I'm having trouble understanding how all these settings interact in my setup. Is there a tutorial that explains this clearly with examples? Here's what I've done so far: In my profile's options, I've set an Install Date for today at 2:50 PM (it's now 3:07 PM). The execution time is set to Device time. I've also set a Custom Package Installation Schedule: Weekdays from 7:00 AM to 11:30 PM (UTC), with execution time also set to Device time. Since we're 5 hours behind UTC, the Install Date should fall within the scheduled time frame. However, the TC52x scanner is still showing "Pending Installation." Am I missing something? I'm trying to test the installation of a single APK payload within a specific time window. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Recently we have had a number of issues installing the Omnitracs XRS application on our TC57 Android 13 devices. Back in July, we were forced to go to package-based deployment of the app due to a weird error when deploying it using the built in App Policy method (Enterprise APK upload). I have attached screenshots showcasing this issue as well as the device logs. Once we went to package-based deployment, now we are having a strange issue where the application does install properly, but randomly it will disappear on devices and need a reinstall. We have had 5 or more of these occur each week over the past few months. I am not sure if this is related to deploying the app as a package or not. I have heard some things about Google Play Protect possibly being the culprit, but no way to know as of right now. 1. Is there any way to get the App Policy to work again or is this a known issue? This doesn't seem to be an issue with Google as the device is clearly showing an error even when attempting to install it. 2. Is there any reason why deploying this app as a package would cause random uninstalls to occur?
Hi all, I'm still learning everything however, I was wondering if someone could help me. I'm trying to add content, videos/images marketing, onto the tablets. What's the best way to do this ? I haven't done anything with servers or anything so I'm not sure on that side of things. Is there a way of adding a folder into the kiosk with all of this on ?
Is anyone else bothered by the SUCCESS box in the upper right every time you apply something? It annoys me as it blocks the X needed to close the window and move on. It would be nice to have it smaller and out of the way or to turn it off altogether. Maybe only show a pop-up if it was not successful.
Hi, After updating to a new version of MobiControl, we encountered an issue where a script inadvertently ran multiple times on our end-user devices. As a result, some devices now have over 200,000 contacts, with at least 8 duplicates for each entry. Over time, users have also manually added local contacts, which are important for their work. I have been using the following script: import_contacts_vcf "/sdcard/download/All_Contacts_190324.vcf" 1 UTF-8 However, this script deletes all existing contacts before importing the original .vcf file, which results in the loss of locally saved contacts. I’m looking for a solution that can identify and remove duplicate contacts without affecting the contacts that users have added manually. Ideally, this script would detect duplicates and merge them, preserving all unique user-added contacts. Is there a solid solution available for this scenario? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hello, I have an issue with launching preinstalled apps from lockdown feature. It gives me the error "Package not found" even though the app shows in installed apps of the device. Apps that I installed as packages run fine (such as SOTI surf). To be specific - EDA52, trying to launch://com.honeywell.settings Any ideas?

Hi all, we have updatet our MobiControl installation to Version 2024.1.1.1053. First the installation routine was working much better then in the past. But we have a lot of Problems afterwards. - no remote control at Honeywell CK65 devices - all Relocations Rules are missing - it's not possible to install plugin on Zebra TC77 and Honeywell CK65 devices, even during the enrollment process - it's not possible to update the Agent of the XTrem Hubs, so they are not compliant and did not work, i have updatet one Hub manually, Agent is installed and compliant but the hub did not download any file / profile. We have already opend a couple of cases, but maybe i've got a faster response and some tipps here. Thx in advance Mark
Hi. Is there any way how to send custom data from SOTI to app or can I at least determine the profile, which device is enrolled in? The use case is that I need to show some information in app according to which profile device is enrolled in. I found only one way so far, which is to assign a config file to device from profile and then read it in app, but it doesn't seem like the easiest and cleanest way to do it, and besides, app need read permissions. MobiControl Version: 15.6Device Agent Version: 2024.1.4.1149 Issue: When trying to remote into certain devices, mainly Tab Active 3s (SM-T577U), I am met with a blank screen with a blinking cursor. I have attached a the image below. My question is, what would cause this? I have other device within the same group and geographic location which I can remote into with out issue. Is this a device agent issue? Something wrong with either my DS or MS? any and all information would be greatly appreciated.
Is there a way to configure items in the iOS Settings app?Specifically, if you go to Settings\App Store\ and scroll down to the Cellular Data section, and enable Automatic Downloads and set App Downloads to Always Allow. Also, we need to set the MobiControl app and a company app to once installed to automatically enable location to always for those 2 apps and prevent users from being able to turn it off. We have a mac mini with apple configurator installed if its something I need to create within apple configurator and then push it using MobiControl. Hello all!I have a question regarding settings in Chrome browser when using it via SOTI and managed play apps.I have tried to edit my settings via Apps policies and Browsers in the Profile, what i need is to get the "translate" suggestion removed. The settings that i have tried is the "Enforce Translate Mode" and also the settings "Enable Translate"Both of these settings are turned off and i have tried to turn them on but no changes in the Chrome browser.Any ideas on how to remove this? Would the easiest to just have the default language set to English?The default language is set to Swedish on the device, its a Honeywell CT65 running Android 11.
When creating an enrollment rule we have several options for naming the devices ("Configure Device Name"). One option is the "Auto Incrementing Numbered Sequence" as in e.g. DEVICE %AUTONUM% Is there any way to reset the counter used for the auto incrementing number? The use case would be having tested the rule with a device, removing that device from SOTI and wanting any further enrollments (to the same now empty target device group) to start from "DEVICE 00001". I suppose creating a new rule from scratch might do the trick(?)
