Hi, I failed to configured email settings of iOS BYOD via Mobicontrol. The logs from Webconsole says 1. Profile "Email" failed to install, because all of its payloads cannot be installed.Anyone with same scenario? or should we say preconfiguration of email settings is only applicable to Supervised devices? Thanks!
Hello all, i'm beginner with soti mobicontrol, we have mobicontrol in version 13.3.0.3454 and we have +- 700 devices under android 6.0. we have a package who contains an apk who is installed on all devices. Now, we have a new version of the apk and of course we'd like to update all devices with this new apk (package). For to do that (testing), on 1 device i've created a new package with the new apk. on this package, i have created a script who run (pre script) a command for to uninstall the apk i have put this package into a new profile, and assign this new profile to my device. that's work fine but..i've notice and it's normal i have two profil on this device !!! profile 1 with the old package profile 2 with the new package i think my procedure isn't a good way ? My question is, how i can update all my device with a proper method ? Is it possible to find a good procedure or tell me how i can delete a profile with a command perhaps ? thanks for all Christophe
Is it possible to embed a video in the lockdown screen using something like <embed src="example.mpeg" autostart="false" height="30" width="144" />
Hello there; do you have any idea how I can upgrade the RC version on my devices? All devices are the same brand and model. In older versions, RC does not work.
My situation is as follows: 1. Installed AFW on a Nokia 8 running Android 8.1.0 2. Enrolled in Mobicontrol 3. Created Package with my APK and assigned to Profile 4. Assigned Profile to Devices - Install Success 4. Made an update to my App and created new APK 5. Removed old Package from Profile 6. Create new Package with new APK and assigned to Profile 7. Assigned Profile to Devices - Install Failed with IO Error Upon inspection it seems like Google Play Protect is preventing the app install. The only workaround is to manually go into settings on each phone and disable Google Play Protect. Once I do this the install succeeds. Is anyone aware of this issue / solution?
Hi Everyone, actually, we are having severe trouble managing and enrolling our applications which are bound to a managed google play account and located within two different application catalogs. When i am trying to update the information for approved apps from within an application catalog, i receive an error message that the data is temporarely not available. However, this message is viewed for about two days now and without any information from SOTI i cannot imagine of a temporary unavailability taking on for so long. However, the second issued is much more annoying. Both of our two application catalogs are assigned to several groups, either Smartphones or Tablets. Devices are showing the apps from both catalogs (at least from within MobiControl client) but when i try to install an application from catalog#1 on a tablet device a message appears that the Admin has restricted access to this application. Apps from catalog#2 can be installed without a problem and on a smartphone device any app from both catalogs can be installed onto the device. I've already re-assigned rules and profiles more than a dozen times but without success. Any ideas would be highly appreciated. Greetings, Markus
Is it possible to remove an assigned AD user from a device altogether? I know it is possible to change an assigned user but I can't see an option to remove the assigned user (to make it a true stock device). Of course I could just use a test AD user to help with this but I would like a 'cleaner' solution if possible!
Good dayI upgraded Mobicontrol from Version 12 to Version 14. After the upgrade I couldn't access the Webconsole and the deployment server was also not starting. I did a fresh installation of Windows 2016, SQL server 2016 and a fresh installation of Mobicontrol 14.1.5 I also restored the database (MobicontrolDB) from SQLExpress (as SQLExpress Size limit of 10GB was one of the reason the upgrade failed) to the new SQL server 2016 installation. After the installation, everything else seem fine except the Deploment server service which is not starting. I am getting an error 1067: The process terminated unexpectedly Kindly assist
I'm trying to re-install a package, that was previously installed on my Nokia 8 (Android 8.0.1) using an Android Enterprise Profile. The profile installation is now failing with the message File IO error on device. Check Storage/Permisisons. Any ideas?
I rolled back the package version on an update that went out, and since then every install has failed. The previous package version also does not show the previous package version installed anymore, yet all still have the old version of our internal apk installed. I was able to get one of the remote devices by sending an uninstall script to the failed device, then clicked "Retry Profile Installation", and this updated the apk properly. However, this has one glaring flaw: by doing this, I lose all of the preferences stored in the app, which presents a problem with so many devices out in the field. Is there a way to force a reinstall of the apk? MobiControl doesn't want to install over the existing application, even though the new one has a higher version number and version code.
Hi guys,Target Devices: BYODWork-email should not be used/configured on personal profile. Is there a workaround via SOTI Mobicontrol that we can restrict the end-user to use email-app on their personal profile? Here are my ideas if it is possible, maybe you can enlighten me how to do it: Admin will not broadcast Mail Server settings to end-users Admin will push email app/client Admin will preconfigure the mail settings Work-Profile Email app does hide mail settings so that user can’t copy and configured it to their personal mail client Configure mail server to only be accessible via SOTI Surf Or if you have any suggestions, appreciate if you could shareThanks!
Is there a way to reset webconsole administrator password on on-premise deployment? Can we do it via DB?

Hello In Mobicontrol 14+ is hard to select a group when there are several nested levels. There is not horizontal scroll. How can you cope with this? Is Soti planning to fix this very basic issue?
Hi; I want to send a message to the device with the "yes" and "no" options using the "Messagebox" command from the script sending screen. If the user chooses "yes", restart the device. If the user chooses "no", the message window will close. Is this possible ? Thanks
