Hi, What's the DCOM protocol for? First if we have for e.g one device enroled in SOTI V15.5 correctly ( enrolment OK, remote OK) in local area. Then the protocol DCOM is disable between MCC and the device because MCC and the device aren't in the same area.Which impact ? does the device run well ? remote etc. Thanks Regards,
As the title says, I am unable to delete a device from the console, every time I try to delete the device in question, I get a banner that says, "Error sending delete action to device", the system logs show it as a "Business Logic Error"
We have Zebra TC21's running Android 13. One of the requests from our business team is that the keyboard be configured to not use the suggestion strip, and have the number keys there instead. This is very simple if you have the phone. Keyboard Setting => Text Correction => Show Suggestions (off). I cannot however find a way to do that through SOTI. Anyone done this before?
I have Zebra TC21's that we are bringing into Mobicontrol, there are some feature settings that I can only find in the OEMConfig profiles. The profile shows up on the device page but for three days it is stuck at 'Pending Installation. The OEM config app is installed on the device and the only setting is to lock the rotation of the screen. Any suggestions?
Hi all, Was wondering if anyone else has had this issue, we've been given new Honor ELN-L09 tablets. The remote view on these are comepletely different to the samsungs ? We have to ask permission to get on and we cannot do anything on the screen ? We can do everything on the samsungs.. Is this a manafacutre thing or have we got to change settings within soti ? Any help would be great

Hello everyone, maybe someone here can help me. We have the issue that we are currently running a few devices with MobiControl version 14.4, and we are using the Google Chrome browser. We would like to open a website in fullscreen mode from the lockdown. Does anyone have an idea how we can do this? In MobiControl 2025.1, there are the app configurations where this can be set. Unfortunately, we cannot use SOTI Surf here because the integration with the proxy fails, and the helpdesk has not been able to assist me either. Is there a way to configure Google Chrome under MobiControl 14.4? Or does anyone have an alternative browser that could work? Thanks and best regards
Hi, i have a profile with a package (update) and send it to the phones. That works great. The app update and doensn't need the QR Code for a new registrate. But if i send the same profile with a package (same version or lower) to the phone, the app ill be uninstalled and new installed. In the case of the lower version, that is right and ok but i don't want it when the version is the same. Is there a possibilityy to configure that?

I've successfully used writesecuresetting in a legacy script to update the private_dns_mode and private_dns_specifier of phones running Android 13 and Android 14. Here's a working example: writesecuresetting -glo private_dns_mode hostnamewritesecuresetting -glo private_dns_specifier profilename.dns.nextdns.io However, I want to write a script that periodically checks to ensure that setting is still set, and corrects it if the user changes it. Also, I want to change the DNS specifier string based on the phone name and various other settings. I'm comfortable writing the necessary javascript logic, but I can't find a way to run writesecuresetting to change the setting. This seems like a significant oversight (either in the API design or on my part), and adding this would open all sorts of scripting possibilities. This may be an XY problem, so feel free to point me to a better way to do this. Edit: Just realizing this would be entirely possible if there was an API to run shell commands. That would open up all sorts of opportunities for more powerful scripting.
Talk to text (microphone icon on Samsung toolbar) is greyed out for some third party apps on my Samsung devices (we are wanting to use it within our Copilot app). I cannot find a permission to grant this for individual apps. Is this possible to do?
