    Disable Notifications for AE Devices per App via a Script

    I've got some Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (SM-T295) devices running Android 10 and enrolled via AE. They are constantly making background notification noises, which I believe is coming to from the Google Play Store. Does anyone know of a way to disable notifications on a per app basis via a script that i can send to the devices?

    Cannot open Google Drive on devices

    I have Samsung tablets on android enterprise that have the google drive app pushed via packages and included in kiosk mode but will not open. It will open for a second but will then close itself. If I leave the lockdown and try to run it manually it says that "this action is disabled by mobicontrol. contact your organization's administrator to learn more." I don't have any feature control enable nor do I have application run control enable. Specs: Galaxy tab A 2019 Android 10 Agent: 14.5.1 Build 1074

    Disable quick panel / settings - Samsung Android Enterprise

    Hello, Reaching out for a solution on how to disable the pull down - quick settings/panel on Samsung Android Enterprise without disabling the pull down menu, the notification bar should be reachable through lockdown. Is there anyone with a solution for this? Scripts, application run control? On android + you were able to disable this through feature control. I noticed that this setting is available through Samsung Knox configuration, but that is not an option. Thank you in advance. Model: SM-T575 OS-version: Android 11   Android enterprise: Yes

    Allow Smart Switch on Samsung Android Enterprise devices Solved Locked

    Hi, is there anyway to enable Samsung Smart Switch on Android Enterprise Devices? We've been trying to enable Samsung Smart Switch but until now we haven't been able to do it.In our company we have two types of devices, ELM and Android Enterprise DO, and all of them are enrolled in Samsung Knox and managed from Soti Mobicontrol. In our ELM devices we've been able to enable the usage of Smart Switch, but we haven't been able to enable it on our Android Enterprise devices. We've tried to create a series of testing profiles to see if we could manage to, but still no progress has been made. We tried every option available in the "Feature controls" tab,but none of them seem to be able to enable Smart Switch. It always shows the following message: "Security Policy restricts the use of Smart Switch". Looking around the internet, we've found information which explains that because security policy in AE DO, every feature related to security backups are disabled by default. Nontheless, there's a way to get around the problem in Knox Manage to allow it. This makes us wonder if there's any possibility of enabling this feature in Soti Mobicontrol. Our Deployment Server Version is 15.1.0.3416.     GalaxyApps Management

    Hi everyone,we work with MobiControl and Samsung devices, in Android Enterprise mode - full device magnament, with corporate catalogs in PlayStore. We have GalaxyApps app disabled so that no user can download inappropriate content such as games, unnecessary themes, etc. However, we need GalaxyApps for updating some Samsung system applications (which are not in the PlayStore), such as Samsung Calendar, Video library, maintenance app ...     Can't Enroll Samsung Xcover Pro 2

    I am trying to enroll a Samsung x cover pro 2 via afw but once I enter my enrollment id into mobicontrol. I will get: Enrollment Failed. Please retry or contact your system administrator.  I have tried enterprise and plus with the same result have also tried both google play install and from the website. I believe it has something to do with Knox as I never have this issues with my zebra's only with Samsung's and only every once and a while. Currently on V14.1.8.1064

    SOTI MobiControl Lockdown problem

    Hi everyone, we have a problem with the lockdown mode: Outgoing calls are enabled in the features, and I add an icon by 'Launch://com.samsung.android.dialer' like with other apps... The app opens, and I can dial the phone number, but when calling it does nothing... Device: SAMSUNG XCover 4s (Android 10) with Android Enterprise - managed device modeMobiControl v15.1.3.1021 In Android Plus mode (with Android 9 version and the same device) it works OK. Thanks!

    Voice input for Samsung and Google keyboard

    Hello, We are having trouble activating voice input on the Samsung keyboard (as well as Google keyboard) for Samsung Galaxy Tab Active2 devices on Android 9. We tried putting the device into a device group with no restrictions without any luck. We tried explicitly whitelisting the following in Application Run Control as well as adding them to the Lockdown menu items without any luck: com.google.android.googlequicksearchbox com.google.android.googlequicksearchbox/.VoiceSearchActivity com.google.android.inputmethod.latin android.speech com.google.android.voicesearch com.google.android.tts We also run this script on one of the devices but it did not help: manualblacklist reset manualblacklist add com.google.android.googlequicksearchbox manualblacklist on restartagent The only thing that works is going into Admin mode on the agent. That suddenly shows the microphone icon on the keyboard, but never in User mode. Our MobiControl server is on version 14.2.0.2894 and the current agent version is 14.4.3.1074. Many thanks, Tim

    AE SOTI Permissions Auto-Accept (10)

    With the SOTI Apps permissions checked in the add device rule is there a way on Android 10 devices to send a script to auto accept those permissions?  I'm enrolling Samsung SM-T307U devices and I am curious if there is any new development on this?  Below is a reference to recent thread I read about this same topic for more context. https://discussions.soti.net/thread/permissions-2/

    Samsung devices unresponsive

    Hi, We have successfully built several hundred Samsung devices over the last couple of years using Mobicontrol. However, the latest Samsung A21 phone and Galaxy Tab A7 tablet are giving us problems. Every one we build is OK until it is restarted, and then it becomes unresponsive and you often cannot even enter the PIN - it either freezes or goes black. If we re-start them a few times (difficult since the icons don't respond properly) they sometimes work OK, but another re-start and the problem comes back. We have seen this in the factory, and our customers have reported it. If we remove the device from SOTI/remove the Mobicontrol agent then the tablet appears to work as normal. Not sure why, as the agent seems to start AFTER the PIN is entered. Obviously this is causing major problems as we have had to stop building devices for customers. Anybody got any ideas? Cheers in advance.

    Samsung Tab A Remote Control Failure Solved Locked

    Hello, I have enrolled an Samsung Tab A 2019 as an Android Enterprise Device in Soti. The Tablet has Android 10. When I try to remoteControl the Device, where I have to push the "Start Now" Button, where It asks to start the Stream. After that the Tablet disconnects from Soti and I can't controll it via remote. Is there a solution?Tanks for your support!

    error message "notification access is not available for apps in the work profile"

    We have a Samsung device when we enroll to our cloud solution we see it in the console but the device shows the above.  I have tried to run the script request_appops_permission BIND_NOTIFICATION_LISTENER_SERVICE we get the error Custom log (Notification Access Permission was revoked) the Agent version is 14.4.1 and we are using 15.1 cloud online.   We can see the device doesnt show the mobicontrol in the special apps on the device at all and for some reason we cannot accept the notifications it pops up on the device with this error so we cannot get past the screen

    Samsung Contacts - Sync Option Missing

    We have a number of Samsung A40 devcies all enrolled on soti as android enterprise - Work managed devcies  all using outlook mail client for email. Hoever we are unable to sync phone mumbers from the users emal accounts. On a non enrolled device the user has a sync contacts option from within the contacts applicationa and this will pull over the required numbers. But on the soti enrolled devcies this option is missing? and I cant seem to find the option for allowing/disabling the functionality.

    Remote control - Black Screen after updated Mobi agent to last release 14.4.0.1028

    HI  We just updated our Samsung Tab A Android 10 with last released version of Mobi control agent and since this I get black screen when i'm trying to remote control it. I tried many thing like :            - Feature control - Disable Screen Capture uncheck          - Tried unlock in shell           - Resetting agent on tablet with :                _resetfailedrcdetectionflag                Restartagent   Nothing work. Also i'm trying to find a way to roll back agent without success.  Do somebody have any idea ?  Mobicontrol console verison : 14.4.9.1034 Supported APIs : SamsungMdmV57, Samsung RC v1, 839, Work Managed Device Thanks Claude
