Hello,I use web filtering a lot with the SotiSurf app.However, on one of the devices, I need my users to be able to authenticate on Microsoft. However, the URL to authenticate to Microsoft changes all the time. I'd like to be able to authorize just the beginning of the link, for example: https://login.microsoftonline.com/* Is this possible? We have sites that use a non-user account to log in to an application. This is a shared device and all users use the same generic log in. They like Chrome because it will save credentials, but Surf has a nicer look and feel as well as being more easily configured.
Hello. We are using SOTI surf to display one of our Webapps on our tablets. Surf is configured with kiosk mode. Our problem is that the pdf files are not downloaded, and end-users cannot open them. I tried the same link (for our webapp) in other browsers (Chrome, Edge) and with these, the files are downloaded, and opened with the pdf viewer. Could this be a problem with Surf? Looking over settings but couldn't find anything.. Third Party Cookies, Javascript, Cookies, Website Cache, Open Files in Third Party Application are turned on Soti Surf version: 2024.0.0 Build 1 Device type: Zebra ET51, Android 11 MC: Version: 15.6.3.1018
We have a web application that our users login to with their Active Directory credentials. When they open the application with Surf and start to enter credentials, their password is displayed in the suggested text field. When using Chrome, the text suggestion area is blank. These devices are running Android 11 and it was the same with Android 10.
Hey, We are trying to use surf as a browser for a custom app however it uses offline storage if the connection goes down we have tested it and it dosnet seem to work. Can anyone confirm if there is a setting we can use to get it working or even if we can use Chrome in kiosk mode instead and if so how? Cheers David
This kind of error is the status quo of SOTI's MDM especially with apple devices. Lots of strange errors. I really wouldn't recommend this for iOS management unless you have no other choice. All of my users are unable to launch soti surf after the 2024 update was pushed a couple of days ago. The application "opens" as if a window is opening and the application immediately closes. These are devices which had a configuration profile for the app with several settings enabled to lock down the browser as we use these to access an internal web page and nothing else. I've tried updating and creating new configuration profiles for the app but they do not apply. It says configuration failed or configuration pending. I am able to apply profiles for other applications and configurations, but not soti surf. I have setup a new ipad from scratch, enrolled in mdm. My existing profile does nothing and gives me an install failed error. After the install failed, I created a brand new profile and attempted to assign it to the ipad and it now has a removal pending of the old install failed profile and a pending install for the new application profile. I've tried checking the device in and nothing happens. I'm on a mobicontrol hosted cloud server version 15.6.3.1018. Does anyone have the same issue? Is there a known configuration combination that must be updated to for this to be supported? There are so many issues with mobicontrol.
I have a customer who cannot use SOTI Surf as it looks like it is acting in desktop mode instead of mobile mode. Is there a configuration option to force it to work in mobile mode, like for example Google Chrome?

Attempting to configure a profile to access an internal website. When utilizing SOTI Surf the page background appears to load for a split second and then is replaced by a black screen with a white spinning circle as if its trying to load something. Other browsers (Chrome, Edge) have loaded without issue.
Hi,I am trying to Script SOTI Surf to be used for the sole purpose of downloading a firmware update zip file to the device. I need to do this without any input from the user and with reliable download manager.Is it possible to send Surf a URL via a script, something like sendinfo net.soti.action.surf URL http://www.google.com I'd need the file to downloaded overnight when the device isn't being used and for Surf to be closed afterwards. So far I've whitelisted Surf in my Kiosk, without a launch icon (our users don't normally have access to a browser, so Surf itself is in kiosk mode also) and have set the URL as the homepage. It can be launched by a start net.soti.surf script but it shows a plain white, confusing, screen whilst the download is occuring in the background - a bad user experience.
Hi,Anyone else are having issues with soti surf?Seems like after latest agent soti surf acts weird. I`m trying to open one page in kiosk mode. After reboot device acts normal for few secs and after that opens blank page that shows nothing.
Hello, it's possibile to show, in SOTI SURF (v15.6) in Kiosk Mode, the battery level of the device. Or show the upper bar of android device (time, wifi, battery) Let me know Regards
