When enrolling a device for the first time, I’m expecting Google Play Managed apps to be pushed to the device immediately. I have 4 apps set to high priority, and also have them set in the profile to the assigned devices. Lastly, they are set to mandatory. As an example, I have had a device enrolled for 2 hours and the apps haven’t pushed yet. I have seen some posts on here saying it’s really up to Google. I don’t believe so and here’s why. I am currently using Samsung Knox Manage as MDM for over 150 devices. I’ve used Knox manage for almost a year. When I enroll a device, the apps have always pushed immediately - within minutes, a few times I’ve seen it take up to 30 minutes but that’s even rare. I also trialed Hexnode and guess what, apps pushed immediately. Based on this, I’d say it’s a Soti issue. Overall I like Soti way better than Knox Manage, and has way more features than Hexnode. So what can we do to make these apps install faster?
The play store layout is controlled by application rule in Mobicontrol 14.8. After upgrade 15.6, the play store layout was changed to show all apps and now separated by app policies. How to set the play store layout?
Hello, is there already some mechanism to apply json files (created from Zebra StageNow) the same way as it is possible with XML files with help of Soti-script command "mxconfig" ? Of course I have already tried to use mxconfig with json file....just error in log: Custom log (Mxconfig failed: /sdcard/factory11.txt) MC 15.6.3, AEDO, Zebra TC58 with A11 (OEM 11-20-08.00-RG-U01-STD-ATH-04) I know I still can use XML Files, but already preparing for the time of Android 13, there the XML files are gone. best regards Martin

Hi, I have following setup: Soti Mobicontrol: 15.5.1.1010 Zebra TC58: OEM Version 11-19-15.00-RG-U00-STD-ATH-04 Agent Version: 15.3.4.1113 I'm experiencing missing IP and MAC data fields in Dynamic Lockdown after restarting the device. Neither Lockdown nor script "notify ..." updates it. Only solution is to switch to Admin mode and then back to User mode. Anyone else experienced this?

HeysanWe have seen one of our clients, also using Soti MobiControl, have added buttons to the lockdown screen. When they press the button, a new page with new buttons or apps opens up. If the press back, it goes back to the main page. Have anyone here had success adding subpages to the lockdown screen, that opens when you press a button on the screen or anything similar? We have a client who could benefit from such a solution. On the main screen they have a standard lockdown profile from the standard template. They have 9 apps but would like a button to access a manuals page, where we add links to open pdfs on the device directly. (using the file command)We don't allow them access to the file manager on the device, which btw is a Zebra TC26.
Running Samsung tablet with Android 12 and the kiosk lockdown is not getting installed from the Profile in the Configurations. All permissions for SOTI are set to Allow on the tablet. All other items in the Profile (wifi, wallpapers, authentication, etc) are installed and working correctly. What else needs to be set? Is this OS blocking the LockDown?
Device settings is automatically uninstalled from the device in a group. As it is a inbuilt application, how it will get uninstall once we publishing profile. Its been one month, still no solution from SOTI experts!!
Hi Guys, do you know if there is any possibility to disable the notification sound of Android 13 devices with a script or a specific setting? In my case this question belongs to samsung devices. I tried something like this: writesecuresetting -sys notification_sound 0 This script doesn't had an effect on the devices. On the device itself is the settings manager where every user can configure their settings by theirself. But we need to disbale the notification sound by default. I am thankful for every advice. Thanks!
Hi guys, We have ca 100 Devices in our Company all of them are Zebra Scanners with Android Enterprise, they run on full managed work profile in lockdown mode, the clue is that they are not everytime, also not all of them at the same time on. Now I want to push updates to this scanners, the otas get copied with a rule on all devices, but I dont want to install it at the time it ends downloading from the server, cause the user can have a important session on his device, thats why i want to do it manually. I'm thinking of something like creating a virtual folder like "scanner_update" and if device(s) are added to this virtual folder the script "install_system_update /sdcard/scanner_latest.zip" runs. Maybe one of you have a good Idea or know how I can realize this :)
Hi all, On our Android Galaxy tablets, which are all work managed devices, we require users to set a device PIN/Password for their screen lock but when using Microsoft apps such as Outlook, Teams, Edge, etc. it asks them to set another PIN. This could be the same as their screen lock but having to enter the PIN multiple times isn't ideal, anyway we can disable this requirement? Tried looking in the managed app config for the Microsoft apps and didn't see anything along those lines. Would this need to be a separate compliance policy? Thanks
Hello everyone i am currently working on deploying application policies for my organization. I would like to know which ports are used in the process of deploying application policies. Specifically, I would like to know which ports need to be open on our firewall for a successful deployment. Devices on our network are receiving the application policy and applying it without any issues, as I have uploaded the application to SOTI's server and am using the enterprise deployment method. However, when devices are outside of our network, the application policy is not being installed. When I check the Mobicontrol agent on the devices, it doesn't even recognize that the policy has been applied. I would appreciate any insights on this issue. Thank you in advance for your help! Hi, I have a shared device setup using AD to authenticate and microsoft applications in my lockdown. Is it possible to SSO using the "Shared Device Log In" details to the applications in the lockdown. Currently I have to sign into the shared device and then sign into at least one application before authenticator handles (some) of the other MS application credentials. ThanksAdam
