Hi everyone, I am asking myself, if Android devices (ZEBRA, Android 6+) are encrypted by default? The devices are secured by a password. If the devices are enrypted: Why is it possible to perform remote control via MobiControl? Can anyone explain it to me? :) Thank you very much! Simon
I had initially setup a personal email account that binded to our company name for a test a while back when learning android. since it's my personal account how would I go about changing or binding to another google email account can I just remove the binding and then bind to another account when I'm in google play under Apps is the Organization Information, should I delete from there and then go to Soti and delete the binding? two reasons I'm asking, 1) is because it's my personal email 2) when I deleted the binding from the soti global setting I noticed that when I went to enroll a new device it never went into "work managed device" it wanted to go in work profile which I didn't want, when I put the binding back it worked as desired I'm using stageNow which is on my android devices If I'm in soti mobicontrol and go to Android enterprise bindings and click on New, it takes me to google play and says "You have already signed up with this enterprise"
hello, we have some new zebra MC930B hand scanners and I need to get the mobi control agent on one of these for now. I don't want to login and download via the google play store because others in our dept will also need to install the soti agent on a few of these devices also. In short I need the "mobicontrol Stage" app download to install on these android devices so that I and others and get the soti agent installed and talking to our soti server Update: I can install the mobicontrol agent by scanning a barcode on soti's web site. Then I enroll and seems to work however I'm in remote view, I can't remote control now researching this
Hi All, Question how do i start a webbrowser with a link in it to the device.It would be nice, otherwise i need to config on every device the %DEVICENAME% manually in the weblink.For example: kill_application org.mozilla.firefox sendintent -a "http://xxxxxxxxxx=%DEVICENAME%#Intent;action=android.intent.action.VIEW;end" I try this on a Zebra TC51 but i think the command kill_application is not working. Hi, Could someone let me know what app the lockdown template opens in? I was looking at running some custom HTML and javascript (within <script>... </script>) but it doesn't seem to execute. I can run the code in the chrome browser on the mobile device (Samsung tablet) but would prefer to use the lockdown template so I can utilise the built-in functionality e.g, allowed apps, access to % attributes. Appreciate any thoughts. Thanks
Hi all, I tried to disable the keyboard in "Soti Surf" only it will disable also my scan function.We use the TC51 and Memor1 devices. I tested it now on a TC51 only. If i turn off the setting disabled keyboard in "Soti Surf" it works but than i get a full screen with a keyboard in it.
Hello, i am currently strugglging with the search service working on 15.2.3 using OpenJDK. Has anyone else had this problem? Before the Upgrad Search was working just fine.

Hello, There are some customers complaining to me about the wifi connection between devices, how can I collect data remotely and check directly on SOTI MobiControl without needing to operate the device directly, some information such as: network speed, remote device ping test (or similar) ...I only see items: Network RSSI, Network SSID, it did not help me much in checking the wifi connection between devices.Many thanks!

I am attempting to enroll a Windows 10 laptop onto our SOTI MobiControl server (running version 15.2) using LDAP authentication against our on-premise Active Directory. I have set up my rule to include the group with the most permissions in our AD for enrollment purposes I have confirmed that the domain user that I am using is a part of this group and possesses all the necessary permissions However, when on the laptop, I successfully join it to our domain, but nothing ever gets enrolled on the SOTI side. Could someone point me in the right direction for where to troubleshoot or even provide a solution for how to successfully join a laptop to a domain and SOTI simultaneously?
Hi forumers I have enrolled more than 300 Android 10 smartphone devices using "Skip google Account Addition during enrollment". Due to customer needs changes I need now to move to "Managed Google Account" for Android Management. Question : is it possible without the need to need to unenroll & reenroll all devices ? If yes how can it be done ? Script command? thx. steve
Dear All, we need to preconfigure Datawedge in order to send scanned information into an app. The manual way is the bellow: Go to DataWedge provided app Press on Profile0(default) Scroll until "Intent output" section is found Enable output via intent In intent action write com.euronav_app.ACTION Intent delivery must be set to "Broadcast intent I assume that this could be done with a commant like the bellow: sendintent -b "intent:#Intent;action=com.symbol.datawedge.api.ACTION;S.putExtra= com.euronav_app.ACTION;end" "com.euronav_app" is the application name. Hey Guys, actually we need some Android Activities to be accessable within the Kiosk-Mode. e.g. for PTP (Picture Transfer Mode on USB Connection) So far we set this activity (com.android.settings/.deviceinfo.UsbModeChooserActivity) at position 1 in our Lockdown-Configuration And in our Template, App #1 is hidden, so the User can't see any link for this activity. It has just to be accessable but not visible: Now I have to grant access to a few more activities. The Question now: Can I write the Launch:// Command directly inside the Lockdown-Template so I dont have to add all these activities to the lockdown Config ? I already tried to change <MCLink0> to Launch://com.android.settings/.deviceinfo.UsbModeChooserActivity but this is not working. Maybe I have to exclude some special characters ?!? Did anyone of you solve this problem already ? Many Thanks!
