Granting permissions to 3rd party custom app Solved

Hello, I am trying to install a custom app via SOTI for testing and possible deployment. Agent version is 15.4.5.1051, OS is 02-32-04.00-OG-U16-STD, Model is Zebra TC56J enrolled as Work Managed Device. I've deployed the app to the device as a package, and added it to the lockdown screen. However when launching the app it says I need to grant permissions. SOTI doesn't allow manually giving permission to the app. It seems SOTI isn't granting permissions to the app upon install. Is there any documentation on mannifest data and how this needs to be declared to SOTI for granting permissions? Thanks.

Cloud SOTI using 802.1X SCEP on Internal RADIUS Servers

Does anyone know if there's a way to allow a cloud instance of SOTI to use 802.1x on internal RADIUS servers? I use a SCEP template for a wireless profile and I'm getting a error message stating "Failure to Query template" on the device's when pushing the profile. Does the query come from the device or server? I've had a ticket in for weeks and no resolution yet.

Android Identity Not Applicable (Datalogic Memor10) Solved

Hello, I have ran into an issue in the last 6 months where our Managed Google Enterprise is taking DAYS to assign a newly enrolled device with an Android Identity (Google Work Account). This process used to be instant. I had a ticket opened with Soti and the technician that helped me, basically, stated "it is what it is" and there was no resolution besides waiting for Google to automatically enroll the device. Has anyone had this issue and/or found a resolution? Does anyone have a way to disable or mute the "Pending Actions" notifications.  (Device/Soti Details Below) SotiMobicontrol - Version 15.4 Memor10 - Android 9 v2.10 Agent Version 15.4.5.1051

    Dependency on enterprise apps Solved

Hey folks, I need to install an apk after a bunch of enterprise (app source) deployed apps went through. I saw that you can only pick manually uploaded packages for dependencies. Is there any way around this that I am not aware of? Thanks!

Android - Packages - Created a package to copy files to directory, keeps getting error Solved

This is in regards to the Proglove App's config files I created a package using MC Package Studio added 2 files "Proglove.proconfig" and "provisioning_cert.fleet" both to be copied to %sdcard%/Android/data/de.proglove.connect/files/ I also added a post install script that included afw_set_preferred_keyboard de.proglove.connect to set the default keyboard to the one required by the app I created the .PCG file using the MC Package Studio, added it to the list of packages in MobiControl, created a profile and attached the package to it, and then assigned it to a test android device but it fails every time.  The Error I get is below: Package "proglove" version 1.2 failed to install. File IO error on device. Check Storage/Permissions. Running MobiControl in the cloud v15.6 Devices that would be affected are Android 10 and up

I was wondering if there was a way to create a script that restarted a specific app. We wanted to test if restarting Staylinked would reset the connection when it freezes. Is there a command that can do this?

How to register Android Devices in Azure (but not in Intune)

Hello, We are trying to exclude shop floor Android devices from Intune conditional access policies (MFA, Installing Intune etc)  Reading through a good article here which I think applies -  SOTI Discussion Forum  (O365 Conditional access integration sync) However I can't get this link to work (sure it's probably simply just missing something  The users will have to register themselves in Azure by opening the following URL: https://[Your_DS_FQDN]/M365-registration/ Any idea what that link would be for my company (assuming we are using a soti hosted cloud server) Thanks!

Device list doesn't load for specific user

I have one user who in WebConsole that the list of devices never gets populated. User is a full admin, can view everything, but for 2 days now the list of devices never gets loaded, it just keeps spinning the loading wheel. There is no search criteria. We tried cleaning the cache, restarting the console and all...but nothing changes. It works normal for other users, and for a test user we created for him. The only odd thing I could see is that the multiple instances of the same user appears as connected to the server. Server version 14.4.4.1045

App stays disabled when rebooting while in lockdown Solved

Hello, When a device enters lockdown I lose the ability to use the nfc scan. To solve this issue I have added 'com.android.nfc' to the lockdown profile's home screen items.  This works like a charm, until the device is restarted while in lockdown mode. When the device boots up again it loses the ability to use the nfc scan. As a work around I have turned off kiosk and turned it back on again. This works, until the next time the device is rebooted. This work around is not desirable to say the least. Is anyone familiair with this issue? Device model:    Zebra TC26Device family:     Android plusAndroid version: 11Enrollment:          Android Enterprise Agent version:    15.4.4.1063
