .NET Framework 4.7.1, it still gives the same error. (If I try to install .NET again, it gives an error, that it's already installed, so Windows can see it). Have you met such an issue? Thank you in advance,Csaba
Hello,I want to uninstall SOTI MobiControl on some devices (Galaxy Tab A7), I don't want to have to factory reset those devices. Is there any way to uninstall SOTI MobiControl without losing installed apps, or current system configurations (wifi, bluetooth, font ...) on those devices?Many thanks!
