Agent keeps pushing to uninstall application

We're just starting to work with Android Enterprise, have our first few devices enrolled. First on the block is a TC75x (Android 8) Android Enterprise - setup with Work Profile (DO) In setup/testing mode right now. Successfully deployed our application with a new profile/package, it shows up as installed, and runs, but there is an enforcement by (Work) MobiControl agent to remove it, the agent pops up with a Pending Action - Application Uninstallation is required. I've gone over settings, ran a few searches and haven't seen this specific behavior. Was hoping we could continue to use packages/profiles to manage the application until we get more DA devices moved over in the future and finally get the app setup in the managed google playstore. I've tried: Whitelisting it's container with appcontrol -w io.cordova.thenameofourapp Used afw set permissions to grant permissions, as well as prevent uninstall.  Checked the google admin console, can't manage the device management>app management from there due to it being managed by third party EMM provider. The ball is rolling to get our app on the managed google playstore. Should have the app signed rebuilt soon, so I can toss it in the Google play console - private apps. Hopefully it's something small & silly. Anybody else run into this?  Thank you!

Android Pie and EHS using MobiControl does not work

Hello, We are having issues configuring EHS on a TC52, running Android Pie and build 02-11-01.00-PG-U06 (with update 06), using MobiControl. TC52 are Android Enterprise enrolled using the afw#mobicontrol. It seem that somewhere access to the /Enterprise/usr folder is blocked when MobiControl is used. Settings made in enterpsiehomescreen.xml and wallpaper are not imported like on versions before Android Pie It is not possible to make an export (when APK is installed through MobiControl), see screenshots below:   We have pushed a logo and enterprisehomescreen.xml to the /enterprise/usr folder, but when accessing the files using the file browser on the device, the file logo.png cannot be opened. In example below the files are put in the root of the device, where the preview of the png file is there and wallpaper will open like it should.           Screenshots below are from the /enterprise/usr folder, where the preview of the png file is not there and the wallpaper cannot be opened.    Also files cannot be copied from and to /enterprise/usr folder: If we don’t connect the device to MobiControl and we install EHS manually it works fine, so is probably related to some permission setting in MobiControl. Does any one has any idea what can be the problem?

Is it possible to have multiple Add device Rules?

Hello, Our devices are organized in different groups, and we are using only one Add device rule. The authentication method of the users is based on Active Directory groups. I thought if i create different or additional Add device group (based on different AD group) the device would enroll in a different MC device group, but once i enter a user from that new group, i receive authentication error, as if the default add device rule is blocking all other rules. I don't know, if i can achieve was described above in MobiControl or  not. I precise, we have SOTI MobiControl version 13.2 with Generic Android agents installed. Thank you,

Why do some AE profiles show 'Pending Install' - 'Delivered' under Configurations/Profiles/Status versus 'Installed'?

Does 'Delivered' indicate that the profile has been installed on the device? This status seems to show up every so often even after revoking and re-installing the profile while the device is connected to a solid WiFi connection.

wpa2-eap WIFI configuration with password that will change

I'm looking into configuring some Datalogic Memor 10 handhelds for some folks that float from location to location. The devices need to have a lockdown screen as they are company owned and only for business purposes. These folks will use a wpa2-eap configuration using their Active Directory username and password. Every time their password changes they will need to change the stored password. Neither the SOTI Settings application nor action://CONFIGURE_WIFI allow for EAP configuration. I'm looking into directly using the built in Android WIFI settings but I can't get the intent to work right. I can launch com.android.settings and bring up that dialog, but if I try to use an intent for something like android.settings.WIFI_SETTINGS the action fails. I know I'm just missing something silly. Any thoughts? Any other thoughts on allowing a user to change their stored password on the device?

Application says "App installed from MobiControl" even after removing package

Hello, Sorry to post here again in such a short time but we are having lots of issues right now. We have open tickets with SOTI support as it is. It started with Google Gboard breaking on a lot of Android+ Zebra TC56 devices this past week, which led me to push out a SOTI package with the newest version of Gboard that fixed the crashing. (I extracted the apk from a device we had here, that I manually updated from play store). This was probably a bad fix but I didn't know what else to try since you can't force Google updates in a timely manner and no one was able to use the devices because of the crashing keyboard. This fixed the issue but NOW we have all our Zebras using an insane amount of data daily, nearly 500 MB per device in a few days which adds up quickly. The culprit is GBoard (listed in data usage on Android). I'm guessing Google is trying to auto update but since I have SOTI forcing the apk already, it can't. Here is my problem... I removed the Gboard package I pushed, and sent a SOTI uninstall script ("uninstall com.google.android.inputmethod.latin") followed by a reboot. This did not actually remove the application. Under Android Gboard settings it still says "App installed from MobiControl". This would probably be blocking Google auto updates. The only work around I can find is to go to Play Store (sign in first) and uninstall Gboard, then update it. My question is: is there a way to revoke MobiControl's ownership of this app somehow so it can return to be managed by Google Play? Or is there a better solution to this mess? I appreciate any and all responses. Thanks.

Change Primary Agent Address Solved Locked

I need to update the connection string for the primary agent address from IP to FQDN as the IP is going to change. I have already done so within the Admin Utility (and changed the IP to secondary) but now need to let the devices know as well.Is there any config file on the device, which I could update using a script or filesync? Or do the devices get the update automatically?
